Chapter 3563: Seeking Help

Shi Lin’s face twitched. This man was actually able to endure his consciousness attack. Clearly, he was not as strong as a mere sequence powerhouse. While Shi Lin could not be touched by the laws of the universe, the man before him was simply not even using sequence particles at all.

Was this the caliber of the experts who belonged to the Grandverse Manor? Could any one of them fight against Shi Lin on equal footing? He was supposed to be the most powerful consciousness cultivator in the entire Spirit Nidus.

A cold light glinted in Shi Lin’s eyes. No matter how wary he might be of Seraph Lu, it was impossible to avoid the current battle.

Progenitor Xi did not get involved. Instead, she was focused on a specific corner of the Consciousness Domain.

At the same time, Old Tao had finally returned to the Roaming South Realm.

While the Phantom Reach had been virtually annihilated, Qianmen Feidu still lived, which meant that the Phantom Reach still existed.

Old Tao looked at the Phantom Reach’s headquarters. "I am here at the order of Seraph Lu to gather resources. Don’t hold back. Just hand over a few trillion spirit seeds so that I am able to return with something. After all, we’re all on the same side."

Countless resentful eyes locked onto Old Tao from within the headquarters. Traitor!

Ce Wangtian had not yet entered the Heavencraft Domain, as he had been stopped at the entrance.

"Go back. Do you think that just anyone is allowed to enter the Heavencraft Domain?" A man stood outside the entrance to the domain and gave Ce Wangtian a contemptuous glance. "Forget about a sequence powerhouse—even if an Ortuser arrived, they would still need to first send word."

Ce Wangtian chuckled. Perched on his shoulder, Astral Anura’s eyes flared. Was this guy really so brave? Did he actually have the courage to offend the Grandverse Manor after all that had happened?

"Then go ahead and announce that Ce Wangtian of the Grandverse Manor is here to pay a visit."

The man sneered. "You want to threaten me with the Grandverse Manor? Let me tell you something—the Heavencraft Domain is not ruled by any Seraph! We take our orders directly from the Ascendant Hall. As for your Grandverse Manor? None of you are welcome here."

Ce Wangtian nodded. "Understood."

"Then get lost."

"Brat, have you ever eaten boogers?"

"What? Ugh!"

"I am Ce Wangtian! I am carrying out Seraph Lu's order to gather resources! The Heavencraft Domain is to turn over 100 trillion spirit seeds, or else I'll tear this place apart here and now!" Ce Wangtian slapped his slipper down violently, the impact shaking the entire Heavencraft Domain.

Deep within the domain, a chubby figure trembled in fear. The Grandverse Manor?

"Who dares to behave so recklessly?" A furious voice echoed out as spirit threads shot through outer space, straight for Ce Wangtian.

He slapped his slipper down onto the ground of the Heavencraft Domain again, shaking the entire domain. The ground broke apart, and the cracks spread far into the distance. At that moment, the spirit threads landed, each one as sharp as a blade. Ce Wangtian clenched his slipper and swung it sideways.

There was a loud smack, and the spirit threads bent, but not without leaving a deep mark on the slipper.

Ce Wangtian's eyes went wide. He was facing an Ortuser.

Countless eyes in the Heavencraft Domain turned to look in Ce Wangtian’s direction. An old man rose high into space, spirit threads dancing about him. A cold, vicious light radiated from his eyes. "The Grandverse Manor dares to act so brazenly in my Heavencraft Domain?"

Ce Wangtian sneered. "Old man, have you heard nothing from the outside world?"

"I know that the Grandverse Manor is not to be trifled with, but my Heavencraft Domain fears nothing. Begone!" The elder sent a vast number of spirit threads flying towards Ce Wangtian. Each thread was a powerful attack on its own, and Ce Wangtian grew wary. It was at this moment that he understood why Lu Yin had sent Astral Anura along.

"Your turn."

The toad rolled his eyes as he leaped into the air. His golden body changed to take on a multicolored hue. He held his steel fork as a necklace of skulls appeared around his neck, and he screamed, "Ah! Old man, away with you!"

The steel fork stabbed into the countless spirit threads. The fork twisted wildly, coiling the threads around the tines before he yanked on them hard.

The old man was nearly pulled over, and he looked shaken by the exchange. "A Dukkhan? A beast-form Spirit Rebirth?"

"Ancestor, that’s the toad that follows Seraph Lu!" someone called out.

The old man was instantly put on edge. He remembered that, when Seraph Lu had roamed about the Spirit Nidus, he had been accompanied by three astral beasts. Two had carried the sedan, while one had sat on his shoulder. This toad had been that beast.

