The Gigolo System in the Academy of Magic-Chapter 19: Who Is Following Me?
Chapter 19 - Who Is Following Me?
"What's wrong?"
Selena was now sitting next to James on the large hospital bed. Her chest was his mouth but feeling her hand being grabbed she couldn't help but speak between moans.
James didn't respond, he just firmly grasped her right hand and slowly guided it down his body. Feeling something hard and hot, Selena retreated suddenly as if frightened.
"What are you doing?!"
James leaned back and put on an innocent expression: "It hurts? I just wanted you to massage away the pain."
"Do you think I'm an idiot? That's, that's, that's your..."
"My what?"
"Your, your..."
While Selena was short circuiting, James took the opportunity to guide her soft palm into his pants. They were slightly cold however the soft skin was quickly warmed up by his own heat. But before he could enjoy the feeling, Selena quickly got up and rushed out of the bed.
"I need to go, I've already stayed here too long!"
He didn't even have time to say anything before the door banged closed.
James sat back on the bed with a dark face. Both times, just when things were getting interesting, it suddenly got cut off...Tonight he would not let anything distract them!
He shelved the thought for now and turned to the system.
[Recurring Achievement: Be intimate with contract in new location]
[Reward: 1000 affection points]
James was happy to get more affection points, but when he looked at the favorability, he realised it was still [79 (Love)]. He guessed that anything above [80] was like a natural barrier, it seems there needs to be a big event to push the favorability forward.
He turned to the system mall and began looking through the various items. He wanted to buy a magic shield to protect himself.
After all, he made such a big move in the afternoon so he was feeling a little unsafe. He wasn't sure if Ryan - if it was Ryan who killed him originally - would start to get anxious and send someone after him.
But looking at his affection points that were only around 3000, James shook his head. Maybe he could take a chance at the lottery?
But even if he did get a magic shield it would not be useful in protecting against those higher level enemies.
And those high level shields couldn't even be used by him anyway, his mana wasn't enough to support them, neither was his lifeforce. If he tried to use a level 7 shield he would probably start turning to dust before it even got warmed up.
Actually, right now, there were more pressing matters. James looked down at his pants.
"Ice Prison."
The room suddenly became colder.
"I didn't think I would be using spells for this purpose..."
When it was evening James was finally kicked out of the resting area. The first thing James did was spend affection points to buy another trace crystal and place it in his dorm room Then he wandered through the streets heading toward the teacher's residences in a roundabout way.
By this time it was already night. The busy streets were lit up by the various storefronts and people were talking and laughing with friends. This was unofficially the business sector, which really meant this was the place where one could buy the potions, alchemical items and other magical products.
Once, James peered into the window of the shop to see a new alchemical product from the Dwaren Region but looking at the price he quickly retreated. Even though the system was a dirty capitalist it was still better than these people.
James was walking absentmindedly when he suddenly felt a tingling in the back of his neck. He stealthily looked around but he didn't see anything unusual. Some people would glance at him because of his shabby robes but they would always quickly look away in disdain.
What's wrong?
James didn't know why but he suddenly started feeling tense. In his mind, hidden between the bustle and hustle of the street, he seemed to hear distinct footsteps. When he stopped, they stopped. When turned into another street they also turned.
Someone is following me?
The moon was out tonight casting dark shadows on the ground. But while just this afternoon these shadows would have given him comfort, at this moment they only seemed to hide danger.
James didn't hesitate, he immediately took out his communicator and contacted Selena. Even though his reason told him that even Ryan Everheart would never dare do anything to him in public, he still had to take precautions.
He was getting closer to his destination now. Just ahead there was a small alley that he would usually take when he wanted to quickly reach the teachers residence, it directly cut through the noble sector of Ainsworth.
Bzzt!
James glanced down at the reply he had just received from Selena and a cold light flashed by his eyes. He decided to take a risk.
In the busy street a lone figure suddenly disappeared into a dark alley. No one seemed to notice or care. But a few seconds later another figure quickly followed.
James was walking through the alley. The place was only dimly lit by the moonlight, and the walls on both sides were gray and had moss growing on them. At this time the sounds from the street behind him had faded but he could hear the footsteps behind him clearly.
Not trying to hide anymore? Is this person so confident?
James' expression was grave.
He started walking faster and faster as if he was very nervous. The person behind him also began walking faster.
The alleyway was quite short, so with both people speeding up, the street ahead quickly came into view. The bright yellow doorway flickered invitingly, and James rushed forward like a moth to a flame. The murmuring of the busy street - the bustle of feet, excited conversations - entered into his ear.
A few more steps.
Thinking this, just as he was about to enter the world of light again, James suddenly turned around.
"It's you?"
