Chapter 43: "A Little Date"

[MATURE CONTENT]

Bast and Kai were having dinner together. Kai sat at the table, glancing at the time, waiting impatiently.

He murmured, "Where is Bast? How long do I have to wait?"

Just then, Bast walked in and sat across from him. "Did I take too long?" he asked with a smile.

Kai nodded. "Yes. I waited too long."

Bast chuckled softly and said, "I’m sorry."

Kai crossed his arms. "Nope. I can’t forgive you that easily."

Without warning, Bast stood up and gently took Kai’s hand, making him stand too.

Kai blinked, confused. "What are you doing?"

Bast didn’t answer right away. He sat back down and opened a small velvet box.

Kai’s eyes widened in shock. He stood frozen, unable to blink.

Bast looked up at him, eyes sincere. "Kai... will you marry me?"

Kai’s face was still frozen in disbelief, completely stunned.

Bast added, "I promise I’ll protect you forever. Love you with everything I have."

Finally, Kai blinked and gave a small, shy smile. Slowly, he raised his hand toward Bast.

Bast’s eyes filled with tears. With trembling hands, he placed the ring on Kai’s finger.

Then Kai picked the second ring from the box and slipped it onto Bast’s finger.

Bast pulled Kai into a tight embrace. "I love you. Finally, Kai, I have you. You’re mine forever. Don’t leave me, Kai," his voice cracked with emotion.

Kai whispered back, "I love you too. I’m not leaving you."

Bast kissed Kai passionately, his voice warm against Kai’s lips. "I waited longer than you, Kai."

Kai blinked, a bit breathless. Bast glanced down at their hands, still intertwined, and smiled at the rings shining on their fingers.

Kai asked softly, "When did you plan this?"

Bast chuckled. "Just recently. That’s why you had to wait so long."

Bast took a deep breath. "Let’s fix a date to get married."

Kai smiled but shook his head. "Bast, we can’t set our wedding date so quickly. First, let’s enjoy Ethan and Miles’s wedding. Then, after them, it’ll be our turn."

Bast wrapped an arm around Kai’s waist, pulling him closer. "More waiting? I can’t wait anymore."

Kai laughed gently. "You can. We can’t ignore Ethan and Miles’s big day."

Bast sighed but gave in. "Okay."

He kissed Kai’s cheek again, then again, and again.

Kai swatted at him playfully. "That’s enough," he said with a shy smile.

Bast teased, "Why are you acting like a blushing bride now? We still have time before our wedding."

"I’m not," Kai huffed, pushing him lightly.

"You are," Bast grinned. "Look at yourself." He touched Kai’s cheeks. "They’re all red."

Leaning close, Bast whispered near Kai’s ear, his voice low and teasing, "Are you getting too excited for our first night?"

Kai’s cheeks and ears flushed crimson. "Bast!" he pushed him away again and quickly sat back down at the table, flustered.

Kai cleared his throat and said, "Let’s eat."

Bast smiled and sat across from him at the table. "I was just thinking... how you’d look in a wedding dress, Kai."

Kai’s eyes widened, his cheeks immediately flushing pink. "Enough!" he huffed, flustered. "Just eat!"

Bast chuckled. "Okay, okay. Just eat."

They began their dinner, the air between them still filled with laughter, teasing, and love.

Bast paused mid-bite, as if something suddenly crossed his mind. "Kai," he said.

Kai looked up from his plate. "What?"

"I’ve been thinking... have you noticed Miles lately? He seems off. Sad and tense."

Kai put his fork down slowly, his gaze shifting toward Bast with hesitation. "I don’t think so," he said carefully.

"Really?" Bast leaned back slightly, studying Kai’s face. "Maybe I’m just overthinking it."

Kai nodded. "Hmm... he seems happy about the wedding."

Bast hummed, unconvinced.

Bast said, "I think I need to talk to Mr. Victor about it. He must understand Ethan and Miles’s relationship."

Kai looked at Bast, his eyes narrowing slightly. Seriously? he thought. Victor—the same cheap bastard threatening Miles—and Bast still sees him as an innocent father? What the hell...

Bast noticed his silence and called gently, "Kai... what are you thinking?"

Kai quickly replied, "Nothing. Just... thinking Mr. Victor is strict. He doesn’t seem like someone who would accept their relationship. And I’m sure he’s already trying to tear them apart."

He paused, then added with a soft smile, "I’m just glad Ethan decided to marry Miles quickly."

