Re:write The Authors Transmigration-Chapter 295: Ravenous and Vile [2]
Chapter 295: Ravenous and Vile [2]
Ever since I was born all I knew was scorn... every glance, word, and movement coming from the villagers aimed solely at me. What they saw as they polymorph into a human, they witness a freak, a low life, a damned existence. I know no joy for not a soul ever taught me, but instinctively I managed to perceive hatred for that’s what I’ve been shown
"I’m gonna kill you!!!" As for defying his death, Kyo was befallen by the wrath of Song Hye Ri who unknowingly began to dwindle
"What a freak you are," Kyo took a step back and avoided her senseless thrashing as she slowly lost all logic along with the vessel she wore
’Well fuck me and call me a damn ol’ slut! Is she distorting just because she lost her ace in the hole? Still, I didn’t believe I’d be witnessing this scene from a different perspective or should I say outside of my own. I remember that time when I nearly killed that doofus, what is his name again? Right when I faced against that bloke,’
"I found the real reason why the boss annoyed me... pushed me to my limits. He made sure I wouldn’t be just like you," He stops her rampage when he takes the initiative and reveals his speed when he smoothly appears before her freeweɓnovel.cѳm
"I’m sorry but play times over!!!"
He interrupts her by violently slamming his knee directly in her belly which her body reacts quite immediately. Unfortunately, her regeneration took a wee bit longer denying her any means of defending her lifeline. Another head severed, she quickly borrows her summons ability and fortifies herself but she expects his enemy’s reaction
"Kyaaaah!!!"
"You think I’m an idiot? I’d seen that tactic so much that it’s practically a lame excuse for a counter. Do you think you’re safe? Well, tough luck I pluck another just before it hardens. And since you’re quite confident with your shtick how about I show you how far your actions are empty!!!" He slams her down with both of his arms causing the whole ground to tremble in the weight of his bloody fist
"Lurker: Void walk," Although she felt the force of his attack she used void walk before she felt his fury to the fullest
"Imitator: Look-alike!!!" She appeared in his back with an army of body-double that pinned him to the ground allowing her to fully chant her next attack
"May your fury burn my enemy, your wrath become my power, and flames be the weapon to slay my foe. Ifrit: Hellfire!!!" That attack of hers would’ve surely annihilated her enemy but a distant cackle proves to be defying her claims
"Seriously? Fire...? Against someone who turned into a monster living in the hottest place in hell? I don’t know about you, but you should doubt your actions if you’re not sure it’ll work," He uses the smoke created by her attack and his idle chattering to lower her guard enough for him to launch an assault
"Arghh!!!" Another one of the Leviathan’s heads came rolling down the ground she felt her senses weakening as the heads lowered in number
"Furthermore I should remind you that even such obstruction like the smoke you created can be used to your advantage. Just like what I did to you, didn’t see that one coming, of course not, I couldn’t see shit as well, that’s why I trained my other senses. How many is it now? Two? No, it’s three. I’ve been teaching so much and yet I don’t see a single token in my palms!!!"
As bloodthirsty as the Hound of Enigma ever was in the rumors of his bloody debut tallying the deaths of hundreds of players. Still, he wasn’t the kind to be cruel, he gained joy by killing, but not in a way that tortured his prey. Even when he’s out slaughtering he is nobler than a knight for he kills with no anger, irritation, or disrespect
’The boss told me that by killing players we can get exp. However, by doing so, we’d also anger the wrath of the system. Although we can’t be killed we’ll be heavily penalized outside of self-defense. He thought me of a trick, to bypass that restriction, to treat them like monsters, he taught me to kill with no remorse,’
All this time Kyo Min Soo never killed anyone with hatred filling his heart except for that time when his gang was in danger. He treated monsters like animals, animals as a means of preservation, and those he deemed enemies as monsters. Harboring no ill intent, killing with no guilt, even if the numbers total to a hundred the system wouldn’t deem it as murder
He walked nonchalantly lowering himself to her level, grabbed her head, and looked her right in the eye. "I’ll be honest with you... right now you should be dead. But as much as I wanted to, you kept pestering me. I’ve lived my life with nothing but hatred so I know the scorn you have for me is different from the rest,"
Song Hye Ri spits on his face and he sees it as her answer so he doesn’t extend their chatter and slams her head shut. Her blood descends onto the ground, leaving her bruised, and after plucking every head of the Leviathan he resurfaces. The force of his descent brought forth the attention of the King who’s accidentally locked within the confines of his skill
"Song Hye Ri... what’s taking you so long-" Before he could finish his words he felt the two tightening of his neck and the absence of the flow of air
"Hello there your majesty!!!" He met the bloodshot eyes of the out-of-breath who was slowly reverting to his original form choking his neck
"This can’t be happening... even if you managed to kill her- arghh! How come you’re still able to move?"
