Chapter 3572: Derived Through Deduction

When Lu Yin returned to Boundless, the first person he saw was the Origin Progenitor.

"Senior, you've ended your seclusion?"

The Origin Progenitor looked over and nodded. "I had to come out and take a look at such a big commotion."

As the Ortusers recited the Everstone Discourse, people throughout all thirty-six domains grew excited after being struck by inspiration or enlightenment, and the same was occurring aboard Boundless.

Lu Tianyi’s breathing started to fluctuate as he drew closer to a breakthrough. Similarly, Ce Wangtian’s breathing also began to change.

The Origin Progenitor sighed. "We’re one step behind, always one step behind.

"The Spirit Nidus unified their cultivation system and their resource distribution long ago, which cleared their path for future developments. On top of that, their powerhouses are willing to sacrifice themselves for the benefit of future generations, like with these Everstone Discourse. It’s no wonder that our Tianyuan Megaverse lags so far behind them."

Lu Yin comforted the old man. "That’s just because humanity appeared in the Tianyuan Megaverse later on. If we had appeared a bit sooner, the Spirit Nidus would have been the ones to lag behind. No matter how you look at things, the future potential of our megaverse will always surpass the Spirit Nidus’s."

"Who determines the future potential?" the Origin Progenitor suddenly asked.

Lu Yin was taken aback, but he had no response.

It was a fair question; who did determine the future potential? Similarly, who had named the Tianyuan Megaverse?

The Origin Progenitor looked at Lu Yin. "What we refer to as future potential is nothing more than a beautiful fantasy. If only we had time. If only we could have cultivated in peace. If only... it's all nothing but ifs. If everything went as we hoped, we would undoubtedly surpass the Spirit Nidus and become the strongest of the three megaverses. Unfortunately, using the word ‘if’ is wrong from the very start."

Lu Yin’s expression grew heavy. "Without those 'ifs,' how can we even speak about the future?"

The Origin Progenitor stared at Lu Yin for a moment, and then he smiled. "Pillar, only you are fit to lead the Tianyuan Megaverse."

Lu Yin shook his head. "Just don’t call me Pillar."

"Haha, are you finally going to accept being called Scruffy?"

"Let's stick with Pillar. It’s a bit easier on the ears."

"Don’t get hung up on names. However, speaking of names, that High Seraph guy really has no taste in naming. Nine Heavens Transformation? What an ugly name! Come, let's study it again." The Origin Progenitor was very enthusiastic. He had emerged from seclusion for two reasons. The first was the Everstone Discourse, but the second was to examine the Nine Heavens Transformation.

Lu Yin had previously shared his insights into the technique with the Origin Progenitor, who had been in seclusion. He had asked the old man to study the technique, and it seemed that the Origin Progenitor had realized something.

Honestly, what’s so bad about the name ‘Nine Heavens Transformation?’ Lu Yin glanced over at the Origin Progenitor, wondering what sort of name he would have given the technique.

An Ortuser finished their recitation, and another stepped forward. After the fourth Ortuser had passed away, sacrificing themselves to the Everstone Discourse, some changes could be seen taking place across Boundless.

Ce Wangtian suddenly attacked. He used a slipper to lash out, ripping the universe apart to expose the True Void. He breathed in the True Void, taking his first step into the Origin Realm.

After that, Lu Tianyi was the next to sense his breakthrough past the Sequence Progenitor level, and he also exposed the True Void, starting his rise to the Origin realm as well.

Seeing the two men becoming Ortusers lifted Lu Yin’s spirits.

They were also not the end, as Luo Shan also started his Ortuser breakthrough, much to Lu Yin’s surprise.

It should not have been surprising. Luo Shan was a truly ancient powerhouse, nearly old enough to have lived during the ancient Heavens Sect era. After all, Lord Xu had been friends with Wu Tian, and Luo Shan was not that much younger than them.

Of those breaking through, Ce Wangtian was the oldest, followed by Lu Tianyi, with Luo Shan being the youngest. Their successive breakthroughs to the Origin realm were not unusual.

Luckily, Lu Yin had shrouded the Hundred Grasses Domain before the breakthroughs had started. If they were sensed, the Spirit Nidus would have been completely shaken.

