Apparently, it was for the good of the King and Queen, so she couldn’t really argue about it. As such, she simply shrugged at her own choices, especially since their Queen and King were both awake already anyway.

Still, not all were as they seemed. The King lost his memories somehow, but their Queen managed to make it all work. Thankfully, their King was powerful enough to see someone’s past through their memories by drinking their blood, and their Queen used that to their benefit so that he could use her memories instead.

With those thoughts in her head, Dani returned to doing what she was doing. Currently, she was making her way back to their residence when she suddenly stopped and turned in the direction where she had left Zaila. They had just spent some time drinking tea together, and the latter did nothing but pry on her married life.

Clicking her tongue, she continued on with her walk while Zaila’s words replayed themselves inside her head.

Making herself ready in her room, Dani did her best to calm herself as she waited for Abel to return from his duties. Armed with nothing but her wits and her own limited and secondhand knowledge about what she was about to do, all she could do now was steel her nerves and make herself ever more presentable for the inevitable exchange between them.

She couldn’t help but sigh to herself as she laid herself down on their bed in wait. It was one thing to think that she was going to give herself away to her husband, but thinking and actually doing things were wildly different. She could tell herself that she was ready all she wanted, but was she really ready for what was about to happen? Ready for the one thing that she thought would only happen on her own terms?

Dani almost jumped up from bed as Abel suddenly announced his presence to her. Quickly making herself ready, she gave him a soft smile as she put on a soft pose meant to attract him to her.

"O-Oh, just thinking about a few things," she vaguely replied with a reassuring smile. "Particularly, I’m thinking about us."

Her choice of words clearly had an effect as Abel quickly leaned in. "Us?"

"Well, we haven’t consummated our marriage yet, and there’s nothing stopping us from doing it now, right?"

Abel’s eyes visibly widened as his eyes finally seemingly noticed her current choice in attire. Her body was more than ready for what was going to happen. All that was left was for her to give him permission.