It was rumored that the toad had killed a powerful expert from the Primal Beastland who had once competed for the title of Seraph. That powerhouse had been a Dukkhan.

“All who belong to the Heavencraft Domain, Spirit Threads Rule the World!”

“Yes, Ancestor!” Countless voices rang out, and streams of spirit threads rose into space from every part of the Heavencraft Domain. They moved together to form a sphere that grew larger and larger. The sphere moved to drive Astral Anura and Ce Wangtian away from the Heavencraft Domain.

Astral Anura clenched his steel fork, and fiercely thrust it forward, only for it to fail to pierce the spirit threads.

A chessboard spread out from Ce Wangtian, and everything became pieces on his astral chessboard. Those pieces constantly were thrown at the spirit threads, only to be forced back. The Progenitor was pushed back, step by step. Were all of their efforts for nothing?

The Heavencraft Domain produced the spirit threads that connected the thirty-six domains of the Spirit Nidus. One could only imagine just how many spirit threads were in the domain.

The thirty-six domains had been connected long, long ago. At present, no one knew just how many spirit threads were in the Heavencraft Domain. It was because of those spirit threads that the Heavencraft Domain feared nothing and no one and why they were even willing to directly confront a Seraph. They were confident in their abilities, and there was a reason one of the Seven Seraphs had ever dared to attack the Heavencraft Domain.

The old man watched on with cold eyes as Ce Wangtian and Astral Anura were forced back. “Go back and tell that Seraph Lu of yours that, while I can’t be bothered with his mischief, he cannot provoke my Heavencraft Domain. Leave!”

Ce Wangtian and Astral Anura had been forced away, and after retreating, they exchanged glances.

“You’re utterly useless!”

“You worthless piece of trash!”

They both spoke at nearly the same time while glaring fiercely at each other.

“What are we supposed to do? We can’t go back like this.”

“That would be humiliating.”

“Absolutely not.”

“Let’s find some help.”

“Who should we approach?”

“I know someone who should be able to beat up the Heavencraft Domain.”

"You have acquaintances in the Spirit Nidus?"

"I don't, but that guy mentioned that I look familiar, so I kept something hidden up my sleeve, hehe. Right now, no one in the entire Spirit Nidus can find him, but I can. Let's go. Right, don’t say anything about this to that Lu Yin brat. He’ll also go after that guy, so we can’t let him find the guy."

"Why not?"

"Those two have had a bit of a disagreement..."

"You aren’t betraying the Tianyuan Megaverse, are you?"

"Don’t be ridiculous. Just tell me if you're in or not."

"In."

Soon, a man and an astral beast disappeared. Within the Heavencraft Domain, the old man let out a snort of disdain before returning to where he had been.

"Ancestor, are you alright? Didn’t we go too far in humiliating the Grandverse Manor?"

"What do we need to fear? Our Heavencraft Domain is protected by endless spirit threads. Not even a Seraph can break past them."

The elder glared. "Shut up! Is that something that you have the right to say? Who told you that a Seraph can't break through?"

Everyone immediately fell silent.

The old man’s expression turned grave. "We just sent his underlings scurrying back in disgrace. Seraph Lu has not been directly humiliated, as he did not personally come to my Heavencraft Domain. No matter what you might think, he is still a Seraph. If he shows up, we will call upon the High Seraph. Our Heavencraft Domain is not a place where the Grandverse Manor can cause trouble.

"Starting today, the Heavencraft Domain will be sealed off until the Day of Offering. Only then will it reopen!"

"We hear and obey the ancestor's decree." ƒrēenovelkiss.com

""We hear and obey the ancestor's decree..."

Chu Yi arrived above the Umbral Deep. As he looked down, it seemed as though he could see the battle that Lu Yin had once fought there.

"This was the battle that made Lu Yin famous and allowed him to become a Seraph without contest. Who knows when the battle that will allow the Tianyuan Megaverse to finally feel safe will be fought."

The man soon crossed over the Umbral Deep, arriving at the border of the Wisdom Domain. With Chu Yi’s personality, even if he loathed a person, he would still behave with a certain level of decorum. However, he had been sent out after being entrusted with a second task by Lu Yin. With no other option, Chu Yi passed into the Wisdom Domain unannounced and proceeded into the depths of the domain.

All who entered the Wisdom Domain were required to announce themselves and receive permission. While the Wisdom Domain appeared to lack defensive measures, many experts were aware that the domain contained a hidden spirit treasure formation.

Chu Yi’s second task from Lu Yin was to find and break that spirit treasure formation: Codex 15.