People throughout the thirty-six domains of the Spirit Nidus were also experiencing breakthroughs to the Origin realm, though it was unclear just how many were taking place. News of those breakthroughs did not spread. Still, regardless of what happened, there was no way there was anything as shocking as Boundless witnessing three simultaneous Origin realm breakthroughs.

Ultimately, four Ortusers recited the Everstone Discourse. Next, it would be the Dukkhans’ turn.

Everstone slowly started to revolve.

According to precedence, only one Ortuser and one Dukkhan would normally sacrifice themselves to the Everstone Discourse.

At present, several times more experts were participating, and since four Ortusers had appeared, it seemed possible for two or more Dukkhans to participate.

Countless people eagerly waited, wondering which old monsters had managed to survive.

Some families and sects grew anxious, wondering if their ancestors might still be alive.

In the Wisdom Domain, Old Yu stared at Everstone, seemingly in a daze as he quietly waited. No rush, no rush.

All thirty-six domains were also waiting.

Boundless was waiting.

Lu Yin and the Origin Progenitor started to work together to examine the Nine Heavens Transformation. At times, Yu Shan would be imprisoned in the Champions' Stage Purgatory, reliving the cycle of karma so that they could study the Nine Heavens Transformation more carefully. Soon, ten days had passed.

No Dukkhan had appeared, but Everstone also had not been removed. The Everstone Discourse was not over.

Cultivators throughout the Spirit Nidus did not feel any rush. There had been similar delays in the past. Some ancient powerhouses needed to finalize their affairs before dying during the recitation, or they might need to organize their insights to maximize the number of people who could benefit from their insights and experiences.

The longest wait had occurred after Meng Sang had become a Seraph. The Everstone Discourse had taken two years to finish, most of which had been spent waiting for the Dukkhan to begin.

Two years was not considered a long time for cultivators.

Another half a month passed, and Yu Shan felt as if his life had become worse than death. More and more, he regretted using Boundless to survive. The people from the Tianyuan Megaverse were even more terrifying than the High Seraph. They had actually come up with such a twisted method to study the Nine Heavens Transformation.

It was likely that not even the High Seraph had ever imagined that they would use such a method.

A full month later, the Origin Progenitor and Lu Yin exchanged surprised looks. "We’ve finally figured it out by working together. It’s no wonder why this Nine Heavens Transformation is the High Seraph’s ultimate skill."

Lu Yin was amazed. He and the Origin Progenitor together represented the Tianyuan Megaverse’s greatest power. One had the megaverse’s most comprehensive cultivation, having dabbled in just about everything, while the other had cultivated for the longest time and had gathered the most experience. Together, they were capable of almost instantly deducing virtually any battle technique. Despite that, they had spent a considerable amount of time studying the Nine Heavens Transformation, and they had even been forced to use karma to let Yu Shan repeatedly experience his moments of cultivating the technique.

Without karma, not even the two men’s combined efforts would have been enough for them to understand the Nine Heavens Transformation.

"Now, there's just one step left," the Origin Progenitor commented.

Lu Yin’s eyes flickered. "Splitting apart the Nine Heavens."

"There’s no one who can open the Nine Heavens for us. We need to do it for ourselves."

Yu Shan was stunned. "You... can you really split the Nine Heavens by yourselves?"

Lu Yin looked at him, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Given our strength, not even the High Seraph can do it for us. One needs to start training this battle technique from when they are weak, or else a person will need to figure out how to open the Nine Heavens on their own. Thank you, Yu Shan."

Yu Shan had no idea how to respond. The Nine Heavens Transformation was a battle technique known to only the High Seraph and Yu Shan. Not a single other person in the entire Spirit Nidus knew the technique, but in a short amount of time, two people had figured out how to train in the technique.

Wait. Yu Shan glanced across Boundless. It’s not just two... All of these people might eventually learn it as well.

Yu Shan was quite accurate, as this was the same thought that had occurred to both Lu Yin and the Origin Progenitor.

Once they truly mastered the Nine Heavens Transformation, they would teach others how to use it. The battle technique was simply too powerful to ignore.

Lu Yin also had another thought. Since only the High Seraph knows the Nine Heavens Transformation, what if...?

Soon, in the Wisdom Domain, Old Yu opened his eyes and peered upwards. Three figures appeared just below Everstone. Finally, they have arrived.

The three people were all Dukkhans, and they had appeared together to recite the Everstone Discourse.

