Penelope didn’t know what to think of herself for enjoying what Tyrion did to her now. Before this very moment, she would have found it strange if anyone spoke of doing this, yet she found herself gripping the blanket beneath her for dear life.
Was it right for her to think of herself as a lady after this?
Tyrion’s name was repeatedly called from her lips, something she was certain he would tease her about when he was done.
This moment brought on new things which Penelope was inexperienced in and had to learn more about. Her stomach felt in knots for a moment, then she felt relieved not long after, and it was all due to Tyrion.
Penelope met Tyrion’s gaze when he sat up. His tongue poked out of his lips as he savoured what lingered.
Penelope, once again, covered her face. How was she to face him after this?
"It’s a little too late to be hiding from me, isn’t it?" Tyrion asked, pulling her gown down to cover her legs.
Tyrion was tempted to have more of her, but he couldn’t, and it was placing him in a state of pain because he could not wait any longer. He got off the bed before he went any further than he had planned for the night.
Tyrion stood up. "We’ll stop here," he said as he walked to the bathing chamber.
Penelope propped herself up to watch as he walked away. How was this all?
The one thing Penelope knew should happen had not come yet. Still, she was grateful he had stopped here since there was so much for her to grasp.
Penelope fixed her nightgown so her chest was covered again.
Penelope sat patiently on the bed, waiting for Tyrion to return. What could be so urgent that he would up and leave her right after they shared such an intimate moment?
Was he hiding his dislike of what happened?
’I did not tell him to do that,’ Penelope thought.
Penelope pulled her feet up to her chest, hugging them as she waited for his return. She was still awake when Tyrion returned with a cloth in his hands.
"Why did you just leave?" Penelope asked, needing an answer before she continued to think the worst of what happened. "Did you not like what you did?" She shyly asked.
"I liked it a little too much. It was becoming unbearable for me to sit there wanting you so much. I took care of my troubles myself," Tyrion answered.
"Was it not something I could help with since I was the cause of your troubles?" Penelope asked.
"You could," Tyrion replied honestly. "But it would have you writhing beneath me as I filled you. It is either that or I make good use of your mouth."
"Oh," Penelope said, regretting she was ever so curious.
"Excuse my foul language," Tyrion said, sitting down before Penelope on the bed.
Penelope thought nothing of it. "It is only the two of us here. I wish to know all that you know about intimacy, so please, don’t hold back what you know when we are alone. Perhaps you could tell it in a softer manner."
"I don’t know if there is a soft way of saying I wanted to have your lips wrapped around my length to bring me some relief. No matter how I say it, I am willing to bet I will get the same reaction," said Tyrion.
Penelope couldn’t disagree.
"What are you doing?" Penelope asked, caught off guard by Tyrion rubbing the damp cloth against her leg.
"Cleaning you. What else did you think it was? There is not a big mess, but I should still clean what remains. Next time, I will be more careful not to waste a single drop. What?" Tyrion asked, noticing her reaction.
"It is somewhat amazing how your way of speaking has changed. I can do it myself," Penelope said, trying to take the cloth from his hands, but Tyrion wouldn’t allow it.
"I have gotten a good look. Why be embarrassed now?" Tyrion asked, continuing to clean her.
Tyrion pulled her nightgown down to cover her legs when he was finished cleaning her. He left her side for a moment to place the cloth where it could be taken in the morning to be washed.
"I am grateful that you did not ask so much of me tonight, but why didn’t you continue? As I said, you are-"
"Don’t finish that," Tyrion said, not wanting to hear what he could do as her husband. "I never want you to think that I could have my way with you in any matter simply because I am your husband. We can take this slowly. We make our rules here, understand?"
Penelope nodded.
"It is time that you get some rest," Tyrion said, joining Penelope on the bed.
Tyrion was the first one to lie down with Penelope, following him to lie beside him.
Tyrion did not like the space between them, so he inched closer to Penelope to hug her.
"Must you return to the palace tomorrow to be with your brother?" Penelope asked.
"I was going to see him, but if you want me to stay with you, I can. Since we are newlyweds, it is expected that we spend plenty of our early days in bed," said Tyrion.
Penelope wanted to spend the day together with Tyrion, but she felt guilty taking him away from his brother. "It was nothing. I only wanted to be prepared for what you will do tomorrow."
"I will stay home," Tyrion decided.
"But your brother," Penelope said, looking up at Tyrion.
"Will understand. He will find it strange if I miss the chance to be at your side. Besides, ladies will flock to him once it is announced that he has become the crown prince. I don’t want to be at his side then," said Tyrion.
Penelope laughed. "You must save your brother. Since many of those women would have once courted you, you must give him advice. What if you leave him be and he marries someone you know who does not have a kind heart? Someone who wishes to use his title."
"He has witnessed my times with many ladies who were welcomed to the palace. There are a few women he pleaded with me not to marry, so I hope he will remember what he said. Knowing my brother, his wife will be someone the town least expects," said Tyrion.
Despite being the second prince, Teo was often overlooked since many were aiming to be queen.
"He will never forget who cared little for his presence. A small handful of ladies were courting him before. His bride might likely come from that group, or now that the Callahans’ daughter is in the palace, there might be a way to settle tension with the border," Tyrion said.
Either way, Tyrion was certain Teo would make a good choice for a wife.
