Miles smiled softly. "I love you too."
Ethan kissed him again, deeper this time, and gently laid him down on the bed. Miles’s head rested on the pillow as Ethan held his waist, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss.
A soft moan escaped Miles as Ethan trailed kisses along his body, occasionally biting down, leaving traces of desire. Miles’s fingers gripped the sheets tightly.
Ethan moved closer, entering him slowly. Miles gasped—a mix of pleasure and the sting of pain danced across his face.
"You’re so beautiful," Ethan murmured, smiling as he gazed at Miles.
Their lips met again, sealing everything in another heated kiss.

At Bast’s house, Kai and Bast lay together on the bed. Kai rested his head on Bast’s chest and asked softly, "Bast... when did you fall in love with me?"
Bast looked down at him and smiled. "You really want to know?"
Kai nodded. "Yes."
Bast took a breath. "The first time I saw you in Japan, I just thought of you as a kid I needed to protect. But then... I looked into your eyes—those shiny, curious eyes—and I felt something. At first, I didn’t understand it. I thought it was just responsibility. But as you grew up, my feelings changed. They became stronger, deeper. I realized it wasn’t just care or affection. I was falling in love with you."
Kai looked up, his expression shifting. "So... that means the first time we slept together—it wasn’t a mistake?"
Bast chuckled teasingly. "I didn’t plan to, but you kissed me so hungrily, I couldn’t control myself. We ended up in bed together. I can’t forget that night."
Kai’s cheeks flushed red. "That’s why I stopped drinking..."
Bast smiled gently. "It’s okay. You don’t need anything now to be close to me."
Kai looked away shyly, and Bast leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead and gently patting his head.
Kai said softly, "At college, my friend Eden invited me and Miles to his sister’s wedding."
Bast’s fingers gently traced through Kai’s hair. "Oh? A new friend? That’s rare—you’re usually only with Miles."
Kai smiled. "He’s a good guy. We became friends after being paired for a class project."
"That’s nice," Bast replied. "A married life, huh?"
"Yeah," Kai said with a little nod.
Bast suddenly looked at him with a smile. "Then let’s get married too."
Kai blinked. "Married?"
"Yes," Bast said. "I’m not getting any younger, and I’m still single. I want to get married. Let’s do it."
Kai looked hesitant. "But you were already married... to my mom."
"That was a fake marriage," Bast said calmly. "In my real life, I’ve never been married."
"So... this would be your first real marriage?" Kai asked.
Bast nodded with a warm smile. "Yes. And I’m really excited for our first night."
Kai blushed. "But we’ve already slept together so many times... why are you excited?"
Bast leaned closer with a playful grin. "Because the first night after marriage is special."
Kai’s face turned bright red. Bast laughed and pulled him into a tight hug.
"You look like a cute, shy little bride," he teased.
"Stop it!" Kai said, hiding his face.
"I really mean it," Bast whispered with a smile, kissing the top of his head.
_____
At Rico’s House
Rico lay on his bed, scrolling through his phone, lost in thought. Why is Jeff so kind to me? he wondered. And why isn’t he with Bast anymore? Did Bast fire him?
The idea made Rico smirk. If that’s the case, it’s good news. He sat up slightly. Maybe I should hire Jeff as my personal secretary... That’s actually a great idea.
But then he paused, phone in hand. Why am I so interested in this guy? he asked himself. No, Rico—be a good boy. No more distractions.
He tossed the phone onto the table and exhaled, trying to shake off the thoughts.
Then another thought crept into Rico’s mind. Where did Jeff go? Why hasn’t he shown up at Bast’s office? What happened to him?
Rico let out a long sigh and sank deeper into the bed, his thoughts swirling. He turned off the lights, hoping sleep would silence the questions buzzing in his mind.
Next Morning
Kai’s phone rang while his head was still resting on Bast’s chest. He groaned softly, trying to feel around for his phone without moving too much. Finally grabbing it, he answered in a sleepy voice, "What, Miles? Why are you calling so early on a weekend?"
Miles’ excited voice came through the speaker. "Kai, get up! I’ve got good news for you!"
Kai squinted at the screen. "What is it?"
