Chapter 396: Chapter 396- The Great Magic Era

"That’s... How come I didn’t get news of that information?"

Byeong-Ho shook his head.

"The news was kept a secret between the upper echelon of the Academy and the Shaolin Sect’s Leader. However, because the person who found the secret area was Princess Rina, those of the Western Continent had discovered it as well."

"What a strange girl, she disappeared as soon as she stepped foot on the Continent only to discover something like this."

Ushi said.

"This is not all." freewёbnoνel.com

Byeong-Ho suddenly said, drawing everyone’s curiosity.

They couldn’t believe there was more, but could it be more shocking than the corpse of an Immortal?

However, Byeong-Ho’s next words caused everyone to suck in a cold breath of air.

"The corpse of the Immortal was found at the periphery of the secret area that had unstable space, that along with the corpse itself releasing a terrifying aura made it hard for one to approach. However, when Princess Rina tried to obtain the corpse and ultimately failed, she claimed there were fluctuations of Holy Energy and Mana Energy somewhere deeper inside. From her accounts, she said the source of Holy Energy and Mana Enery might be from two more corpses."

Silence descended on the manor courtyard for a moment before it was broken by a shocked Cian.

"How is that possible? Wasn’t our Continents separated by that barrier? Not even peak exitances of our Western Continent had been able to forcefully bypass it in the past. During the start of the Great Calamity, it was said that a peak existence from the Divine Beast Race had crippled his cultivation and scattered his energy to enter and search for a way his Race can escape the Calamity. However, he simply vanished after entering, never to be heard of again."

After saying this, Cian looked around and saw that even though everyone was shocked at first it was only for a brief moment. It was then he realized Sol, and the others might have known something like this.

Ushi came out of his thoughts to look at Cian. With a mysterious smile on his face, he asked.

"Would you believe me if I told you that my Miura Clan discovered several traces of your Western Continent in our lands?"

Cian was stumped upon hearing that; Sol and the others couldn’t help but look at Ushi in slight surprise as well.

Ushi calmly looked at Byeong-ho and said.

"I think you might be underestimating the value of my Shadow Dimension quite a bit. It might not necessarily be any less valuable than the corpse of Immortal or a God."

Everyone’s expression turned serious when they heard that, while Ushi continued.

"My Miura Clan’s lineage might not be as long-standing as those of the Six Holy Sects and Five Great Clans in Jianghu, but we are only slightly weaker than them. They even fear us to some extent and wouldn’t dare provoke us. This is all because of our Bloodline and our ability to create unique and powerful Divine Artifacts on a whim, but more so the latter. The methods of how we create these Artifacts differ from the norm, and perhaps only the Barbarian Race’s lost Blacksmithing Legacy could compete with us."

Ushi looked at Mar-Dule with a grin. Mar-Dule couldn’t help but narrow his eyes in suspicion.

Ushi didn’t mind and only continued.

"Our Bloodline and the methods of crafting Divine Artifacts were all obtained from our Shadow Dimension. However, the Dimension only opens when there is a Lunar Eclipse our Clan calls Dawn of Darkness."—Ushi paused here and his smile grew wider as he asked—"Considering how strong my Clan is, can you guess how many times we’ve entered the dimension?"

Ushi didn’t give anyone a chance to answer as he suddenly held up two fingers.

"Dawn of Darkness only happens once every two thousand years, and it was four thousand years ago when my Miura Clan first entered. The last time was two thousand years ago."

This news caused everyone to become shocked.

One should know that the Six Holy Sects and Five Great Clans were established during a time of great turmoil far back in the past after the Immortal Deities had disappeared.

That was so long ago it was hard to fathom how many powerful Sects and Clans had risen and fallen over the years. Yet, the Six Holy Sect and Five Great Clans had remained in the world until now.

One could only imagine how deep their foundation was and the amount of power each one of them wielded.

However, despite this fact, Ushi claimed that his Clan which was established four thousand years ago, a time that could be said to be a drop in the bucket for these Holy Sects and Great Clans, had managed to catch up with them in terms of power. And this was all due to them entering the Shadow Dimension a mere two times.

Sol and the others now understood how valuable the Shadow Dimension was.

Ushi continued.

"My Clan never wanted this tournament to happen within our Dimension but due to the pressure of the Holy Sects and Great Clan as well the Church and Royal Families, we were forced to agree. The Church might have suggested it, but how could the other powers dare miss out on such an opportunity?"

Cian suddenly frowned and asked.

"Does the traces of our Western Continent have anything to do with this separate dimension?"

Ushi nodded and said seriously.

"This isn’t a secret anymore since those of the Western Continent have likely discovered it after coming here. The Legacy of our Miura Clan is related to the Royals, or more specifically, our methods of crafting Divine Artifacts are related to them."

Suddenly, Cian realized something, and he hurriedly said.

"In the past before the Great Calamity, the Human Race was always inferior to the Elvian, Dwarven, and Divine Beast Race. However, after allying with the Dwarven Race, Humans started developing Mana Tools and Weapons that allowed them to become the strongest of the Four Races. It was sort of a revolutionary Era for the Magic World where a small sub-branch of Magic Study called Alternative Magic was strong enough to compete with traditional Magic. Even the Church had benefited from this revolution, as at that time Holy Energy was considered a branch of Magic. During that Era, even ordinary people who were doomed to never wield Holy Energy or Mana could do so. That was the peak of the Magic Era."

Cian seemed to be transported back to that time and he couldn’t help but feel excitement bubble up within his heart. Anyone from the Western Continent would react like this when the Great Magic Era was mentioned.

It was a truly glorious time for them that instilled within them immense pride.
