Sleeping With My Step Daddy-Chapter 52: "Truly Loved"
Chapter 52: "Truly Loved"
Victor sat in the dimly lit club, his face twisted in fury. Without warning, he hurled the glass of liquor at the floor, shattering it into pieces. His boys stood nearby, frozen in place.
He shouted, "Why couldn’t you catch a little kid, huh?!"
One of the men stepped forward hesitantly. "Sir, we had everything set. We waited in front of the college to kidnap him, but... someone else was already watching that kid. They pointed a gun at our heads. We had no choice but to leave. They looked too dangerous."
Victor’s eyes widened with rage. He slapped the boy hard across the face. "Get out. All of you—get out!"
The men quickly exited the room, leaving Victor alone with his boiling anger. Now, he had no choice left... he would have to surrender to Bast.

Next Day...
Miles’ call came early in the morning. Kai groaned as the ringtone pierced the quiet. He and Bast were still tangled in each other’s arms, lying peacefully in bed. Kai reached for his phone and mumbled, "Always Miles ruins my mornings..."
Bast, eyes still closed, smiled and wrapped his arm more tightly around Kai’s waist.
Kai answered the call, "Hello?"
Miles’ voice came loud and energetic. "Kai, quickly get ready! I’m coming to pick you up."
Kai sighed, "Why?"
"My wedding is next week, and we need to do shopping!"
"Miles... I need some sleep."
"Nope. Get ready. I’m coming," Miles insisted.
"Okay, okay," Kai gave in and ended the call.
Bast, eyes still closed, murmured with a smile, "Good morning."
Kai gently traced his fingers across Bast’s eyelids. "Morning."
Bast opened his eyes, his voice low and warm. "It’s like heaven to sleep in your arms... and wake up in your arms."
Kai smiled and kissed him softly.
Bast asked, "What did Miles say?"
"He wants me to go wedding dress shopping with him."
Bast nodded. "Okay."
Kai looked at him. "So... what’s your plan for today?"
Bast gave a mysterious smile. "I have only one important thing to do."
Kai frowned playfully. "What?"
Bast leaned closer. "Don’t worry... you’ll find out soon."
After some time, Miles arrived to pick Kai up. As he walked inside, he called out cheerfully, "Hello, Bast."
Bast nodded politely. "How are you doing, Miles?"
"I’m good! Where’s Kai?" Miles asked, glancing around.
Just then, Kai came down the stairs, slipping on his jacket.
Miles grinned. "Are you ready? Let’s go."
Bast spoke up, "Miles, I have a gift for you."
Miles’s eyes lit up. "Really?"
"Yes," Bast said with a smile. "But you’ll need to wait a little bit."
Miles laughed. "Okay, I’m waiting patiently for the gift."
Bast chuckled. "Good."
Kai leaned in and gave Bast a quick hug before hurrying off toward the car.
As Kai slid into the seat, Bast watched with a soft smile and murmured to himself, "This little baby always does the cutest things."
As usual, Bast and Ethan sat in the office.
Bast glanced over. "Have you talked to Mr. Victor?"
Ethan shook his head. "Dad’s not picking up my calls. I think he doesn’t want to talk to me."
"It’s okay," Bast said calmly. "I already spoke to Mr. Victor. He’s coming to meet us."
Ethan’s eyes widened. "Really?"
"Yeah, indeed." Bast gave a soft nod, though in his heart, he thought, I’m sorry, Ethan. I know the truth about your father will hurt, but you need to know it.
"I just hope he’s ready to accept our marriage and give us his blessings," Ethan said quietly.
"Don’t worry," Bast said, reassuringly. "Everything’s going to be alright now."

Meanwhile, in a luxurious boutique, Miles and Kai were seated comfortably as the staff presented the newest and most elegant wedding suits.
Miles picked up a sleek, cream-colored suit and held it up. "I think this one is beautiful."
Kai nodded. "Then go try it on."
Miles stood but hesitated. "Actually, I think something even better might be here."
Kai sighed. "Miles, why haven’t you picked one yet? I’m getting tired."
Miles smiled. "Kai, it’s my special day. I want the perfect, special, beautiful wedding suit."
Kai leaned back. "Fine, do whatever you want."
Miles laughed and continued scanning the collection, excited and determined to find the one suit that would make his big day perfect.
Victor lay on the floor of his dimly lit room, a nearly empty bottle beside him. His phone buzzed on the floor. With a heavy sigh, he glanced at the screen.
A message from Bast:
"Hello, Mr. Victor. Hope you’re well. As per our deal, today you’ll tell Ethan everything and apologize to Miles. I’ll send you the location—come to the place."
Victor clenched his jaw, throwing the phone aside in frustration. Still drunk, still broken—he had no choice but to give in.