"Nope," Miles teased. "I’m not telling over the phone. Let’s meet up for breakfast, and I’ll spill everything then."
Bast stirred beside him, his eyes fluttering open as he looked at Kai with a sleepy smile. He leaned in and stole a quick kiss. "Good morning," he murmured.
Still on the phone, Miles said, "Let’s meet at the usual restaurant—and bring Bast with you. You’ve got twenty minutes!"
"Alright, alright, bye," Kai mumbled, hanging up.
Bast gently wrapped his arms around him. "What did Miles say?"
"He said he’s got good news and wants to meet for breakfast," Kai replied.
Bast smiled. "Really? Then give me a good morning kiss."
Kai turned his face away. "You already stole it."
Bast chuckled. "Nope. That one doesn’t count."
He pulled Kai closer until their faces nearly touched. Kai blushed slightly and leaned in, giving him a soft, tender kiss on the lips.
At the Restaurant
Kai and Bast arrived at the restaurant where Miles and Ethan were already waiting at a table. As soon as Kai spotted them, Miles raised his hand and called out, "Kai!"
Kai smiled and walked over with Bast by his side. They took their seats at the table.
Bast looked at Ethan and asked, "What’s up?"
Ethan smirked. "I’m good."
Kai glanced between the two. "So, what did you want to talk about, Miles?"
Miles smiled as Ethan casually placed a hand on his shoulder. "We’ve decided to get married," Ethan announced.
Kai’s eyes widened with joy. "Really?!"
Bast smiled. "Congratulations."
Miles gave a shy smile and nodded. "Yes."
Kai beamed. "That’s such good news!"
Bast added, "So, did Mr. Victor agree to this?"
Miles’ smile slowly faded.
Kai noticed the shift in his expression just as Ethan spoke up. "Dad’s still trying to convince me to marry a woman," he said, his tone firm. "But I already told him I love my Milk."
"That’s why I decided to marry Miles so soon. I’ve done all I can... I just don’t want to lose him," Ethan said quietly.
Miles looked at him, eyes filled with emotion. Ethan gently reached out and held his hand.
"Dad is trying to tear us apart... I know how stubborn he can be."
Miles looked down, his face going pale.
Kai tried to stay positive. "It’s a good move—getting married." "I’m really happy for both of you."
Ethan nodded.
Bast grinned and said, "Let’s celebrate then. How about a party?"
Ethan raised a brow. "Really? You wanna try again? Kai might end up drunk."
Bast blinked innocently. "Now I don’t need to get him drunk to get close."
Kai blushed and looked away. "Enough... Let’s just eat breakfast."
Bast chuckled. "Okay. So, tonight—party’s on me."
Ethan smirked. "Deal."
Miles forced a smile, but Kai could see the uneasiness behind it. He wanted to comfort him, but he couldn’t—he had promised Miles to keep the secret.
After Breakfast
As breakfast came to an end, Bast and Ethan shifted the conversation to work matters. While they talked, Miles quietly stood up from his seat.
"I need to use the restroom," he said softly and walked away.
Kai noticed and stood up too. Without saying much, he followed behind.
In the restroom, Miles leaned over the sink, taking deep breaths to calm himself down. Just then, he felt a gentle pat on his back.
Kai’s voice came from behind. "Is everything okay?"
Miles turned around and immediately hugged him. "Kai..."
Kai held him. "Are you okay?"
Miles trembled slightly. "Last night... we had dinner with Victor. He looked at me with those eyes—those same dangerous eyes, Kai. I don’t know what to do..."
Kai gently wiped a tear from Miles’ cheek. "Don’t be scared. I’m here, okay? I won’t let anything happen to you."
Miles nodded slowly, his body still tense.
Unbeknownst to them, someone stood quietly near the doorway, snapping secret photos. The camera clicked, capturing Kai’s face and posture clearly—but not Miles.
Kai didn’t notice. "Come on," he said, placing a hand on Miles’ shoulder. "Let’s go. Bast and Ethan are waiting for us."
Miles took a deep breath and gave a small nod. "Okay."
Together, they walked out of the restroom, unaware of the camera flash that had just disappeared into the shadows.
