Reincarnated Jester: Taming Players-Chapter 121: Return And Goodbye
Chapter 121: Return And Goodbye
"I need one more kiss to fully wake up," Jung said as he waited for another peck.
"What a spoiled brat you are!" Nira replied but kissed him nonetheless.
As soon as she did it and Jung opened his eyes to study the surroundings, a grumpy voice interrupted, cursing both of them.
"Can you guys not do it in front of me? It’s not really fun for me to watch," Nero said angrily.
"Then fuck off," Jung roared. "And find someone for yourself if you are so lonely."
"I am not!" the cat snorted, hitting her paws on the ground.
"Where are we?" Jung asked as he stood up.
The surroundings birthed a single word in his mind, calming his nerves.
"What a peaceful place it is!" he added, holding both of Nira’s hands.
"This is my realm. We had to stop here for a bit, but I had to send players to Maskera. They are in good shape, but time dilation would affect them sooner rather than later," she explained, showing him around.
The greenery, tall trees, various kinds of flowers, high fields, waterfalls, and cute cats—all filled the domain, creating a tranquil mood.
"I freaking love this place," Jung said but got smacked immediately.
The culprit was Nero, as she glared at him.
"What a freak!" she meowed. "I know what kind of man you are, and this place looks like hell for you."
Jung hit her back.
"It’s boring when I am with you. But if I have her, other cats, and my family, I think I can spend most of my time here," he rebuked.
Nira watched them, waiting for the climax of their fight, but instead of continuing, Jung asked,
"When are we going back?"
Nira chuckled as Jung proved Nero’s point.
"A couple of hours is all we need," she said, strolling with him.
Nero was shameless enough not to give them some privacy, hopping on Nira’s shoulders.
Shaking his head as if he were hurt, Jung didn’t comment on her actions.
"How much time do we have left before the second Fracture?"
[Less than a week,] the system answered as Nira enjoyed speaking in both ways.
[We need to meet your sister, Snowshade, and others.]
Then she took a short break, scrutinizing the cat and a man before her.
"What’s wrong?" Jung asked.
"To tell you the truth, the apocalypse should be dealt with fairly easily as long as we play our cards right and quickly."
She didn’t sound too happy about that.
"Is it bad?" Nero questioned this time.
"No, but I wanted to battle alongside you guys as well. I am afraid it’s going to end too soon," she sounded concerned, making Jung laugh his ass off.
"I want that as well," he said, squishing her cheeks. "But we are too OP for our own good."
"That’s just stroking your dick," Nira stated, not agreeing with Jung’s declaration.
He knew it as well and understood her meaning.
His strength was considerably greater than that of an average human, but against the grand scale of schemes, he was still far behind.
Yet both of them knew he would easily advance and his current words would become reality.
And it was closer than it should have been.
Nira kissed him again.
Jung didn’t care about Nero and went for a deep kiss, ignoring the poor animal who had to leave them in a hurry.
’It’s time for my passion project,’ he mused and didn’t stop.
Not that Nira had any intention of halting, and their steamy relationship began, lasting for hours until it was time for them to leave.
They held each other in an embrace, basking in longing love and affection.
When dawn arrived upon Nira’s control and Jung woke up in her naked embrace, he heard a whisper that tingled his neck.
"We have to go now."
Jung hugged her tight and said confidently,
"This is why you brought me here, right?"
"Of course, why would we have to delay our trip?" she confessed right away, dancing her fingertips on his chest.
"Glad to be in your service," Jung joked and dressed up.
"Do you know what happened to Snowshade?" he added.
"Well, well, you are asking about another woman when I am still naked?" Nira teased, lowering her eyes.
Jung knew she was acting like she was actually jealous, so he decided to entertain her.
"No need to be concerned about her. The only jugs my eyes care about are yours."
Hearing his attempt to win her heart, Nira smirked, flashing him again as she answered.
