To make the story fulfilling he’s given many things along with the greatest gift of all characters to have plot armor. A trope in which the odds are against them they’ll prevail, they’ll survive, because they are the reason why the story remains

Their small exchanges triggered something sleeping in Hugo’s current vessel a coded order that was long sealed. It changed him, the once human-like appearance converts itself to a form befitting to be a bane of all things vile. Metallic pieces burst from within his body spreading and modifying his body until he reverted to depict a shell

After what may have seemed to be a pointless journey they finally knew the twist of their particular situation. A distant past where war was rage on all sides of the world having no reason but hatred that can never be resolved. But now they found the reason, heavens will, the abandoned, the rogues who seek God’s love, they’re behind it all

"They who seek peace and prosperity shall become the very destruction of the world once evil disappears," Kurenai’s words were not a theory but the absolute truth for he knows their lifes purpose

To uphold peace was something the angels needed to heed but the safety of the world was a command they first attained. Thereupon monitoring the mortals learning they’re the leading threat to both the destruction of peace and the world. These feathered monsters set out on a war path to the extinction of a world that was forever fated to end

’The third arc of the trials of the past was an RPG that may first look like a usual war game where one nation must remain. However, Morris gave very crucial information in the middle of the arc that there was a sealed enemy. An opponent where they need to join hands to fight for peace, the demons, but what’s troubling is where are the angels?–’

"Terminate!!!" Jin manages to parry Hugo’s sword which aims for his neck whereas the speed is beyond his own

"...why ain’t this a load of bull? Fuck there’s no doubt that you’re the main character. But aren’t you forgetting something?"

Something collided with Hugo’s body pushing him back and releasing Jin from his attack where a streak of red appears. "Vampiric rage? I thought that only works on targets that possess blood. You’re full of surprises as always,"

The blood that encompassed Airis was slowly entering her veins her demeanor remained the same and always. "That’s a common misconception. The reason why the target needs blood is due to this skill’s downside. If our blood reaches the point of no return then we’ll lose control and even kill our own,"

"Save the trivia for a later date," Airis lunges forth increasing and accelerating her speed and Jin and the familiars follow the charge

Just when Hugo’s body was lifted from the metal beams its face was then clasped with such destructive force. "Balance recovered–"

"Prepare yourself... things are just about to start! My only advice for your survival is that you never blink," Although she gained the upper hand by having her take the initiative her palms were then bound

"Basic countermeasures applied," The armor reshaped itself as if to clasp her arm whereas his chest opened and fired a beam of light

The bats surrounded him and attacked whilst blinding his view from any upcoming dangers within his area. Blinded but it wasn’t fully helpless it felt the surging amount of mana from its right and it deployed a shield to counter. That move of his was predicted and the attack he so focused on was merely a distraction for the danger lurks in his rear

"It’s payback time," Jin drove his axe forward whilst Amaris thrusts the blade of his master but all that plotting was soon to be thwarted

"Defense breached!" Although its arms were preoccupied with shielding its front it wasn’t a problem for the metal to heed his commands

The bent metal was then shifted to a bundle of arms meant to cease their efforts but even this was predicted. "Oi aren’t you forgetting someone? Come over here! Right now ya hear!!!"

The arms turned as they soon collided with Elia where it struck a shield that triggered its effect upon hit. "What now robot?"

Outcome: Petrification for 3 seconds has been applied!]

"Backslash," Amaris’s dagger was then engulfed by a pitch-black aura where most of his demonic energy

"Flame enhancement," Kurenai on the other hand used the flames of his demonic race to further sharpen and increase the sharpness of his axe

"Threat incapable of blocking!!!" Hugo’s body suffered the full force of their combined attack which took a considerable amount of his health

"Threat imminent transformation has been forcefully triggered!!!" The four could only do was glimpse of its transformation where their bodies locked in place before its destruction

"Preparing counter..." Something popped off Hugo’s chest it grew bright red whereas the mana within this limited space was devoured

Before the explosion went off and a second earlier to Hugo’s transformation a silhouette fell below their area. "Chrono ritardando!"

It was their worn-out comrades that came to their rescue, Shin angled her finger as if it were a gun whilst focusing her mana. Rachel on the other hand threw a bundle of chains where it latched onto both Jin and Airis along with the familiars. The two pulled them out of Hugo’s vicinity and after was Shin’s deciding shot where she fired a speeding wind attribute bullet

"Catch her!!!"

Although the speed of Shin’s bullet wasn’t affected that also counts the recoil she had to suffer. The sudden force causes her to break off from the effects of the manipulated time causing her to fall. The explosion from Hugo’s counter further sealed her fate when the pressure accelerated her fall

"Airis!!!" Jin calls out to her whilst he charges forth and unleashes his explosive flare to counter the explosion going their way

"On it!" She dives through the dark pit before the explosion can clog her path

"Chrono Accelerando!" Rachel quickly manipulated her time which accelerated Airis’s speed to chase down their falling comrade

Although her speed was incredibly fast she was then troubled by the falling beams below wherein dodging slows her speed. Her humanoid shape made it hard for her to go further beyond her speed without using an ounce of her mana. But she knew it’d be a hassle to waste such a thing when their busy fighting such a monstrous existence

"Fuck! I’m too slow... wait that might work," After thinking it through Airis pushed for the only idea that was viable for their situation and then she turned to a bat

Like she had guessed minimizing her speed allowed her to not only avoid but catch up to Shin’s vicinity "What’s that gonna do? Even a moron knows it’ll be hard to catch me in that size. Are you even thinking– Urghh!"

As Shin said a bat wouldn’t be able to carry her and even if she could her body was but a hair away from reaching the ground. Because of that Airis thought of the most painful in a way that she would do more harm to her comrade. The skill blood warp made her body disappear and just when Shin was about to fall head-first to the ground she felt disturbed

"Got ya!" Airis’s bat-like form burst forth from Shin’s stomach and before she met the ground Airis changed and caught her

Relieve to find herself breathing Shin faces Airis who’s preoccupied with healing the hole within her abdomen. "Are you trying to kill me? Even the size of a bat is horrifically huge... argh my visions fading. I lost a ton of blood,"

"Hey I tried my best–" Their chatter was disturbed upon nearly colliding with a ball of flame that was revealed to be Jin and Rachel

"Shit, that was a close one. Who knew he’d be this strong? Fucking plot armor! It feels like a cheat- *cough* *cough*" Although they barely survived Kurenai and Ainsely rise upon the arrival of their enemy

"Jin can you fight him like you’re killing him?" Rachel checked the remaining time and she saw that only a quarter of an hour had pass

"... I’m trying, but that’s the main character. I’m lucky that im still breathing. And I’m making sure I wouldn’t have to resort to that," Although it was vague Rachel knew what he meant by those words

"Save it... we’re not that dreadful to die. Also, Plan B is ready to go. I managed to gather every data of Hugo Miller on the true ending timeline,"

"Guess round two’s gonna be fun," Jin unknowingly dons a smile nearly a perfect copy of his friend whilst he chuckled like a madman
