Seoryun shrugged, clearly indifferent. "It’s fine. Doesn’t affect me much. Compared to other countries, I’m already being pretty polite. I only place spies on the outskirts, and they’re only there to report if any major movements happen."

"Remember the royal knights from the Yaguk Theocracy at the city gates?"

"Sending knights to the Nubilian Union at this point in time can only be about the war three months from now. It’s all just early deployment. And let’s be honest, they probably got intel from their own spies too, right?"

Illiya was stunned by how naturally Seoryun spoke about this.

He didn’t know whether to be more shocked that spies were involved—or that war preparations had already started.

The feeling of things being out of his control made him deeply uncomfortable—it was even more frustrating than back when he was in the Elven Forest, guessing every day whether the teacher instructing him was a real person or not.

He couldn’t go on like this.

Suddenly, Illiya stood up, reached out to rub his face, trying to relax a bit, to shake off the anxious spiral he was caught in.

He extended his hand, palm up. A faint glow of ancient white light flashed from the spatial bracelet on his wrist, and a thick stack of blank paper appeared in his hand. After placing the paper on the table, he pulled out a quill pen and ink bottle and set them to the side.

Illiya pulled up a stool and sat at the table, beginning to write.

He first wrote down key terms: "The Border," "Border cities of the Nubilian Union," "Demons," "Royal Knight Order of the Yaguk Theocracy," "Fallen Demons," and so on. Then, beside each keyword, he started jotting down the intel he already knew.