"That’s because I’m still in the effects of my skill (Single combat). I left you’re quack of a subordinate downstairs. She’ll die but I made sure I got some time left to deal with the likes of you," Han Ji Wook was confused but the longer he felt his presence it became certain that he would begin to exhibit the same hatred
"You! No wonder she couldn’t win... it’s weak but I feel the remains of the Wolf!!! Although you won the battle, what about the war?"
"Clearly we’ve gained a large fleet from our skirmishes. And with a powerful and wise commander-"
"That’s not what I mean- giaaaghh!!! Enjoy torturing me while it lasts. You think you’ve won? You’re nothing but a fool!!!" Han Ji Wook’s words felt like any thick-headed enemy he once fought but something told him it wasn’t the same
"What makes you say that? Who the hell are you to threaten me like that huh? Do you think I’d be shaken so easily?"
"Why aren’t you quite the little deviant? No wonder you’re still alive up to this day. You have spunk, I’ll tell you that. You’re one of those types who doesn’t fear death, because the moment you’re born, you have nothing, but what you’re afraid of... is the lives of the people you care about, because for people like you, they’re your most prize belongings-" He snapped Ji Wook’s neck as the more he talks it infuriated every cell of his body as if he knew everything that there’s to know about him
[System: You’ve killed the leader of the enemy side before you slaughtered the enemy representative!
Status: Due to your incredible feat you’ve gained 30,000 Evil points to your name!
Outcome: The death of both the ruler and the representative has greatly shaken the will of the enemy warriors!!!]
Kyo Min-soo remained frozen until that corpse was held in his hand and dematerialized upon the loss of the soul. He sauntered with no smile when the crowd cheered for his present victory his mind remained frozen in that moment. Rage begins to fill his heart, as he assumes the worst, and links this group to the very reason he sets out on a journey
’No matter how much I’ve thought about it, it never made any sense for my parents to abandon me in that village. I inherited their memories, good and bad, the memories before I was born when they met, the bloom of their love, and my creation. The time my mother told father about my creation he cried about how overjoyed he was with her news which led me to assume,’
He looks at the castle ruins from afar and his rage can’t be any more fiery with the chances of his assumption to be correct. "It’s pretty far off but maybe just maybe. That person... or maybe the ones over him might be responsible for the loss of my parents?"
The slight mention of the word ’Wolf’ kept on repeating and what’s worse his beastly counterpart was akin to a hound. As much as he’s left unanswered he quietly retreats to his lodgings to recover from the approaching finale of this war. He didn’t even feel the lurking presence close to him at that time as his focus was solely on his dreadful encounter
[Looks like their confrontation is fated at every timeline?]
’I guess there’s nothing I can do... it seems the only one who can shift their fates is him. And my presence in his life can shift the outcome of this world. I guess he isn’t called the author for nothing, any readers of his book can only make small changes which aren’t that big. Christoper however is different, every movement he makes, it affects this world be it good or bad. Saving you is crucial for my plan but knowing the cause I rather you’d die, your only shot at surviving is if he chose to do so,’
[So are we helping him?]
"The greater the risk the bigger the rewards... but every time he tried to prevent Kyo Min-soo’s death the chances of his survival is 30 out a 100. Even if it pains him, scar him for the rest of his life, I’ll make that choice even if I were to reveal my identity,"
