"Kael, are you alright?" Chloe asked, noticing Kael's weird state of being.

Kael stood still in his four limbs, his head lowered and his eyes facing the ground. The locks of his dark gold mane hung over his eyes, casting a dark haze over his face.

*PLOP!*

In the silence of the atmosphere, the unmistakable sound of a drop of water hitting the black marble floor echoed out.

Chloe looked closer at Kael's face to see…tears.

"I'm fine," Kael said with some struggle. He was not the one crying. Actually, the tears were coming from his eyes but he really wasn't the one crying.

It was Noel, or at least, Noel's memories.

Hearing Aziza's voice had triggered some memories of Noel and now Kael was battling with a mini identity crisis while some of Noel's memories flashed through his mind.

These memories were temporarily not under Kael's control and were simply reacting to the voice he had heard.

"Are you sure?" Chloe asked as she got closer with worry in her eyes. She couldn't agree for anything to happen to Kael here, not now.

"I said I'm fine," Kael replied calmly, he took a deep breath and exhaled with difficulty. It came out as a low growl.

The image of Aziza, what Noel remembered of him while he was still alive, appeared in Kael's mind.

A well-built lion with healthy brown fur and a black mane. Intense green eyes that matched his majestic stature.

Kael shook his head, ridding himself of those thoughts, he refused to let Noel's memories control him.

'I am not Noel,' He told himself repeatedly.

Chloe just watched his antics with a worried expression, unsure of what was going on. She also thought back to Aziza's words.

'Last surviving son of Noel,' Those words carried weight and a sense of melancholy that couldn't be explained easily.

When Aziza said that phrase, he sounded like an old man who had seen too much and was tired of everything. Yet, his voice also gave the impression that he was willing to fight if he was given the chance.

What actually happened during the time of Noel? Very few knew, and Chloe knew very little so she couldn't put anything together.

Only Kael, who had lived through the war that Noel experienced, knew just how terrifying that war had been.

The scale itself was incredible and he still couldn't wrap his mind around it.

He remembered that whole planets were forcefully pulled out of orbits and transported to form power based for earthen powered creatures or to create battlegrounds as the land they fought in constantly crumbled.

A whole planet, planets were not small at all, neither were they light in weight.

"He mentioned that the Primordial lion would know what to do here," Chloe suddenly mentioned as she stared intently at Kael, "Do you know what to do?"

Kael sighed, finally getting control of his emotions. He flexed his shoulders and shook his mane.

He naturally understood what Chloe was trying to confirm.

"Yes," He said. Kael focused on the signal that he had begun to sense, a unique signal that was unlike any other.

He was sensing the Law of Conquering. freewebnøvel.coɱ

This was unprecedented for Kael, he didn't know he could sense something like this. It was a distinct, foreign, yet familiar feeling. It resonated with him, it didn't call to him, but he could sense its general direction.

Naturally, anything that could have the aura of the Law of Conquering and allow Kael to sense it had to be related to Noel.

Kael stepped forward, raising his head high, and sniffed fiercely.

The way he was able to sense this law of Conquering was unique. Apart from simply being able to feel its general direction, he was also able to perceive it as well as hear its frequency.

It may sound weird to others but to Kael, the Law literally had a unique smell and sound. It wasn't a concept that ordinary mortal minds might be able to grasp.

"This way," Kael said. He turned to one of the doorways, and all his senses pointed at that door.

The general direction was upward, but the way there was through this door.

Chloe and Kael walked through the doorway, leaving the hall.

On Xu Ying's side, the group had also reached the end of the hallway and entered the hall with many doorways.

Just like with Kael and Chloe, Xu Ying and the rest had also listened to Lion King Aziza's message.

Their reaction was…

"WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK IS THIS SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!" Adolf thundered with his snout flaring and his nostrils releasing steam.

Xu Ying was silent, not because he was thinking, but because he was shocked.

"Does that mean we are not supposed to be here?" The spirit lioness among them asked.

