Chapter 246: The red carpet [2]

Felix Alvarez the true identity of Persevis one of the few shifted players that we’re summoned whilst playing the game. Instead of his original body, he gains the body of his character, the elven strategist famed for his intellect. But for Felix, Persevis was by many of his accounts, a man who can accurately lead he was a man who played every class

"Multi-shot, mystic arrows!!" Persevis fired dozens of arrows bendable to his control as they locked on their chosen target

"1st tier magic combination, Ignition orb!!!" Their attacks went neck and neck for each of their bombardment negated every one of their shots

"Fuck!!" His neck would’ve been halved if he was a second slower than Persevis’s attack purely created by aura originating from his blade

’God damn it! I knew he wasn’t an easy pickle, it’s no exaggeration to say his current state is his prime. His role as the elven king gave him the most broken-ass ability on par with the Hero and the Demon King. Millennium Experience is a passive ability that raises the performance of any available skills. That applies to almost everything ranging from spells, weapon techniques, mana, and chi manipulation, etc— Bluarrggggh!!?’

As he wanders through his thoughts he’s sent flying through the castle walls by Persevis’s instantaneous right hook. The impact left him stunned as the impact left his nerves surging with his energy making it impossible for him to respond. Persevis readjusted his footing and paused before he unleashed a surge of energy beneath his feet. He manages to reach him just in time before he’s released from his stun and combines a series of fatal blows to shattering his bones

"What’s wrong? Aren’t you the one acting all high and mighty a while back? Where’s the tough guy routine, I can’t see him no... are you confused, that this whole place restricts your every move— Uarghh!!" From the rubble Morris’s hand emerges and strangles his neck before casting the multitude of spells he gained from the sin of sloth

"These spells I engraved aren’t the same as you think they were. Some added effects here and there but mostly because of the active sin... Slow will harden your weight, Root will drain your mana to create a trap and keep you at bay, and Restlessness makes you eager to stop... pair that with Fatigue which increases stamina consumption, and Insomniac damage over time the longer you’re awake," Apart what he spoke of Persevis felt another effect dragging his body to the depths below only for his mind to resist temptations

[Seven Deadly Sins: As the fall of the princess of purgatory itself these authorities were kept by their remaining member Lucifer of Pride in hopes of finding a new wielder

(Active) Sin manifestation: The chosen Sin shall be locked in place granting the caster skills related to the Sin

(Passive) Sinful temptations: The caster or hostile targets will be affected by the Sin be it positive or negative effects

Belphegor Sloth: (Debuff)

Positive effect: The caster who spread a debuff will gain bonus movement speed and stamina by 20%. The longer the hostile target remains debuffed the caster will have a decrease in energy consumption starting by 10% -> 20% -> 30%. The buff will disappear when there’s no longer a debuffed target within a 100-meter radius

Negative effect: Anyone suffering from a debuff concerning stamina will have an increase in their need for rest. If long-term resistance is present they’ll begin to lose their will to move. Apart from they’ll gain a decrease in physical and magical resistance by 10% per stack with a maximum of 3]

[Was it worth breaking your bones to debuff him? If you asked me it’s by far the most foolish act you’ve ever done. And this is me we’re talking about the supportive deity sugarcoating her words. Wait till you hear Sage’s reaction he would’ve been screaming in your ear nagging you to stop]

’This is the reason why I asked him a favor... it’s to keep him from entering my broadcasting, I know he’s gonna say shit and make me lose focus. Don’t worry great benefactor, I couldn’t move my body but that didn’t apply to the energy I have. I made sure to circulate tons of corrupted chi to further increase my regeneration,’

Even with the debuffs applied Persevis easily escape his grip and reached for a knife in his pocket. "Whoa! That was close, aren’t you a little energetic... don’t worry I just made everything fair as it should be. I’m not idiotic enough to go here without a plan, this castle... even if it’s made of wood, it doesn’t change the fact it’s made of the world tree!!"

The world tree was the symbol of life and death in the world they stood and as its nature, both good and evil will be consumed. The elven race was seen to be unbiased for they never once sided with good or evil and remain indifferent. But that was far from the truth, though incapable of using divinities they’re the ones closer to spirits

"Get your hands off of him!!!" A manifestation of life where not a single fragment of physical appearance stopped Morris from going any further

([Record of various species: A form of life varying from the element and some are often seen as good and others evil. Spirits never once fought one another for they knew that life and death are but a cycle. An everlasting loop forever intertwined in their existence and as they live they’re known to judge fairly and dearly hold their contractors])

"Finally you entered your second phase... for a second there I thought I’d nearly killed you, like I said im still down if you want to surrender— Oh come on!!!" He dodges an insane amount of spells paired with his aura originating from every shot he fired

"Do you think I have a choice? As much as im thankful, I can’t do shit... can’t you see im trying to subdue you. The moment this ending was initiated I was given a mission I couldn’t refuse. I need to kill the Demon King with no choice but to refuse or else I’ll die, I can’t die, I just reunited with my sister," As he predicted Morris’s expression hadn’t changed nor did it react with his situation and he spent no second and attacked

[System: The Elven King shows great hostility! It’s advised that the player prepares everything for the fight]

The castle was then filled with an abundance of spirits from every corner of the forest and merge against Persevis. His body changed and he undergoes a state similar yet superior in power to Silas. He came anew, his body amplified and changed from a noble high elf to the pinnacle of Elves

[System: Your opponent has entered his 2nd phase... the title has been changed from [Elven King] -> [Epitome of spirit] prepare yourself]

On the ground, they stood broken in the sheer pressure of his immense power as the two fell to the depths below. Morris jumps from one falling debris to another and clashed against his floating companion, whereas Persevis responded. Each side threw a first and the pressure shook the entirety of their surroundings

"It’s a clone!!?" Persevis was stunned when Morris was blown with a single punch and that’s when he appeared in his back

"I knew this wouldn’t have worked if I did it the moment we clashed, so I made you think I don’t have an ounce of mana left. Don’t worry you were this close on finding out if something was wrong I almost foiled my plan a couple of times. Sometimes the old switcheroonies is the way to fucking go!!!"

In his back were a dozen of his copies filled to the brim with mana waiting for the very last moment of their fight. Before he could do anything to wipe his clones, they immediately fired debuffs stacking the once-present and further decreasing his mobility. His attack was far less efficient than it was before, the copies manage to transfer their stored power to the original

"Killer technique... One punch to the nuts!!!"

Every ounce of power he amassed he used in a single stroke and aimed for Persevis’s balls with such great precision. He could’ve swung at every viral part of his body to end his life but that wasn’t his motive and to make things worst he ends it with a joke. An attack of tremendous disrespect that made the gods themselves humored by his vile acts befitting of his title

[System: The Elven King has been subdued! All that’s left is to end his life and move fort with the mission— ERROR!!!

Status: You can’t kill the target due to a condition agreed upon in a life-and-death contract!!!

Outcome: The condition to kill the Elven King has been deleted! The system has no right to cancel a life-and-death contract. Because of the contract, the Game master issued the termination of the advancement condition]

"Are you done?" At his back appeared a silhouette of a woman with short blonde hair paired with long ears and a petite body

"Don’t worry... your brother is in good hands, Sophie. It’s all thanks to your understanding. How bout we get a cup of tea?"
