The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra-Chapter 311: Settling Accounts
Chapter 311: Settling Accounts
At an unknown base, for now, at least, a heavy atmosphere hangs in the air. There was also a stench of blood that made anyone without any experience in this kind of field frown.
Several men were bowing at his feet, some were shivering, and some held a maniacal devotion to their very being. In their midst, there was no lack of fanatical lunatics.
Looking further, as the man stood next to his table, fragments of once cellphone could be seen in his hands and on the ground. His palm was also painted with blood.
Amidst the tension and the silence, a horrifying and insane laughter suddenly echoed. It was so loud and without any reservations at all, but what was most terrifying was the lack of humor in it.
"Good." He spat out as his laughter faded and so the glowed of his eyes became darker. "Come at me, Your Majesty."
His plans were getting awry, but there was no turning back. Even without the most crucial plan, he could succeed. And who said he couldn’t get his hands on that damn key again?
Thinking of that and the recent news from the capital, he gnashed his teeth in overwhelming anger. Once he got a hold of him...

A week had passed since the engagement, and in the outside world, it was still very peaceful. There wasn’t any news of war or terrorists after that war on Ford’s Domain.
Although those with keener eyes would still discern the approaching storm, the eye of the chaos wasn’t in the capital anymore. The forces in the capital seemed to have doubled, and some of them wore civilian clothes, mixing with the masses. This was not to add to the unrest more than necessary.
During this past week, the bases on the capital and the organization agents were also unearthed. The spies in the midst were not spared either. The black intel had begun their massive hunt on the rats lurking around in the capital.
Their operation was also so covert that all of these hideouts were caught off guard by their appearance. Spade’s tactics were always the same; he wanted to sweep them all at the same time.
This not only increased their efficiency but also the chances of the agents escaping after sensing something was wrong. Spade was extremely aware of how strong their noses were at sensing danger.
This didn’t only happen in the capital but in most places in the empire as well. Although the operation took a massive hit to the organization, Spade knew it wasn’t only the start, as they had yet to truly attack the organization’s turf.
Spade was only cleaning his base first, so he had the peace of mind to attack the outside.
During this time, Arren was also focusing on his treatment, but he wasn’t fully focused on them either, as he also spent his time with Spade. He was aware that the process was not going to be that easy and that it wouldn’t be fast either.
As long as he was doing his best and he was determined, it was more than enough hope to recover.
The time when they were settling the accounts of the past and the present was fast approaching. Arren was aware of the operations, and as much as he wanted to help, he knew that the only help he could give to Spade was his own recovery and well-being.
The alpha was most concerned about it, and so Arren was doing his best to at least not give his alpha more burdens, especially in this critical time.
"It’s beautiful..." Arren muttered in awe; he couldn’t avert his eyes from the view.
The garden was under renovation a few days ago, and while the place didn’t resemble its prime in his memories, it took a huge turn from that of a small and normal garden previously.
As they said, they wanted to use this garden to commemorate their past lives.
A certain flower began to bloom as the sun was setting from the horizon, which fascinated Arren. It appeared really magical in his eyes. Not only that, it sent a special message into his heart.
What they were about to face... They would surely take their victory.
"Indeed..." A baritone voice brushed in his ears, the alpha’s arms securely wrapping around Arren.
Arren’s lips brightly arched up, and he savored the feeling of being in the alpha’s secure embrace. Unlike their usual, Arren wasn’t sitting opposite Spade’s, but instead, he was currently sitting in the alpha’s lap.
The seat wasn’t that big, and so they looked really cramped in it, but they seemed not bothered by it in the slightest.
He turned his face and instantly met Spade’s gaze; he knew that the alpha was looking at him the whole time. Arren couldn’t help but chuckle and teasingly poke the alpha’s cheek.
"I’m talking about the flowers," Arren clarified; in fact, he was also hoping for a sweet talk, so he had to raise this topic.
These days, he wanted to always be intimate with the alpha. Perhaps the influence of the mark or something else? However that was, he was happier with Spade by his side. It was as though, whatever happened, he had the courage to face them head-on.
A ghost of a smile arched in Spade’s lips, his eyes brightening.
"I’m also talking about a beautiful flower..." He said that while looking straight into Arren’s eyes, his voice extremely gentle but magically deep, tickling Arren’s lips.
Arren paused for a moment, and then he finally couldn’t hold it in and laughed. His facial expression was more at ease and relaxed these days, and so Spade was also affected. In fact, his easygoing personality was slowly coming back.
He embraced Arren and even put a kiss on the omega’s shoulder blades, which made the latter laugh even harder as he was feeling giddy all over his body.
After a minute, they both leaned toward each other, looking at each other.
"You know Spade... I was thinking, " Arren started a normal conversation.
Spade’s attention was focused on his omega, listening to him attentively. Even if Arren’s words were often not serious, Spade always made sure that he didn’t miss a single thing.
"What is it?"
Arren smiled, tracing the alpha’s jaw slowly. There weren’t any particular intentions behind this move of his; he was only getting used to it.
"I haven’t graduated yet. A lot of things happened, and I had to stop because of it. But you know..." Arren licked his lips, seeing the intimidating gaze from the alpha. He felt like laughing because he had no clue what the alpha was thinking.
Arren had to shake his head, assuring the alpha.
"I’m not going to postpone the wedding! Okay?" Arren remarked. He also wanted this so much.
To those people who aren’t privy to what they’ve been through, this wedding seems so abrupt, and Arren was still young. Even on some forums, Arren’s age and the age gap were becoming the most talked-about topics.
However, for Arren and Spade, the age didn’t matter too much. If it were any ordinary day without the past life or dangers, no matter how much they loved each other, Arren and Spade might not want to marry so quickly, but they wanted to fulfill a lot of things.
Marrying was only the start of one of those future plans.
"What is it... then?" Spade asked cautiously.
Arren smiled somehow sheepishly and leaned into Spade’s ears to whisper.
"I want to step on the stage with you when I graduate." He then withdrew slightly and looked into Spade’s eyes. "Deal?"
As he said, on every special day, he wanted to spend it with everyone he loved, treasuring it in his heart forever.
