"To make things fair, there will no longer be Bean paste soups during our general eating or spicy foods in this mansion anymore.

"Anyone who wants to eat their favorite foods can eat them in their free time, or each food can be cooked separately.

"No one is allowed to try to poison the other with their allergies, we’re one family, you shouldn’t forget that," Frank concluded.

"I have never tried to poison my stepdaughter, I genuinely had no idea she was allergic to my favorite soup. Harlow is clearly making accusations against me and Claudia." Elisa started and all Harlow could do was smile. These people were lying with straight faces. How did she not see all of these in her past life?

Harlow said nothing, merely smiling. Their ability to lie so blatantly left her both amused and disgusted. How had she been so blind to all this in her past life?

She had always known Claudia was cruel, but she hadn’t realized her stepmother was the one orchestrating it all. They had planned everything together, and in her past life, these two women had killed her father and stolen her inheritance.

But not this time.

"Harlow clearly tried to poison your wife," Elisa continued, her voice rising in outrage. "You’ve let a lot of her bad behavior slide, Frank, but this is too much. If you won’t do something about her, I will."

It clicked in Harlow’s mind then, it hadn’t been her father who told Garth about her allergies. It had been Elisa. The very same woman who had ruined her life in the previous timeline. Elisa was the one who had turned the Hamilton family against her, even manipulating Alanis.

"I thought you said you didn’t care about Alanis, Harlow," Claudia sneered. "Are you making all this fuss because he’s here?"

Harlow rolled her eyes, unfazed by the accusation. "I truly don’t care about Mr. Hamilton, Claudia. You can have him all you want."

Alanis who had been quietly sipping his soup stared at his indifferent-looking wife in alter astonishment. It’s the first time an emotion has shown on his face since he arrived.

That emotion was far from shock.

Wrath...

His emotions were evident on his cold face. Who does this woman think she is to just toss him like he was an object to her silly sister?

He dropped his spoon on his plate. It was time he taught her some lesson. But wait... This might be another one of her tricks.

Maybe she just wants his attention. He smiled. She was doing all of this to gain his attention.

His mood suddenly lit up, as he was no longer offended by her words anymore.

Claudia who had seen him smile just now, had mistaken that his smile was because of her and she smiled back. At least she knows Alanis is on her side.

"Alanis, would you let anyone bully your future wife?" She rushed to his side, her voice soft and pitiful. Like she hadn’t just demanded their Chef gets beheaded.

She had deliberately asked Harlow that question so that she rejected Alanis right before everyone for the second time.

"No one dares harm my wife," Alanis said staring at the red-haired.

"But my dear sister here tried to poison us and Mama wants her to pay, what punishment do you think is best for her?" Claudia asked.

"Why would you punish my wife?" He asked

"Wife?" Claudia asked confused.

"D... didn’t Garth tell you already? We’re getting married soon Alanis, Harlow is no longer your wife."

Elisa slapped her forehead with her palm. Her stupid daughter just doesn’t know when to relay certain information. Garth is meant to be the one to break such information to Alanis, not her.

"I don’t recall demanding for a second wife when I’m still married."

Surprisingly, Harlow didn’t reject him this time.

She has thought about it carefully and realized that she needed her marriage with Alanis. In other to destroy that family, she would need to be in the family. When she’s done, she can dump the fool the same way he did her.

Claudia’s face reddened in both embarrassment and anger, "You two are already divorced. Harlow just admitted to not wanting you, yet you still want to be married to her?" Claudia had never been embarrassed in her entire life. How did this night turn from sweet to bitter?

The maids closed their eyes from the embarrassment, even Frank was ashamed of his daughter. She was begging for love, and embarassing the family.

Claudia had bragged for weeks about how much Alanis loved her. But he seems quite smitten by her sister.

Just what did the witch do to him?

"That’s enough Claudia, well settle this later."

Claudia clenched her hands into a fist. She would never let this happen. Harlow and Alanis can never be together.

Elisa who was already so angry about her daughter’s rejection, turned to Harlow immediately. She was ready to unleash her wrath on her stepdaughter but suddenly changed her mind and spoke calmly. "Why did you poison our food, Harlow?"

Maybe her son-in-law had rejected Claudia because of how they treated the chef, if they changed their approach and tried to blame Harlow for everything, maybe just maybe, he would change his mind.

"I had no idea of your allergies Claudia. I’m truly sorry Elisa if I had harmed you in any way with my cold. You’re right, I should have drank hot tea or warm water if I felt any type of way, rather than disturbing you both with my sickness." Harlow started, already playing their games better.

Elisa was taken aback by the girl’s innocent attitude. How can Harlow beat her to her game?

"It’s good to know that I’m all alone in this family." Harlow rose from where she sat. "I just lost my appetite, as usual." She helped Grandma Hamilton up and was about to leave when "That’s enough Harlow. It’s not your fault, that is why the rules I have placed will be effective from tomorrow." Frank said and she smiled.

"Thank you, Father." Harlow smiled innocently at her father. She walked to his side and gave him a warm hug.

"I’m truly sorry Claudia. I’m sorry too Elisa." Both women were momentarily speechless. How did things get this way?
