"H... How can you say that? Brain and I came here for a new jewel and we just happened to see you both." Brenda laughed sweetly.

"Mr. AH, I think your wife has misunderstood me and it’s okay. Women tend to get insecure of their husbands when other women are around." Harlow almost scoffed at her words. She had seen this play over and over again and was already tired of it.

"I get that a lot and it’s okay. I look up to you as an elder sister, I have no intentions of stealing your husband." Brenda said like a wronged child.

"If you don’t want us here, it’s fine, we’ll find another jewelry shop in the city." Brenda turned around to leave. This is the part where Alanis would call her back and scold his wife for misunderstanding her.

He would say Harlow is inconsiderate and does not trust him enough. Then he would take Brenda’s hands and lead her inside. But Alanis did none of that. In fact, he was happy Brenda had started leaving.

"Let’s go in Villian." He said to his wife and turned to leave but. "You’re leaving Mr Ah?" Brenda called with her sweet voice.

She was shocked her trick didn’t work. Alanis and his wife are both meant to argue right now because of her and then she’ll apologize and act all good. What the hell is going on?

"You came to shop didn’t you Brenda? Go in and shop with your husband. I never asked you to leave before, I only thought you were stalking us because it’s strange we now see you everywhere we go." Harlow said.

"I..."

"Now that we have cleared the misunderstanding, it’s okay." Harlow smiled and started walking away and Alanis followed suit.

Brenda stomped her foot as she stared at them but felt a sharp pain in her injured knee. "Ahh."

"A... A... Are y... You o... O ... Kay... kay?" Brain rushed to his wife’s side but she pushed him aside.

"Let me go!" She yelled. "This is all your fault. You better buy me an expensive jewel that would match hers, because I’m picking anything she picks. That’s what you get for being this way." She started walking towards the store.

"W... we h... have n... no m... money left," Brian muttered as he followed her in. He had used almost everything he owned in purchasing the farmhouse Brenda wanted. Right now, they barely have the money to eat.

He had wanted to discuss things with her but he hasn’t gotten a chance to. Brenda would rather spend all day monitoring the new couples than spend a second with him.

She used to love him no matter how much he stammered, but after their marriage, she turned into a monster. She made him separate from his family, taking all of his inheritance and right now, she’s ruined him.

In the diamond shop, Harlow and Alanis sat in the special room as various customized diamond rings were displayed before their eyes. Alanis had asked for multiple rings because he had no idea which one would fit his wife perfectly.

Pleasing a diamond expertise can be hard. Not only was Alanis a little nervous, but the manager and a few sales representatives standing in the room with Harlow were equally nervous. It is because everyone knows she’s the diamond queen.

One word from her and their company will be gone forever. A woman who had singlehandedly ended the reign of Blackwood Diamond Company. The former biggest in the globe could do anything.

Harlow’s eyes scanned each diamond ring. Even if her facial expressions gave nothing, her heart exploded with joy. Picking a diamond ring with Alanis had been one of her wishes in the past. She had even gone as far as wishing he would change their ring on every anniversary.

She hoped Alanis wouldn’t do that too.

"Do you not like anyone?" Alanis asked.

"They’re each beautiful." Harlow bellowed still staring at them. It was hard to choose, but she knew she had to choose one. She didn’t want something too flashy, but then she wanted a ring that was made with diamonds on all sides.

And she’s found the one. She smiled. "I pick this one." The manager and all the sales reps sighed in relief when she finally made her choice.

"You’re truly the diamond queen indeed. You’ve picked the best out of all." The man said.

"Are you sure this is the one you like Villian?" He asked to be sure.

"Of course," Harlow said. She watched him pick the smaller ring and knelt before her.

"Aww!!!" The ladies there blushed as they stared at them.

Even the manager could not hide his amusement. A man as powerful as Alanis kneeling before his equally powerful wife to propose again. This is the best marriage on earth.

Alanis held his wife’s hands, his dark eyes staring right at her green ones.

"I know we’re already married Villian. It may seem like I’m doing too much. This may be so embarrassing to you. You might want to scold me after this and it’s fine. But if I am given a second chance at life, you’re the one I want to be with. If given a third, I would still choose you no matter what it takes.

"I will never stop saying how much I love you forever Harlow. No matter where we are, no matter the situation. Even if you’re all wrinkled and old. Even in the worst times, the good times, I will always love you." He said and even if Harlow’s face held no expression, her heart felt like it wanted to escape from her chest.

It was pounding so hard. So hard that Harlow felt unable to breathe.

She fought so hard not to react. This was what she always dreamt of in her past. She was certain her past Harlow would be dying from overjoy by now.

"This ring will be a symbol of our union and my promise to you. If I do break my promise, you can do with me what you want." And then slowly, he placed the ring in her hands.

Everyone there wished they were the ones being proposed to like this. But a certain person wasn’t really happy about this as she had just entered the building only to be greeted by the scene before her.