Lu Yin had not forgotten about the spirit treasure formation. After all, the name was too similar to the Codex 16 that he had encountered when attacking the Phantom Reach, and that had to indicate a connection of some sort.

Lu Yin was very curious to learn if the sourcebox arrays were named according to a series. If that was true, it would be utterly terrifying.

Chu Yi cautiously entered the Wisdom Domain and proceeded slowly. However, even when he reached the reed marsh that Lu Yin and Old Yu had once floated through aboard a small boat, the spirit treasure formation still did not trigger.

"Are you from the Grandverse Manor?" a weathered voice called out.

Chu Yi looked over and saw a small boat emerging from the reeds. Old Yu was sitting upon it.

"Indeed."

"Judging by your expression, time has not been kind to you. Both you and I are old now, and yet we still have to work for the young," Old Yu said with a smile. He motioned to Chu Yi, inviting him onto the boat.

Chu Yi smiled. "I’m just an old bag of bones. If I can pave a path for the youth, then it is worth the effort."

With that, he stepped aboard the small boat and took a seat across from Old Yu.

Both of the men had both lived for far too long.

Chu Yi had lived since the days of the ancient Heavens Sect, and while that did not correspond to the oldest period of the Spirit Nidus, Old Yu was also not the oldest powerhouse in the Wisdom Domain.

Given how long the two men had lived, neither felt any need to dwell on just how old they were in respect to each other; they were simply two old men.

Old Yu reached forward and personally poured some wine for Chu Yi. "I consider myself fairly adept at reading people; you should be more than just a mere Ortuser."

Chu Yi replied, "What is the difference between the Origin Realm and overcoming Dukkha? Both are nothing more than hurdles in life."

"Only by overcoming Dukkha can a person qualify to enter the Immortal realm. Does that not entice you?"

"To say that I’m not moved would be a lie, but isn’t Immortality only reachable after overcoming Dukkha?" Chu Yi retorted.

Old Yu paused and then set down his wine cup. He gave Chu Yi a look of admiration. "I am thrice blessed to meet with you today. Might I ask to chat with you for three days before we address any necessary formalities?"

Chu Yi smiled. "It would be my great honor."

Every region of the Spirit Nidus started to boil over due to the Grandverse Manor’s actions. Complaints ran rife, and countless people reached out to the Seraphs and the Ascendant Hall, yet none received any replies.

The High Seraph said nothing. At the moment, of the Seven Seraphs, Emperor Wu and Jiu Xian were both still en route from the Consciousness Megaverse. Zhan Ming's stance remained unclear, and Yuan Qi belonged to the Grandverse Manor. As for Su Shidao, Lu Yin had personally given the man his title as Seraph. Who would dare to go against Lu Yin at this moment?

Unless the High Seraph stepped forward, no one could stop Lu Yin.

However, would the High Seraph intervene because of such matters? In the past, the Grandverse Manor had violated multiple rules and repeatedly gone against the Ascendant Hall. Despite that, the High Seraph had never uttered a single word in protest.

Many people saw this situation as the High Seraph establishing Lu Yin and those with him as an emblem to attract the top experts from both the Tianyuan and Consciousness Megaverses. While the emblem might be rather arrogant, nothing had yet warranted the High Seraph overturning things himself.

While some had already guessed at Lu Yin's intentions, all that could be said was that his goal was less than a joke.

The idea of limiting the Spirit Nidus’s future potential by collecting and destroying spirit seeds was completely unrealistic.

After all, any time a spirit seed was destroyed, it would eventually reappear. Even if the gathered spirit seeds were not destroyed, if the day came when the Spirit Nidus’s potential was actually jeopardized, the High Seraph would certainly step in.

This was why Lu Yin’s efforts were seen as simply laughable. At best, they were the struggles of the weak.

From up above Boundless, Lu Yin continued to watch as Yu Shan relived his time of learning the Nine Heavens Transformation, again and again. The reactions of the outside world had already been anticipated, and Lu Yin simply did not care.

In the Consciousness Domain, Sovereign Dou Sheng recklessly unleashed his power. His golden cudgel slammed down upon Shi Lin repeatedly. The man’s suffering was indescribable.

His consciousness attacks continued to cause Sovereign Dou Sheng to cough up blood. The man continuously fought through waves of dizziness, but Sovereign Dou Sheng was someone who only grew bolder with each exchange. As long as he was not instantly defeated, Dou Sheng would gradually grow accustomed to whatever he faced, such as an onslaught of consciousness attacks. With Triumphant Brawl and Extremes Must Be Reversed both active, Shi Lin could not help but feel like he could not continue.