"Are you fucking deaf?" Adolf asked, he was starting to curse more than usual. He didn't even care that this was the granddaughter of King Larvis he was talking to.

"The Primordial Lion? That's not even the issue right now," The electric lion with a mix of blue and white fur spoke.

"This place was built by an ancient Lion King. Not just any random lion king, but one of the strongest, one of the deadliest, Noel's own son.

Whatever preparations he made, he must have poured his grievances into it. Do you realize how powerfully broken you had to be to make preparations millions of years ago and still have it effectively be a hindrance to the modern lion kings?" The blue-white lion spoke in a grim tone.

"Just imagine the shit load of traps that are waiting for us behind those traps. He said it himself, this place is meant for the Primordial Lion," The veggie lion added.

"...That's what we detected," Xu Ying was muttering to himself.

"What?" Thawne, who was closest to Xu Ying asked. Thawne's weakened condition was still present but he was learning to adapt as best as possible.

"It was Lion King Aziza's heavenly beacon we had detected earlier. That was the original signal King Larvis had detected.

The signal must have leaked after Aziza's distortions momentarily stopped working. He mentioned that it would eventually fail at some point as time passed." Xu Ying said as he lowered his head and sat down to think.

"And?" Thawne asked. The others were also listening.

Xu Ying continued, "Then that signal we all received after the portal to the pocket dimension opened, that was another heavenly beacon.

No, it can't be,"

Xu Ying's fur stood on their ends and his runes glowed eerily.

Alora frowned, "That was Noel's Heavenly Beacon isn't it?" She asked.

"Aziza did say that compared to his own heavenly beacon, what his father had left behind was more important," Thawne said.

Adolf burst out a chuckle, "That's great, that's just fucking great."

"Don't forget that Noel literally pulled universal strings to make sure that the Primordial Lion eventually finds this place at the right time." King Larvis's other grandchild, the male spirit lion commented.

"Yes, and for the portal to have opened up at that specific time, at that specific place.

None of us expected that the heavenly beacon would be hidden inside a pocket dimension." Another one said.

"If that's the case, does that mean the Primordial Lion is already here or is on his way here?" A lioness asked.

Xu Ying shook his head, "He is probably already here and I have a guess who he is."

Alora's white-furred face sank as she also came to the same realization.

"Kael," She said.

"I played into the plans of Noel the moment we came here. Isaiah's revenge scheme, attacking Kael, him capturing Chloe and Wadolius.

Isaiah is still with us, giving him a reason to come towards us and toward the portal.

This isn't a manipulation of fate at all. Kael would have come here whether we urged him or not, he would have felt the signal we all felt at that time.

It all makes sense now, haha," Xu Ying laughed at the revelation he had come to.

"Gold-colored fur, multiple powers, the hints were there,"

"So you're saying Chloe and Wadolius could be hanging out with the Primordial Lion right now?" Orion asked, he was serious about his question but the way he put it made some lions snicker.

"Prince Xu Ying," Alora said out loud, getting their attention "Primordial Lion or not, we have a heavenly beacon to retrieve.

As you said, Aziza's heavenly beacon is what we originally detected.

I'm sure I don't need to remind you that without a heavenly beacon, we can't contact the other lion kings.

We'll be stuck in this world if we let Aziza's words deter us from our main mission."

"Crazy snow pussy…" Adolf muttered with a growl.

Alora ignored the insult however and kept her intense blue eyes on Xu Ying. This mission couldn't have been completed without Xu Ying's willingness at all.

Xu Ying heard Alora's words and nodded. He quickly organized his thoughts and returned to his stoic expression.

"We shall continue, our goal is not what Noel The Great left behind, but the heavenly beacon of Aziza."

Alora turned around, just in time to hide the devious smile she had on her face.

'I wonder what will happen if this new Primordial Lion dies,' She thought to herself.

Meanwhile, Xu Ying was already trying to decide which doorway they were to follow.
