"I’m talking about Shaohua," Weiwei’s boyfriend, a dark-skinned burly man, said. Had it been before, the pretty Weiwei wouldn’t even give such a man a glance, but now she desperately needed protection, "She’s just a girl; it’s hard for me to watch her fighting zombies every day."

Initially, she thought her boyfriend would agree that Ye Shaohua was ungrateful.

Unexpectedly, her boyfriend just gave her a strange look and waved his hand dismissively, "Alright, you mind your own business."

Weiwei didn’t notice anything off about her boyfriend and went back to organizing supplies.

She even left a spot in the trunk for Ye Shaohua.

But after waiting for a long time, Ye Shaohua never came.

There were many people in the team, but only three vans.

With the supplies, it wasn’t exactly cramped, but those who originally sat in the first van had moved to the back two compartments.

None of that mattered until they saw that Ye Shaohua had taken an entire van for herself, which instantly changed Weiwei’s expression.

Everyone, including Bai Ran, was squeezed together with Qi Feng and the baby-faced ones.

Only Ye Shaohua sat in the back with ease.

"Why is she..." She bit her lip, looking at her boyfriend.

Not quite understanding.

Her boyfriend knew her insinuations very well and, though he couldn’t be bothered to explain, he worried that Weiwei, not being the sharpest tool in the shed, might provoke Ye Shaohua, so he warned, "Alright, don’t think Lady Ye is like you. Stay away from her in the future, or I will dump you straight away."

The team’s respect for Ye Shaohua grew considerably as her abilities had greatly improved.

Not to mention that Ye Shaohua had saved them and helped them, her being a strong individual alone earned their respect.

Weiwei sat on a stool, staring at the van in front of her, unable to snap back to reality for a long time.

Meanwhile, Ye Shaohua had just finished installing the last part of the computer.

She pressed the switch, powered on the computer, and started connecting to the satellite.

Half an hour later, she handed several phones to Su Ran, "These phones are now connected to the satellite system, which belongs to our Hua Country base. I checked, and they are currently using satellite phones to communicate. From now on, you guys can use these phones to talk. You can contact anyone as long as you have their contact information."

Upon hearing Ye Shaohua’s words, baby-faced, who had casually taken a phone, suddenly held it with both hands as if it were precious.

Shocked, he breathed heavily, struggling with his willpower not to fall apart.

After the apocalypse, all the signal towers were gone, leaving only the satellites in the sky as their only hope.

But satellite phones were not that easy to come by.

Most people were collecting radios, relying on radio broadcasts for news.

Su Ran and the others were aware of the existence of satellite phones, but they were too difficult to make and only the leaders had them. They were extremely rare and had never crossed their minds.

Yet unexpectedly, Ye Shaohua had brought out four satellite phones on her first try.

They divided them among themselves and tried making calls. They actually worked!

"Anyone who wants a satellite phone in the future just needs to bring me an old mobile phone," said Ye Shaohua, oblivious to the immense impact her casual gesture had on the others. She was thinking about how it would be nice to have a lab.

With that, she might analyze the source of the apocalyptic virus.

She mused aloud while speaking offhandedly.

Su Ran was so stunned his face went numb, "Miss Ye, you mean, you can make more satellite phones?"

"Mhm, just need some old phones," Ye Shaohua replied, not finding this to be a big deal, but seeing Su Ran’s expression, she narrowed her eyes, "Is it really that difficult?"

Seeing her utterly oblivious to how astonishing she was, Qi Feng rubbed his face with his hand.

"It’s more than just difficult," Su Ran managed a bitter smile, "Not to mention how hard it is to control satellites these days, many machines broke down before the apocalypse. Having a complete satellite system is nearly impossible now, let alone mass-producing satellite phones. Just yesterday, the broadcast said that they only produced two hundred satellite phones because of the huge expense, and they’ve stopped production."

The country had so many people, and even though many had become zombies,

there were still hundreds of millions left. Hundreds of millions of people, and only two hundred satellite phones...

Without a special opportunity, an average person might never even dream of having a satellite phone in their lifetime.

And look at Ye Shaohua casually saying, with just some old mobile phones, she could make a satellite phone in minutes!

Setting aside her multitude of skills, even just for these satellite phones, those newly established safe bases would scramble to get Ye Shaohua.

Ye Shaohua looked at their excited eyes with an utterly calm face.

I haven’t even created my mecha? And this is what gets you excited?

Out of the four satellite phones, except for Su Ran and the others, one was given to Weiwei’s boyfriend.

The others looked at these four with envy, jealousy, and resentment, knowing that Ye Shaohua could make more miniature phones, they didn’t go out to find food first but instead dashed to gather parts.

During an encounter with a Level 3 zombie, Ye Shaohua killed it using her Earth Attribute superpower and threw the crystal core to Weiwei’s boyfriend.

The ordinary people also realized how formidable Ye Shaohua was.

While fighting zombies, Su Ran and the others were more determined, knowing that if they truly faced mortal danger, Ye Shaohua would come to their rescue.

She was their strongest shield.

"There’s another message from Imperial City about the levels of zombies and training methods for superpower users," seeing the small information website set up by Imperial City, Qi Feng chuckled, "It’s said that three people discovered it, and many forces have invited them. It must be Ye Xiangxiang and her group. I heard they’ve reached Level 2 superpower, which has shocked everyone. They also seem to know some sort of healing drugs."

Baby-faced and his group listened without a hint of envy but merely chuckled, "We’ve got Miss Ye, that’s enough for us."

What’s Level 2 superpower to them? Their team is full of Level 2 superpower users now!

Thinking this, they enviously looked at Weiwei’s boyfriend. They had finally encountered a Level 3 zombie, and it was an Earth Attribute one at that.

Weiwei’s boyfriend immediately took the Level 3 crystal core and went off to absorb it.

"Those three friends of Ye Xiangxiang are really sly," Qi Feng commented, then spat out, "Back then, she said she liked zombie crystal cores and had us collect them for her, sending us on a fool’s errand without a word of thanks."

Hearing about Ye Xiangxiang and her group, baby-faced wasn’t too pleased.

"But we still should thank those three," Su Ran smiled, glancing at Ye Shaohua, "Otherwise, how could we have possibly found Miss Ye?"

Hearing Su Ran’s words, Qi Feng’s face reddened, "Team Leader, thank you for not listening to me back then and not driving Miss Ye out of the team."

Su Ran sighed as well.

Just then, as baby-faced was fiddling with Ye Shaohua’s computer, his eyes suddenly widened in excitement and he said, "Team Leader, I found Boss Sui Yun!"
