The Crown's Seduction-Chapter 50: Sucking In More Energy

"Do you know what you're doing right now, Mine?" Nikolai gasped, barely a whisper.

'Of course, I know what I'm doing! Seducing you!' Mineah mused. Turning to meet his gaze, she flashed him a naive smile as she hummed, "What? I'm just being honest. I'd prefer that you cuddle me whenever I'm feeling cold."

Sighing, Nikolai closed his eyes, and Mineah eagerly stared at him wondering why his face had suddenly turned serious.

To her surprise, he suddenly stood up.

"Where are you going?"

"I need a cold bath," he shrugged.

Mineah blinked as she watched him attempt to leave. Well, she wasn't going to let him go that easily.

Also getting up, she said, "I need one too!" She then eagerly hummed as she added, "Oh, right. You also said that you'll let me borrow your energy, right? Let's do it in a lake with cold water then. You see, I gain more energy when I'm in a cold environment."

She couldn't help but smile brightly at her husband's expressions. She was enjoying Nikolai's reddening face. It was unlikely for a pale vampire like him to turn red like this, so she couldn't help but find it fascinating.

Crinkling his brows, Nikolai stared intently at her for a while before letting out a heavy breath. Mineah frowned at his response. She didn't know why he was acting like this, constantly sighing despite the blush on his face. Wasn't it good for them to bathe together? He clearly enjoyed doing so before.

"Fine… Come here," Nikolai resigned himself as he offered his hand to her. "The best lake to bathe in here is in the crater, and that's also the coldest place on the island. It will be a long walk for you, however, so I'll just carry you there."

Mineah almost yelped when he suddenly scooped her into his arms. Instinctively, she wrapped her arms around his neck as she locked her gaze on him.

"We won't take long," Nikolai hummed.

Being aware of how he would probably shift into his mist form, Mineah comfortably nuzzled her head onto his sturdy chest in preparation. She had experienced a bit of dizziness traveling with Alexa like this before, and she could only assume that the same could be said with him as well.

Predictably, Nikolai turned into mist and flew the two of them into the caldera in the middle of the island. After just a few moments, he hummed, "We're here."

Mineah opened her eyes just as Nikolai gently put her down. Sure enough, they were already inside the crater. Specifically, they were by caldera lake's shoreline.

Smiling, she gasped, "This is perfect." Excited, she turned to Nikolai only to close her eyes in protest. "Why are you stripping?!"

"I'm going to take a bath, Mine. Should I do it with my clothes on?" he nonchalantly asked. "Hurry up. Remove your clothes and follow me."

Against her better judgment, Mineah slowly opened her one eye to take a peek, only to quickly close it again as soon as she saw Nikolai's butt cheeks. He was walking naked toward the water, and she couldn't help but gulp even as she fought the blush threatening to overtake her body.

"Why do I need to get naked when I can have a dip in the water with my clothes on?" she weakly complained as she contemplated on what to do.

"Hurry up, Mine. Are you scared?" Nikolai goaded her with a chuckle. "You're the one who wanted this, right?"

Mineah pressed her lips as she glared at him. This man was obviously taunting and challenging her. He was currently facing her, and thankfully, his naked lower half was now under the water so she was only able to see his toned upper body.

Somehow, she felt disappointed despite herself.

With a lifted brow, Mineah let out a loud sigh before she began pulling up on the tunic she was wearing. All but tossing it aside, she had no intentions of backing down now. Blushing red, she confidently walked naked toward him.

Unlike her, Nikolai didn't even bother to close his eyes, or even blink or turn around. He was keenly ogling her, and Mineah didn't know whether to be flattered or feel shy about his blatant actions.

"Hands," she muttered as she met his intense and piercing gaze. "Give them to me."

He followed her instructions, and she quickly moved to hold his hands. "This is a weird way of borrowing energy," she scoffed.

"Why? Because we're naked?" Nikolai grinned. "But we're in the water right now, and you just said it's more effective doing this in such an environment."

"But I'm not naked whenever I do it with my handmaidens," she snorted.

"Just think of it as trying something new," Nikolai smirked. "Who knows? This might give you a better boost of energy."

"Focus now," Mineah sternly said as she quickly closed her eyes to shrug away her embarrassment. "I'll be starting the process now."

Focusing on the task at hand, Mineah did her best to replenish her inner energy. The cold water was starting to seep through her, and as she expected, it became way easier for her to concentrate and relax her body.

Despite her misgivings, it was honestly better doing this naked like this since there would be no hindrances at all between her body and the cold water. She felt lighter and more relaxed, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

Not bothering to inform the man before her, Mineah started taking in energy from Nikolai. It was quite different from what she was used to, however… For some reason, his energy felt stronger and more robust. It was as if his energy was truly boosting her to full capacity.

'Why do I have this feeling of wanting to just keep this energy for myself?'

The temptation was strong, but Mineah quickly shrugged the thought away as she quickly gathered energy from her surroundings and the elements near her reach.

All the while, she kept getting more than what she was expecting. It was honestly overwhelming. It almost felt like everything was so easy while she was using Nikolai's energy.

"Mine… Tell me once you're done," Nikolai whispered into her ear.

From his words, she couldn't help but be aware of how his warm body felt against hers as he moved closer. She was starting to feel something off and weird the longer they went. In truth, she was sucking in more energy from Nikolai than she was supposed to.

"Mine…" Nikolai hoarsely gasped.

With that, she immediately opened her eyes. "Are you alright?"

Cupping her face, Nikolai answered, "You've drained me… Let me charge myself..."
