Chapter 1041: BONUS ChapterS: IN HER LIFE

Iris felt the kiss on her cheek again, but this time she knew who was kissing her and she smiled even though she had not yet opened her eyes.

She even lifted her chin, silently asking for more and he gave it to her. He always gave everything to her, even without her asking him.

And this time when the kiss landed on the tip of her nose and then down to her lips, she woke up.

"I have cooked breakfast for you," he said against her lips, which made Iris smiled and opened her eyes lazily.

"I can smell it, but I am too lazy to wake up."

Cane chuckled, he cuddled with her. "Sure enough, you must feel tired because you carry the babies inside you."

Iris opened her eyes and then smile at him. She caressed her bulging stomach and the babies inside kicked in as if telling their mother, they were awake too.

"I have a beautiful dream." Iris relished the kiss on her forehead.

"Tell me what beautiful dreams you had. I am sure I must be in it."

"You are so confidence."

"Am I not?"

Iris squeezed his body. He felt so warm and his scent was her favorite. "Yeah, you were there. What a beautiful dream without you there?"

Cane laughed when he heard that. "And then what dream was that"

"I am not sure. I can’t remember, I only felt very happy. I felt like I have met people that dear to me, as if I have met old friends that I had not seen for a long time. I can’t remember exactly what it was, which is a pity, but I remember the feeling from that moment. I was so happy. I am so happy. I can still feel it even now."

"I hope you will have the dream often. You look so beautiful when you are happy."

Iris lifted her head and look at Cane. "I don’t need that dream to make me happy. I have you and you always make me happy."

She kissed him and they fooled around for a bit until Iris’s stomach growled and they had to stop since the babies need to eat.

"We need to stop. I have to feed my girls." Cane was panting and then nibbled on her earlobe, which made Iris squirmed. "And my wife..."

With that, Cane took their breakfast to bed and Iris devoured the whole thing that Cane had cooked for her. Ever since she was pregnant, Cane would pamper her to the point she couldn’t do anything. She was afraid how protective Cane would be to their baby girls.

"Our families will come this evening to have barbecue," Cane reminded Iris when she said she wanted to go out to shop for their babies’ clothes. She didn’t need to do it, because they had a lot, but Iris loved to do it and Cane loved to see her happy, so he didn’t protest. "I will cook for them. Do you want something to eat?"

"I love whatever you cook. I will even eat bland pasta for you."

"I will never give you bland pasta, Iris, and you know that."

With that, they spent the whole afternoon by making side dishes and preparing the barbecue for their family.

Actually, they didn’t need to be bothered, since their family came early to help. They arrived four hours before dinner to help them with the preparation.

"Oh, you look so beautiful, Iris," Cane’s mother said, as she hugged Iris and kissed both of her cheeks.

"Thank you, mother." Iris kissed her too and then went to her mother to hug her.

"I miss you my baby girl."

"I am not a baby anymore," Iris chuckled. "I am going to have a baby on my own, mother."

"You are always our baby." Her father came and hugged her too.

Iris was so happy because in this lifetime she had two pairs of loving parents. Cane’s parents adored her as well and Cane would tease her that his parents loved her more than they loved him.

Not to mention Cane’s twin sibling. They were very excited about the babies.

"Cane, you shouldn’t have let her stand. She is heavily pregnant. How could you do that?"

"Mom, Cane didn’t allow me to get off the bed. It’s me who wanted to help." Iris came to her husband defense.

"No, no, no, no. You cannot be in the kitchen. Come here. Come here and sit next to me." Cane’s mother escorted Iris to the living room where the siblings were playing board games.

They looked so happy to see Iris and asked her to join.

Meanwhile, the mothers were helping with the side dishes and the fathers prepared the barbecue set. Cane and Iris’s father would have argumentation here and there and Cane should be there to play the middle men and stopped them from continuing with the argumentation instead of working.

This family was always be Iris’s dream, something that she always wanted, but this time this was not only a dream. This was so real. This was her family now, a big family.

And in the evening, when the sky had turned dark and the stars appeared, while the pale moonlight shone above them, they were having a good time, Cane was in charge to grill the meat and his siblings were bickering like usual while the mother paid attention to Iris, not too far, the fathers were bragging about how many fishes they got in their last fishing trips.

Occasionally, Iris would find Cane staring at her and both of them smile. He always muttered ’I love you’ and no matter how million times Cane said it, it always made her heart beating fast as if she heard it for the first time.

But suddenly there was this sharp pain on Iris’s lower abdomen, which made her hug her stomach instinctively.

"What is it? What happened?"

It was Iris’s mother who noticed that first and the men were on alert.

"I am not sure," Iris said. "But, I think the baby is here."

"The baby is here!" the twins said almost at the same time and the men were speechless, before Iris’s father started to panic.

"What should we do? What should we do? We need to go to the hospital. Right. Let’s go. Let’s go!" He immediately came to his daughter. "Oh, my God, the baby is here. Babies are here. Come on. Come on, you don’t want to give birth in your backyard with the smell of meat in the air."

"Dad, don’t worry, we will still have time." Iris reassured her father.

"Don’t be panic." Iris’s mother glared at her husband.

"I am not panic. I am calm. I got this." He then looked at Iris again. "Should you change your dress? You don’t want to go to the hospital with the smell of beef, right?"

"Oh, shut up, she will be fine, don’t be panic like that." Cane’s father patted his shoulder.

"And why are you holding the beef?"

On the other hand, Cane approached Iris and then help her while the twins were jumping up and down.

"The girls are here!"

They had prepared everything to welcome the new member of the family.
