Rise of the Rejected Deity from Chaos-Chapter 190 - 189: Who is Seiya?
"Your impertinence knows no bounds, it seems," Seiya seethed, pressing the man firmly to the ground like he wanted to bury his head into the concrete floor.
Words alone couldn't express the shock that rippled through everyone present—especially the commander whose eyes had widened till the point of hilarity.
The shock numbed his body, stilling him in place like the others as they gazed at Seiya in stunned disbelief. The killer's subordinates were frozen, too stunned to even react.
The man Seiya pinned beneath him moved, trying to get free, but Seiya tensed his foot that was already pressing down the man's arm, and crushed it without hesitation.
A suppressed scream tore from the man, the pain causing adrenaline to rush through his veins. His muscles bulged, stiffening as he curled up, trying to throw Seiya off. With his other hand, he grabbed Seiya by the back of his neck, attempting to pull him off, but Seiya didn't budge.
"You irritate me," Seiya said in a cold voice as he dug his free hand into the man's chest with effortless ease, splattering blood onto his face as he tore out his heart.
Instantly, the man went still, lifeless. In front of all the wide, frozen eyes staring in bewilderment, Seiya crushed the man's heart within his grasp, splattering blood around.
Without a word, Seiya rose to his feet, flicking his wrist to get the man's blood off. Slowly, he turned over to the rest of the killers, his expression hidden behind the blindfold.
"Tsk! We have to handle things ourselves now," one of the killers standing at the front said, evidently angered by Seiya's actions.
Although they were struck with shock mixed with fear, they quickly shook it off, aware of what they'd come to do, and how they shouldn't be shaken by a mere child—according to how they saw Seiya.
"Our priority should be on eliminating the commander, focus on that. I'll handle the boy."
Unbothered by this, Seiya calmly walked toward them, and as he approached, they immediately went into a fighting stance, alert.
"I don't know what is making you so bold, but do you think you can handle all five of us at once?" One of the killers asked, his tone a bit taunting.
Seiya paused, took a step forward and crouched into a sprinting stance. "I do not have to think."
In an instant, he surged forward—a blur of motion trailing a shockwave of wind. Before the killers could so much as flinch, Seiya drove a devastating punch into the first man's face, the force obliterating his skull and carrying straight into the next, delivering the same brutal end.
Bits of flesh and bones scattered about, blood spraying onto everyone nearby. The two men slumped to the ground with a thud, lifeless and headless. Blood spilled from their open wound, spreading slowly across the floor in a dark stain.
Without a moment's hesitation, Seiya seized one by the neck, his fingers driving in with merciless precision. Flesh tore beneath his grip, and blood erupted in a violent spray as the man's head dropped forward, barely tethered to his body by ragged strands of flesh.
He collapsed with a dull thud, his mangled head lolling at an unnatural angle—dangling by little more than a shred of torn sinew."
From how ruthless Seiya dispatched the men, the commander and the two remaining killers were gripped with unnerving unease. The commander was so unsettled he couldn't process things as he watched in frozen silence.
Seiya whipped his head to the side, turning to the two remaining killers. They flinched, inching back slowly.
"W-what's your business with us?" One of them asked, slightly trembling but standing his ground. "We are only here for the commander, why are you interfering?" freeweɓnøvel.com
Ignoring the question, Seiya started walking toward them, his body soaked with blood that dropped to the ground with every step.
"I-if you you insist, w-we'll have to k-kill you as well," the other killer, who hid behind his comrade, stammered.
Before anyone could process anything further, a flicker of movement was all that caught their eyes, and the next thing they saw was one of the killers slumping to the ground—a gaping hole in his chest where his heart was supposed to be.
The last killer standing trembled vigorously, staggering back with huffing breaths—nervous sweat beading his face. His heart pounded loud and hard, fear hitting against his nerves.
With each step Seiya took toward him, the man inched back, staggering till he fell on his butt. Seiya stopped before him, crouching forward.
Extending his hand, Seiya reached behind the man's head, wrapping his hand around the back of his head. The man shuddered at Seiya's touch, his body trembling as Seiya tightened his grip.
With a single forceful tug, Seiya yanked the man's head back, lifting his gaze so it met his that was cast down.
"What satisfaction do you gain from disturbing another's rest?" Seiya asked, his voice calm as his words fell upon the face of the man he held firmly in place.
As if expecting a sincere answer, Seiya fell silent. But the man, paralyzed by fear, could do nothing but tremble—his skull throbbing beneath the unyielding grip around the back of his head.
Seiya's gaze lingered, cold and contemplative, studying the man in silence. Then, without warning, he drove the man's face into the floor with brutal force—shattering his skull, and ending him in an instant.
{All done,} Ibyu chimed from within, its tone loud and cheering like Seiya had done something so positive to be proud of.
{The commander must be so shaken right now. I wonder how he looks,} Ibyu chuckled.
"I don't know, I can't see. My eyes are strained," Seiya replied, rising up. "Now I have to freshen up all over again," he seethed under his breath.
Unbothered and nonchalant by his actions and the corpse lying around, Seiya casually turned to the commander's direction. The commander flinched, his already raspy breath hitching.
Seiya gazed briefly at him, silent and observing which caused a chill to run down the commander's spine.
After seeing what Seiya was capable of, he didn't really want to have the same boy—one who ruthlessly killed those killers to be gazing right at him.
Seiya turned away, tracing his steps back to the chambers. "Don't make any noise," he said, leaving the dumbfounded man all to himself.