"She was with your sister as soon as she was spawned in the ruler’s realm. She was captured, but Elara released her and took her the moment she slayed the god."
Jung clapped happily and thought carefully.
"I want to see Elara. We better go," he said, strolling through the woods.
Nira walked beside him, hands clasped together.
They encountered cats on the way as they played around, connecting with nature.
The couple had to stroll for a while to find Nero.
She stood alone, pondering in front of the waterfall.
"She is so cute," Nira said to Jung.
"Let’s go, pet her, and get on her nerves," he agreed, approaching the cat.
"You can do that afterward. We need to go back now," she told him and sped up.
"Looks who is here," Nero noticed them, speaking like she was upset. "Did you guys have a good time?"
Listening to her question, they looked at each other, smiling and enraging Nero even further.
"What a pervert you are. I knew Jung was a sick fuck, but Vex as well? I am disappointed in you. Couldn’t you at least wait for a bit?"
There was no emotional response to her complaints except her chuckle and request.
"Can you ask your friends to get ready?"
"Sure," Nero said, left for a minute, and came back with every cat that still existed.
They followed her behind, anticipating the upcoming travel.
Nira didn’t dwell on it, letting the light particles envelop everyone as their vision was obstructed.
Five minutes later, Jung opened his eyes.
He was back in the Arcane City, close to the dungeon he entered with players.
Nira, Nero, and the cats were somewhere close by, walking around the forest.
As soon as Jung spotted them, he approached Nira and questioned others.
He found out about their condition, glared at Nero, who still sat on Nira’s shoulders, and shooed her away.
"Our first destination is Arcane Academy," the woman said.
Jung nodded, changing his appearance back.
However, instead of his young self, Jung had grown up as if the four years he had skipped had caught up to him.
"How can you be ugly in every shape and form?" Nero commented.
Neither did Nira like his 18-year-old appearance.
She was used to Balatro’s face, but she knew it was a necessary change.
’I am less of a brat than before,’ Jung mused, getting used to his taller frame.
His limbs were longer, muscles more toned, his voice deeper, and his face more mature.
Not wasting time on useless things, he strolled with his cohort, but before reaching the city, Nero stopped him and said,
"I need to go with them," she said, talking about her kin. "We need to find our place in this world and prepare first for the apocalypse."
Jung pondered for a second.
"You need to rebuild your country as well, Your Highness," he said but didn’t show any sadness.
As if she could read his thoughts, Nero said in a teasing manner,
"Don’t worry, you won’t have time to miss me. I will be back before that."
Jung snorted but felt Nero’s touch as she tried to hug him after leaving Nira’s shoulders.
"Dude! Get away from me, you are so gross!" Jung yelled but didn’t fight back.
Nero’s smile deepened, scratching his neck.
"It’s payback for that one time. I will meet you before you go back to your home," she said, hopping out of his face.
Then she hugged Nira as well, caressing her head.
"See you, bestie. Hope you will be pregnant next time I see you," she added mischievously and disappeared.
"Thank god!" Jung exclaimed. "That annoying fuck is finally gone."
"Now you are hugging another woman in front of me," Nira teased with her bewitching smile.
As always, Jung understood her true intentions and said,
"Do you want a tiny trickster to pass on our greatness? It will be our ultimate creation," he said, seriously considering Nero’s words.
"No, when you look like that," Nira said as they reached the city gates.
Then they crossed the streets, studying the almost unchanged scenery.
Everything looked the same as if the last four years didn’t affect the world, but people looked different.
They seemed more quiet, tamed, and afraid, expecting the doom in every waking moment.
Only players seemed unaffected.
Most of them had reached Tier VIII, but Jung couldn’t contact his guild members.
"You will get your rewards the moment you cross the abyss," Nira said as they reached the Arcane Tower.
There was no one to greet him.
’Where is that white-costumed oldie?’ Jung thought, recalling Walt, who was top on his kill list.
