Kent met Uncle Drew as a carriage driver, who, after a few interactions, out of an unknown feeling, decided to become a loyal carriage driver for the brat he had just met.

It was safe to say he never expected him to become someone who was once known as the greatest warrior in the entire universe.

Then there was Nara, who was literally the result of someone being sinister and nasty. She was a captive, and then, like in every other story, Kent rescued her.

But now, hearing otherwise from Vexthra, he was a little taken aback.

"I did a little digging when you told me you had a new subordinate, and he is a Night Rider. It wasn't as simple as I thought, but after a few explorations, I found out why.

Apparently, there were groups of warriors who once protected this universe. These warriors are beings whose origins are so hidden that I am not even sure they can be found.

One of these groups is the Night Riders.

From my discovery, I learned something about the Night Riders and why every immortal, god, supreme, or celestial being will be after you if they find out you possess one." Vexthra said with a sigh.

Kent knew asking why wouldn't make any difference, for Vexthra would speak anyway, but he couldn't help himself.

"Why would they come after me?"

"That is because of what is hidden inside the 14th level of hell."

"What is hidden there?" Kent asked again.

"To understand, or before I tell you that, why don't we talk about the captain of the Night Riders, Kael Duskbane.

He wasn't deemed the greatest warrior ever because he was the best swordsman; it was more like his determination that gave him that title. His story started when he was just nine.

He is from a race of demons called Sun Demons. They live in a desert-like world, where the only green is about ten percent of the world.

They are not the prosperous kind of demons, but they are relentless. They are great warriors for this world. He is from a world that contains minerals that help them cultivate and grow faster.

However, a few months after Kael turned nine, his world was attacked, and everyone was slaughtered after an intense battle.

Not even a single soul was left. Neither the adults nor the children were spared.

You may ask how he escaped.

For that, the story will come to the one they once called Twilight Brand.

Kael and Vey weren't supposed to meet, considering Vey was born 1,200 years after this tragic incident in Kael's world.

However, on the night of the slaughter, when everyone was dying with many running to dead ends, the sun that was still just below the horizon turned dark, and from the sky, a dark portal opened.

From within the portal, a being that wasn't supposed to be born until another 1,200 years walked out. That was the first time Kael met Vey and the first time the Night Riders were formed.

Rumor has it that the Night Riders are creatures from Ebonviel; however, the records showed that every last one of the 66 Night Riders met at one point in time, and what brought them together was their darkest hour.

Kael was rescued by Vey, who came from the future to ensure the most dedicated warrior didn't fall. Now, I know this doesn't make sense.

Why would a person come from the future just to rescue a child? For that, you have to ask Nara once she recovers her memories.

Kael went on to dominate the battlefield, protected billions, and even went against calamities that just shouldn't exist.

Ask yourself, if such a person were to fall when he was nine, what would happen to the universe? What would happen to all those he saved?

Thinking about this now, do you see a link forming?

"I see. This makes sense, considering Uncle Drew said something similar now that he has started recovering his memories. However, I still don't understand why one would go back in time to save one person," Kent muttered.

"That is a story I will come to. But hearing it from the main source will sound better." Vexthra smiles. She wants to say a lot, but she can't, considering revealing this is already taxing.

"The Night Riders came together when the Wraith Queen was dying. But it was much more important than that. The main reason was because of something that every god would want."

"Let me guess. This thing came from the Wraith Queen," Kent said as Vexthra nodded.

"Her heart. The Heart of Darkness is what every god wanted, and as we speak, this heart is still beating in the 14th level of hell.

It contains something everybody would want to have."

"No offense, but are all gods this weird? Why would they go after someone's heart? I mean, I like collecting dead bodies, but come on, a heart is just too much."

One could say a devil like Kent should understand them, but his shamelessness knew no bounds.

"Be serious here, Kent. Right now, the only thing stopping me from capturing and imprisoning you is that you are the love of my life.

But others won't share the same sentiment," Vexthra sighed, watching the smiling brat who just didn't know when to be serious.

"Why don't you tell me why that is, and what this has to do with Uncle Drew and Nara?"

"Actually, this has something to do with you. This story I uncovered cost me 100,000 years of my life force and a large chunk of my divinity, but I had to learn something you really need to hear.

First, let me tell you why the two Night Riders are important.

First, Uncle Drew is the captain of the Night Riders, which means he holds the key to accessing the 14th level of hell.

Second, Vey is the bearer of true darkness, meaning she has the means to take whatever is hidden within this heart.

There is something hidden within the heart of the Wraith Queen, and she is the only one who can retrieve it."

Kent nodded, sensing something profound was about to be revealed.

"First, Vey went back in time to save Uncle Drew, which is classic. However, they went ahead and became a league of riders who graced the night with their green flames.

Now, tell me if I am wrong, but why would all this happen?" Vexthra asked hypothetically before a small smile appeared on her lips.

"Kent, what do you know about the 14 Primordial Celestials, or more accurately, what do you know about the 14th Primordial being that chooses not to transcend but instead chooses to sacrifice his life for this universe?"

"I am lost, Vex. You might want to help me here." Kent could sense something that he should be hearing or shouldn't be made known by anyone.

A part of him wants her to stop, but a part wants to hear what she has to say. Naturally, she saw it in her eyes; she wanted to say it.

"Of course you are... Naturally, this is why we are here. Everything revolves around you, Kent. Or should I rather call you Chaos?"

Kent's mind went blank when Vexthra said that name.
