Chapter 273: Breaking the plot

"So that’s about everything..." After Shin woke up Jin visited her and told her everything that occurred in the last two days she slept on

"There’s only one day left? I’ve been asleep for two whole days? Damn it all..." She clenches her fist in deep frustration upon hearing the news

"Calm down... it’s not like the past couple of days had any major effect. Also, Christoper Morris is alive. That’s what my intel says,"

"It’s you..." Rachel hurriedly rushes forth checking her vitals to see if anything else occurred in her tampering over time

"It’s great that you only managed to get off by some little damage to your soul. I expected something more. Phew..."

"Rachel, can you tell me why we took her? If it’s information you’re after then... but knowing that you almost killed yourself–"

"It would be stupid? I know that’s why she’s more than intel. She is more or less chained to Christoper Morris than anyone else,"

Jin was about to speak but he was suddenly cut off by Rachel. "Isn’t Quo–"

"I know her... and her connection. But currently, she has a bigger role and that’s being the knight of conquest," She revealed her pocket watch and pressed a button which created a separate space from the third trial

[System: You’ve been transported to a realm of a certain deity. Their influence naturally flows. You were able to repel their influence]

"How long are you going to hide? I’ve shown you by hand. Isn’t doing all this enough for someone like you Sage?" Suddenly the three felt a lingering power emanating from within Shin and that power appeared as a hooded figure

[System: The deity known as ’The Forgotten Sage’ descended upon the living realm through the use of a divine relic]

"Who are you?"

His sheer presence was enough for their legs to give off from fright and even to a point where they lowered their eyes. Rachel couldn’t resist his pressure even though she was an avatar of a god who ruled over the laws of the universe. Even so, she too kneeled in his presence for The Forgotten Sage was a god on par with her own

’Primordial deities... beings stronger than those who came after because they held something thousands don’t. Their authority to wield the natural law they gained from their birth. Nyx of darkness, Chronos of Time, and Gaia of Earth. But this figure is different he is the ruler of magic,’

"Speak! Why have you daringly called for me? I won’t let you slip if it’s just for some chatter. My avatar needs me!!!"

[Many gods have ascended through means of both mastering chi or mana but only he was superior to all. It’s not that he’s born to wield magic but he’s the definition of ’Magic’ the law to manipulate as one desires. Time can be irrelevant, the sea’s dry out, and the world crumbles, but even if everything disappears... mana remains, It is a power that’s always there and he can manipulate them freely]

’Shit! Why the hell is this hard? Why is this timeline so different? Why exactly... to think that the weakest variants found the strongest deity? It doesn’t make any sense any more than this and I’ll die,’

"Damn it, Sage! Why did you spread your intimidation over here? Are you insane?" Just when things were spiraling out of control Jin goaded the deity and before it even moved it glimpsed through his soul

"Oh Kurenai that’s you? Well, I never bothered remembering your temporary faces. Why did you call for me?" His suffocating aura disappears and the three slowly regain their breaths

"Seriously? I thought you stuck in when we fought over Deus? At the very least you should’ve remembered Shin,"

He points out the nearly-dying body beside him where her mouth foams upon the release of his horrific presence. "Ah, shit! I forgot about her. Sigh... Morris is gonna kill me. Why did you call for me? Your friend is but a hair away from dying,"

"Knowing him personally it’ll take more than that to kill him. Look I wasn’t the one who called you. It was her..."

"Greetings... I’m sorry for the disturbance. I am someone who’ll guarantee the survival of your avatar. I know the future as well,"

Sage wasn’t too concerned nor did he show any signs of interest and said. "So what? I’ve already heard of countless Seers and by far my avatar is unmatched. What makes you certain you’re different?"