Seeing the three might as well have kicked up a storm that swept across the entire Spirit Nidus, shocking everyone.

"Three... three Dukkhans?"

"How is that possible? Are there really three of them?"

"Am I seeing things right? This has never happened before."

...

No one had even imagined that three Dukkhans would appear together. They approached Everstone and sat down to form a triangle. They then raised their hands and touched their palms together before starting to slowly turn.

Old Yu's expression turned grim. He took a step forward, moving closer to Everstone as he stared at the three Dukkhans beneath the sequence base as their palms met.

The old man let out a long breath, raised a hand, and struck Everstone. "First, I send off Gu Changsheng, who pursued eternal life, contemplating Spirit Transformation at the threshold of the Immortal Realm.

"Second, I send off Pavilion Master Xuan Shan, the man whose name is known throughout the megaverse.

"Third, I send off the one beneath the chessboard, where the lotus blooms, burying beauty before Everstone’s path.

"I, Old Yu, respectfully send off..."

...

The thirty-six domains fell silent as everyone stared into the distance, their minds in chaos.

On Boundless, Old Tao was on his feet, badly shaken. "Those three? Really?"

Lu Yin grew confused. "Are they famous?"

Old Tao took a deep breath that he let out slowly. "Throughout the history of the Spirit Nidus, the undisputed, most powerful individual is the High Seraph, who stands at the peak. Beneath him are the Seven Seraphs, each of whom is a peerless expert. They rely on their incredible power to rule over the Spirit Nidus, which is what makes it so difficult for anyone to surpass them.

"However, there are always some who, after experiencing certain things, will reach the same level of power or influence as the High Seraph and the Seven Seraphs. Those three did just that."

Yuan Qi’s voice rang out. "Gu Changsheng became famous for pursuing Immortality. He became practically obsessed with reaching that realm. He once claimed that, if it would allow him to become an Immortal, there was no reason not to reset the Spirit Nidus. He is the most infamous eight-spirit criminal in history, due to his cruelty and malice. Compared to Emperor Slayer, that man has committed evil deeds throughout his entire life. As long as he was active, everyone wanted him dead. He brought about an era of darkness, due to the endless slaughter that he committed.

"He was still around when I left for the Tianyuan Megaverse. However, there has been no news of him since then. I looked into it and learned that he was long since relegated to being considered a part of history. The crimes that he committed ensured that he will never be forgotten by the megaverse. I never considered that he could still be alive, let alone agree to sacrifice himself for the Spirit Nidus by participating in the Everstone Discourse."

Lu Yin's gaze deepened. Had this man laid down his butcher's blade?

Old Tao spoke, "Pavilion Master Xuan Shan is known for always carrying the Xuan Diagram, a text that he used to guide and teach countless cultivators. He remains one of the most respected figures in the Spirit Nidus, revered for his wisdom and mentorship. Anyone who encounters him gains invaluable insight.

He is a Dukkhan who has nurtured not just multiple sequence powerhouses, but even Ortusers. There are even rumors that Bao Qi once received his guidance."

"People have created statues of him, praising him. Many wish to meet him and receive his guidance and insight. He is considered a half-master in the hearts of countless people."

Palace Master Yao chimed in, "The phrase 'Lotus blooms beneath the chessboard' refers to the amazing, unparalleled Yi Shennu. Currently, Qing Yun and I are known as the Ascendant Hall Absolute Duo, but in an earlier era, Yi Shennu was unmatched in the entire megaverse. No woman was able to compare to her.

"Not only was she beautiful, but she was also skilled at playing Spirit Chess, as she was a Spirit Treasure Grandmaster who rivaled Su Shidao. Her innate gift caused lotus flowers to bloom wherever she passed. She stunned several generations throughout her life.

"I didn’t think that she was still alive. There have long been rumors of her death."

Lu Yin stared off into the distance. Three old monsters had appeared together, and each was incredibly famous. Clearly, the Wisdom Domain must have paid a steep price.

Everyone in the thirty-six domains who heard the titles of the three Dukkhans were stunned by what they heard, unable to react.

These three Dukkhans were so famous that everyone had heard of them, regardless of their age or cultivation level. Even ordinary humans had heard of these three’s names before. They were figures whose fame transcended time.

Both famous and infamous, their appearance acted like a bright moon illuminating the midnight sky. It was impossible to ignore them.
