Chapter 334: I Have Found You Again (1)

In the two months that passed, Arren’s recovery had greatly improved, and his personality was also slowly returning to what it used to be. He was carefree, but at least, for him, he had matured a bit.

He wasn’t that careless anymore, which was a good improvement. fгeewebnovёl.com

In the last two months, while he was undergoing sessions, it wasn’t as if they only talked about his trauma to Ms. M, but a lot of other things too. In fact, he often talks about anything other than his trauma most of the time.

Some of them were his plans for the future and what they held for him as the future empress.

Overall, Arren’s disposition turned for the better as each day passed.

Just a week ago, Arren proposed a vacation to Spade, which the alpha approved without thinking much about it. It wasn’t also a good thing for Arren to always be holed up in the palace.

"Do you want me to cook steak this time?" Arren whispered, looking at the rows of packaged meat, reaching out for the beef.

At his side, Arren felt someone’s breath tickle his cheek as an arm wrapped around his wrist.

"I’m fine with anything." A deep voice answered him in an indulgent tone.

Arren looked up and chuckled. "Really?" He asked teasingly.

The other’s lips curled, his amber eyes only absorbed by the omega in front of him.

"Hmm, I can eat anything."

Arren squinted his eyes at that. A mischievous thought seemed to flash across his mind for a moment. Of course, how could the alpha fail to notice it? And so, with an amused smile, Spade jokingly flicked the naughty omega’s forehead.

"We’re talking about food," he clarified.

"Of course, we’re talking about food, duh?" Arren spoke as if it were a matter of course. Then, with a laugh, he continued, "Could it be you’re the one with a dirty mind? Tsk, Spade, my mind is so pure right now."

Arren really sounded as if he were between the two of them; it was Spade who had a naughty mind. However, Spade didn’t argue with him, always letting Arren have it his way.

In this, Arren’s gaze showed a hint of approval, pleased with his fiancee’s attitude.

"Here, we can eat a lot since... I can exercise later." Arren winked at Spade before grabbing packs of beef slices, and giving them to Spade as the alpha obediently put them in their cart.

With one hand to push the cart and his other hand placed on Arren’s shoulders, the two continued shopping, only stopping when Arren saw something to buy.

This was their second time buying groceries, and so Spade already knew how Arren could be distracted by anything.

"Look, isn’t it good to also bake a cake?" They happened to pass by the part with baking necessities.

And as usual, Spade nodded. In any case, he had the money to spend on his omega. Whatever Arren laid his eyes on, Spade could afford to buy it for him.

Their cart had become almost full by this point when Arren spotted the chip stands. Spade slowly turned his gaze away, embracing Arren to get away.

Except for unhealthy foods like chips, it was fine to buy them in bulk.

Arren pouted at him, giving him a cute, pleading expression. Spade fought with himself, and again, he was defeated.

"Fine, just one."

"Two..." Arren murmured, caressing his alpha’s hand.

Spade sighed. "Fine, just two."

Arren’s widened immediately and excitedly went into the stands, choosing what he wanted the most, even looking at a few more, but was stopped by Spade’s stern gaze.

When he put the big bag of chips in the cart, Spade could even hear Arren murmur to himself. "Stingy."

Of course, Arren knew it wasn’t that Spade was stingy, but he still wanted to say it. Unfortunately for him, even if he purposely increased his voice, Spade still pushed the cart away from there.

And also, Arren didn’t even know just how Spade pulled him closer to not let Arren see the rows of alcoholic beverages, making a swift escape from them.

"Is there anything else?" Spade whispered; they were in line at the cashier.

"I seem to have forgotten something I wanted to buy..." Arren looked at the groceries and couldn’t pinpoint what it was he wanted to buy but forgot.

Spade patted Arren and diverted his attention. "Isn’t it chips?"

"Chips?" Arren was still skeptical, but he nodded in the end. "Seems so, I guess."

Spade breathed a sigh inside as if relieved and persuaded Arren, to talk about something else while they waited for their turn.

When it was their turn, the cashier took a brief glance at them as if wanting to know when they had seen him before, but since it was rude to stare that long, she returned to her job.

One thing was that Spade’s aura was too strong, not letting anyone approach even without leaking his pheromones.

Arren and Spade didn’t make a lot of effort in their disguise, as they really wanted to experience a normal day as a couple. So, aside from their hats, there was nothing else.

Since there wasn’t any danger anymore, Spade also didn’t care too much if their whereabouts were exposed, but that was just troublesome.

For those who could recognize their face, they would also think twice if it was really them. After all, this place was the small domain of a baron, south of the empire. Who would have thought that the emperor and his future empress were staying there and not in the capital?

Soon, the two returned to a small house not far from the grocery store. This was also a normal two-story house, enough for the two of them to live in.

While sorting their groceries, Arren suddenly stopped and his eyes widened, finally remembering what it was he wanted to buy.

"Aaah! Damn you, Spade!" He shouted, looking accusingly at the alpha in front of him. Arren just knew it had something to do with the alpha in front of him!

Arren would not admit that it was only his fault for not remembering in the first place.

Spade calmly continued sorting the groceries, as though saying he was extremely innocent.

With gritted teeth, Arren complained. "Wine. At least, you should let me buy a wine, it’s a good partner for steak. And it’s romantic, okay?"

Before answering, Spade opened a compartment and grabbed something. Under Arren’s eyes, he put it in the kitchen isle.

It was a wine bottle with only half of its contents.

And that made Arren shut up, not having any excuse.

Instead, he could only glare at Spade, muttering some curses. He wasn’t the least bit afraid that he was an emperor. Who cares?

At the corners of his eyes, Spade watched Arren amusingly before shaking his head.

I need to coax him later.