Bast nodded. "Yeah, that’s good. But Mr. Victor... he’s not the kind of person you think. One day, he’ll understand and accept them."

Kai stared down at his plate, poking the food. "Yeah... maybe one day," he muttered. But inside, his thoughts were cold and bitter: That day will never come, Bast.

A part of him wanted to tell Bast everything, to share the truth about what Miles was going through. But he couldn’t. He was still bound by the promise Miles made him keep.

So, he stayed silent—trapped between loyalty and concern.

After their dinner, Bast leaned back and smiled. "So, was this like our little date?"

Kai looked at him and nodded. "It felt like one... a very special day for me."

Bast’s eyes softened. "For me, every day becomes special when I’m with you."

He pulled Kai into a tight hug. Kai smiled, his cheeks flushed, and kissed Bast gently. "Really? Then what about a special night?"

Bast raised an eyebrow, a playful smile forming on his lips. "You really want it that badly, huh? My little naughty kid."

Kai’s eyes locked with his. "I just want to feel every second I spend with you."

Without another word, Bast leaned in and captured Kai’s lips in a deep, passionate kiss. Kai responded instantly, wrapping his arms around Bast’s neck and kissing him back with equal hunger.

"B-Bast..." Kai gasped, pulling away for a breath. "I can’t breathe..."

Bast smirked, brushing Kai’s hair away from his flushed face. "Already out of breath? Huu..." he chuckled softly, his voice teasing.

He lifted Kai gently and carried him toward the bed—ready to make this night as unforgettable as the love they shared.

Kai lay down on the bed, his eyes still locked with Bast’s. Bast slowly took off his shirt, and Kai’s gaze instinctively traced over the lines of Bast’s toned muscles. His heart fluttered. He blinked, trying to calm himself, but his chest was rising and falling faster.

Bast leaned down gently, lowering himself onto Kai. Their bodies aligned, their closeness drawing heat between them.

"What’s wrong?" Bast whispered, brushing a strand of hair from Kai’s forehead.

"I don’t know," Kai replied softly, his voice trembling. "It’s not our first time... but I’m still nervous."

Bast smiled, his eyes full of warmth. "That’s because every time I touch you, I want it to feel different... more special. I want to give you something new every time."

Kai looked up at him, cheeks glowing red. Bast traced his fingers gently along Kai’s flushed skin, then tucked his hand under Kai’s chin to tilt his face up.

"What do you say..." Bast said with a smirk, "we take a shower together?"

Kai hesitated, then nodded shyly. "Okay."

The water ran over Kai’s glowing, pale skin, making it gleam under the soft lights. Bast’s gaze devoured every inch of him. He stepped closer, hugging Kai from behind and whispering against his damp skin, "You look even more adorable when you’re soaked."

He kissed Kai’s shoulder, then licked the water droplets before gently biting down. A soft moan escaped Kai’s lips.

Bast’s hand slid up, cupping the side of Kai’s neck as he leaned in to kiss him—slow, deep, and hungry. The sensation made Kai shiver, his breath catching with every bite.

"I know you want me," Bast whispered into Kai’s ear, voice husky and teasing. "You want me inside you... don’t you?"

Kai moaned again, body arching slightly in response. Bast pressed against him, rubbing his cock slowly between Kai’s hips, teasing him just enough to drive him crazy. Kai’s patience was wearing thin, his skin burning with need, but Bast only smirked and continued to kiss down his back—hungrily, slowly, enjoying every second of Kai’s trembling beneath his touch.

"Kai... tell me you want me," Bast murmured softly against Kai’s ear, his voice deep and intoxicating.

Kai trembled, his body already out of control as the warm water poured over their burning skin. Bast gently turned Kai’s face to him, locking eyes before capturing his lips in a passionate kiss. His tongue slid into Kai’s mouth, exploring him slowly, deeply. Their tongues touched—licking, tasting—fueling the fire between them.

Breaking the kiss for a moment, Bast whispered, "Kai... how do you feel now?"

Kai’s voice came out trembling, full of need. "It... it feels so good, Bast. I want more..."

A smile tugged at Bast’s lips. He kissed Kai again—this time, even hungrier.

Kai’s gaze drifted to Bast’s damp hair, sticking slightly to his forehead. His thoughts hazed as he kissed back, completely lost in the moment.

How does it feel this good? he wondered, To sleep with my stepdaddy..
