Chapter 116: Where the hell is Blood God?

Damon once again found himself in the familiar, scorched halls of the Flame Lord dungeon. The oppressive heat pressed against his skin like a weighted blanket, but it no longer bothered him.

"Fuck, this is so convenient," he muttered, grinning despite himself. He raised his wrist and examined the pulsing tattoo, the strange green-black sigil etched into his skin. It was like a swirl, and if he stared at it closely, it seemed as if it had no end.

He clicked his tongue. "If I had this in my last life." He picked up the remaining loot from the ground and tossed it into his inventory. The only notable drop was a snakeskin shirt that boosted his fire resistance, and he quickly donned it under his armor.

Now that everything was taken care of, he opened his system notifications. There was a whole bunch of notifications waiting for him. He selected ’yes’ for everything, and finally, the system-wide announcements started rolling in one after the other.

Damon whistled low as he equipped the bracers, flexing his fingers as the red-gold weave of flame runes etched themselves into his forearms. "Now we’re talking..."

With this, his fire resistance was stacking high. Combined with [Ashwalker of the Flame Lords], the snakeskin shirt, and the gear he was already wearing, he could walk through lava and barely get singed. He almost got the whole set.

Though this set would probably become useless by the time he gains 5 more levels, it was going to be very useful for the next run.

Damon then quickly took the main item he was most curious about. The key fragment to the Golden throne. The first time, he had no clue what it was, but this time around, the system had given him more clues. It looked like he had to gather one more of these to truly figure out what this whole thing was.

Damon then looked at the last notification.

[Ding! Do you wish to make your dungeon record public?]

[Yes/ No]

Damon grinned. "Yes, of course."

Meanwhile, outside the ’Temple of Flame Lords’ dungeon, the two hundred players who were waiting patiently for several hours now were finally starting to get a little impatient.

"Boss Thorne, it doesn’t look like they are going to come out any time soon? How long do we have to continue waiting?"

Thorne snapped to turn and glare at the idiot. "So, all he has to do to escape from our grand plan is to simply log in a couple of hours late? What are you talking about? You foolish idiot. Get lost if you want to and get the fuck out of the guild."

The guy immediately became pale and stepped back with his hands raised. "S-Sorry Boss Thorne. I didn’t mean anything by it! I’ll keep quiet." The guy quited down and went to the back of the crowd to make sure he didn’t piss off the big boss again.

This blood god was completely ruining their lives! While other guilds were working hard to make progress, they were stuck here waiting for him without any end in sight. What kind of bullshit badluck is this?!

If anyone spotted the damned Blood God, badluck instantly follows!

Thorne snorted, his heavy armored shoulder plates clinking as he turned back toward the smoldering dungeon entrance. His jaw worked side to side, grinding his teeth in frustration. The Temple of Flame Lords was supposed to be their trap.

But this guy simply did not bother to log in! How could he take such an approach? Wasn’t he afraid of lagging behind in the game?

Every second they were waiting here idly, they were losing dozens of gold coins! Just like the others, Thorne was also equally impatient and anxious. He was the one suffering the most loss after all.

But even in this condition, there was still a silver lining. Because once Blood God finally shows his face here, there was no way he was getting out of here alive. Their new friend saw to that.

"Patience. Patience. He will come here. He has to come here. When he comes, that legendary item will be ours. Then this much wasted time would mean nothing. With a legendary weapon in hand, we can overtake everyone else in the blink of an eye!"

Thorne’s words boosted everyone’s morale, and the group once again started waiting patiently. To prevent others from discovering and taking advantage of their secret, they even made a whole drama about farming for beasts in the area, and Azure Serpents taking control of the dungeon and the surrounding areas.

Only the guild members knew the truth, and every single one of them was waiting for their prey calmly.

The next second, all the guild members, including the vice-guild leader Thorne, stared in shock as a new system-wide notification flashed in front of them.