At the restaurant...
Ethan, Bast, Miles, and Kai sat at a round table, laughing as they enjoyed lunch. The atmosphere was light, comforting.
Miles looked at Bast with a grin. "Bast, where’s my gift?"
Bast smiled. "Wait a little more. Your gift is on the way."
Ethan leaned forward. "Woo, Bast! You should give me a gift too!"
Bast chuckled. "Nope. It’s only for Miles."
Kai smiled, amused—until his eyes shifted toward the restaurant entrance. His smile slowly faded.
"Kai?" Ethan asked, noticing the change.
Kai nodded toward the door. "Mr. Victor..."
Miles’ expression froze. Bast turned his head calmly. "Hello, Mr. Victor. Please, have a seat."
Victor walked over slowly and sat across from them. His face was pale, his hands trembling slightly.
Ethan smiled faintly. "I’m happy you came, Dad."
Bast gave Victor a firm nod. "Mr. Victor, I believe you have something to say."
Victor’s jaw tightened. He looked down, then up again with difficulty.
"...Ethan," he began, voice low, "I need to tell you something."
Miles’ heart pounded in his chest. Kai looked between them with concern.
"What is it, Dad?" Ethan asked.
Victor swallowed hard. "I... I forced myself on Miles. I abused him."
Ethan’s smile disappeared. His entire body froze.
"You’re joking, right...?" he said, voice cracking.
Victor still couldn’t meet his son’s eyes. "It’s true. I abused him. I blackmailed him. I made his life hell."
He turned to Miles, who was already holding back tears. One finally escaped, rolling down his cheek as he tried not to break.
"I’m sorry, Miles," Victor said. "I did very wrong by you. Please forgive me."
The table went silent. Ethan couldn’t speak—he just stared, betrayed and speechless.
Victor stood. "I’m sorry, son. I’m not a good father."
Ethan finally stood as well, grabbing his wrist tightly.
"How could you do this, Dad?" he asked, eyes burning with disbelief and pain.
Victor didn’t answer. He just stood there, shame consuming him.
Victor’s voice was low and filled with shame as he looked at his son one last time.
"I know you haven’t forgiven me... and I promise, I won’t show my face again, Ethan."
With that, he turned and slowly walked away, his figure disappearing out the restaurant door.
Miles couldn’t hold it in any longer. Silent tears rolled down his cheeks. He tried to keep his composure, but the truth crashing down in public made it impossible. Ethan remained standing, still frozen in shock. He couldn’t believe what he had just heard from his own father.
Bast looked at Ethan, his expression serious. "It’s true, Ethan. Victor blackmailed Miles. He called him to a hotel and threatened to tell you that Miles slept with him—if Miles didn’t obey him. But... luckily, Rico found out and saved him before anything worse happened."
Ethan’s hands trembled slightly as he tried to process everything. He turned his eyes toward Miles, who was still crying silently.
Kai gently reached over and wiped the tears from Miles’ cheeks. "Don’t worry, Miles. It’s over now."
Miles stood slowly and turned to Ethan, voice cracking with guilt. "Ethan... I’m sorry... I—I—"
Before he could finish, Ethan quickly stepped forward and pulled him into a tight embrace.
"I’m sorry," Ethan whispered. "I’m sorry I didn’t protect you."
Miles broke down in his arms, sobbing hard. After carrying the weight of silence and fear for so long, it finally felt like the burden on his chest had been lifted.
Ethan gently cupped Miles’ tear-streaked face, his voice soft but firm.
"I promise, Milk. Nothing like that will ever happen to you again. I swear—I’ll always protect you."
Kai watched them, his own eyes brimming with tears. He turned to Bast and whispered, "Thank you."
Bast (softly): "Kai... don’t ever hide anything from me again. You know I’d do anything for you."
Kai nodded silently and reached for Bast’s hand, holding it tightly. Their fingers intertwined in a quiet promise.
After a long, heartfelt hug, Ethan slowly pulled back and gently wiped away Miles’ tears.
"Don’t hide things from me again, okay?"
Miles lowered his eyes. "I was scared... I thought if I told you, you’d leave me."
Ethan leaned in closer, his voice trembling with emotion.
"Leave you? How could I ever leave you? I can’t live without you, Milk. You’re my everything."
Miles bit his lip as new tears fell, but this time, they weren’t from pain—they were from the overwhelming relief of being truly loved.