She smirks and says. "Im not the traditional Seer but I didn’t lie when I said I knew things about the future. To be honest... This is my 7981 contract,"

Rachel wouldn’t get anything from lying and instead, she told the truth in the face of an omnipotent and all-knowing being. Gods have a little-known factor of seeing through the lies of mortals upon their descent into the living realm. This phenomenon not only played in her favor but strengthened her standing as a key figure in aiding his avatar

"Something tells me it’s not all that... seeing you close up you don’t care about saving the world. But rather a particular individual?" His aura grew thick and suffocating and before he tried to interrogate her any further he somewhat lost interest

"Nevermind... I guess I truly don’t give a fuck with other mortal’s love life apart from my Avatar. I’ll agree to assist you but first..." A piece of paper materialized out of nowhere whilst everyone felt the mana within that so it diminished

[You see that? Incredible right? He just created something impossible. Manipulating mana in its very essence]

"Let’s get this over with. Sign this and I’ll be out of your hair. I only want one thing and that’s the safety of my Avatar,"

[System: The terms of the life and death contract have been settled on the other side and only your terms are needed

Status: Since the other party is a "God" if they don’t follow the agreement instead of death a part of their authority will be granted

Outcome: You’ve placed your terms. The deity can no longer harm, question, or leak information about you to his avatar. The contract has been fulfilled]

"It looks like my avatar and you have a history... well I already knew your request. He was hell-bent on killing other Seers,"

"Oh, I never thought of hiding from him a matter of fact I can stand on my own. But if we’re doing then might as well... I’m his ex," She offers him her hand to shake to seal their deal but upon writing her terms Sage could never go back on his contract

"So you’re that bitch? Damn it, I should’ve known. He told me he’d do just about anything if I ever caught you red-handed," He lunges at her but the contract forbids him and creates an invisible force keeping him and his aura from affecting her

"You had me right then and there. But my advantage is that I knew he was too hurt to ever mention me. I won the trade-off," She confidently says as Sage forcefully manipulated mana in even slightly damaging the shield

"Don’t be so angry. I only broke his heart just so that he could be better prepared for this world. If you’d seen him before you’d agree," After their deal was settled she closed off the separate space with but a push of a button and left with the contract at hand

"So that’s it? You used her as a gateway for him to appear? If it were Quon it would’ve weakened her,"

"Well duh... she has an important role. If I used her, then even with my plan it would be catastrophic, to say the least," She left and Jin followed right after ordering the demons to watch over Shin

They found themselves walking until they reached the exit of their baggage-like room held in the hands of the frost giants. Dozens of frost giants marched alongside their own, housing countless demons training for the upcoming war. She whistled where it sound was too high for it to be heard and suddenly dozens of giants rushed to her call fгeewebnovёl.com

"Mind telling me what the fuck is happening?" Before Jin could comprehend the situation the skies turned bloodred and the mana around them began to fluctuate

"I call for darkness..." A single line shook the terrains and brought forth a bottomless essence of dread threatening their lives except for one

"Grant me the power I seek and all the sacrifice I brought is yours to consume. Bring forth the power upon this land,"

The corpses brought by the frost giants include their daily encounters with demonic fiends along with the Nephilims. Their corpses stacked upon a singular point where it grew their very own mountain until they inevitably disappeared. Their carcasses were swallowed whole by the darkness and upon their disappearance, a blessing appeared

"Arrggggggggghhh!!!!!" Countless demons scream and even the four knights aren’t impervious to this spell she cast but seconds later silence remain

[System: The enhanced version of [Blood moon ritual] also known as [Devil’s hour] has been granted!

Status: The world has been engulfed in Darkness itself. Demons become stronger over time. Demonic beings are enhanced

Outcome: The demonic army has been strengthened and achieved a higher threshold upon activation]

The frost giants they rode began to leap, their bluish skin was no longer there, and only darkness remained. The ritual was never a way for them to grow strong but for them to achieve their pinnacle as they were a thousand years ago. As angels were seen as the light of hope they now roam vastly approaching the imperial capital as the ever-blinding shadows

[System: You’ve found a way to return the demons to their primal form; All devouring darkness!

Status: Due to your tampering with the plot the ending is being hastened to match the cause-and-effect

Outcome: The "True ending" has been moved from 24 hours - 3 hours. Once the amount of time passed he will awaken!]
