Chapter 411: Chapter 411- Suspicion

Sol suddenly stopped going through the jade slip with Mar-Yue, and the female attendant took this opportunity to ask with a bright smile.

"Has the Young Master found anything he likes?"

Sol smiled but shook his head.

"We’re still looking."

He then turned to Woo-seong who had returned and was wearing a grumpy expression.

"Do you want the battle robes? I’ll buy it for you."

Woo-seong paused before he hurriedly waved his hands.

"You don’t have to do that brother Sol, that’s Two million high-grade Aether Stones, I definitely won’t be able to repay you in the future."

Sol smiled faintly and shook his head.

"You don’t have to repay me; I’ll buy it as a gift for you."

Woo-seong was still hesitant to accept Sol’s offer, but Sol didn’t wait for his response, he turned to the female attendant and told her he was getting the black battle robes as well.

The female attendant’s expression was all smiles as she nodded and called another attendant over once again.

Woo-seong seeing this gave Sol a helpless look, but there was also immense gratitude in his eyes. That was two million high-grade Aether Energy stones!

Just a simple thank you wasn’t enough to express the amount of gratitude he had, so Woo-seong just remained silent and wanted his actions in the future to speak for themself.

Seeing how seriously Woo-seong was acting, Sol smiled bitterly.

It really wasn’t that big of a deal for him to buy those battle robes, he didn’t even feel a pinch.

Even though Sol had poured the money he accidentally extorted from the Holy Sects and Great Clans into the loaning business he set up to help the mortals in Pearl City, he made back more than enough after scamming all of the top Sects and Clans in Pearl City.

He had convinced the Alchemy Disciples to allow him to sell the medicinal plants they got from the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension instead of selling them to the Academy.

After disseminating the wealth he obtained from the top Sects and Clans in Pearl City to them, as well as Yoon-Jae and the others, Sol had around one hundred million high-grade Aether stones remaining on him right now.

This wasn’t even mentioning the mid-grade and high-grade medicinal plants he hadn’t managed to sell to the top Sects and Clans. The resources Ji-Hoon had given them before they left the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension weren’t low in numbers.

Most of them were rare and precious medicinal plants that were hard to find outside.

After Sol used the ones with Wood Elemental attributes to brew his wine he still had others with different attributes that totaled about seventy-eight million high-grade Aether Stones on the market.

Sol was a very wealthy boy right now, and he could even be called a little merchant prince. An extremely rich self-made merchant prince. What was two million high-grade Aether Stones to him?

A bout of confidence suddenly arose in Sol’s heart.

This type of confidence was different from what one would have if they had outstanding talents or were peerless in their generation.

No, this type of confidence came from having extremely deep pockets!

It was to the point where Sol felt incredibly satisfied and content.

Suddenly, a tug on Sol’s sleeves brought him out of his thoughts. He turned to see that it was Mar-Yue.

She had a slight blush on her face as she said softly.

"I’ve chosen three more cultivation robes, but are you sure I can get them all? They’re quite expensive."

Sol suddenly smiled nonchalantly and said.

"Of course, it’s just a few million high-grade Aether Stones, no big deal."

Mar-Yue was a bit taken aback by Sol’s words, but not only her, Woo-seong too was looking at Sol with a look of surprise.

A few people browsing the store also turned to look this way after they happened to overhear Sol’s conceited words.

The males looking were wearing expensive-looking clothes while the females were wearing captivating dresses. It was obvious all of them were from extremely influential backgrounds and were possibly people well-known outside of the Academy in Martial Alliance City.

However, even they were shocked by Sol’s words. Those were high-grade Aether Stones after all, not a bunch of radishes or cabbages.

They all looked at him with either curiosity or envy, but some youths snorted derisively and looked away.

Getting this reaction and feeling everyone’s gazes, Sol’s expression didn’t falter, instead, it became even more complacent.

The female attendant was the only one who became excited by Sol’s words, almost to the point of becoming stupid.

If one got close to her, one could even hear her erratic breathing.

"Young Master, this is only the first floor of our store, with four more floors above I’m sure you’ll be able to find more dresses for the Young Miss."

Smiling, Sol looked toward Mar-Yue, but Mar-Yue shook her head.

"I’m content with the ones I bought already."

Sol nodded and turned back to the female attendant to say.

"We’ll be leaving so let’s go complete the purchase."

The female attendant was feeling immense regret in her heart, but she smiled on the surface and led the three to one of the store counters.

"Will the Young Master be paying with paper notes or Aether Stones?"

"Paper notes?"

Sol reiterated before he recalled there was such a currency.

Not many people were able to afford storage rings to carry their wealth, especially mortals who worked for cultivators and got paid in Aether Stones instead of gold. They couldn’t even use them, so paper notes were established to eliminate this problem.

Though only certain establishments took paper notes, you wouldn’t find them in a transaction between two people on the road. In that case, one had to go to the buildings designated to exchange paper notes for Aether Stones.

As for who owned and operated those buildings, of course, it was the Holy Sects and Great Clans.

"I’ll pay with Aether Stones."

Sol said, and the attendant smiled and nodded.

"With the white dress and male cultivation robes, as well as the three cultivation robes, and the battle robes, the total would be eight million high-grade Aether Stones and eighty million mid-grade Aether Stones."

Sol nodded.

The matching set he got for Mar-Yu and himself along with the battle robes for Seong-woo came up to eight million high-grade Aether Stones. The white dress and male cultivation robes in the set were three million each.

Usually, during transactions like this, when the mid-grade Aether Stones reach one hundred million, the buyer would convert the mid-grade Aether Stones to high-grade Aether Stones just for convenience’s sake.

However, this wasn’t a rule, it was more like a tacit understanding between buyer and seller. No one would call you out for not converting, but among the truly wealthy you would be looked down upon for either being too difficult or too poor.

Usually if one could take out a hundred million mid-grade Aether Stones, they should have plenty of high-grade Aether Stones in their possessions.

Smiling, Sol decided to convert the mid-grade Aether Stones into high-grade Aether Stones. Taking out a storage bag and placing it on the counter, Sol said

"I only have high-grade Aether Stones on me so I’ll just pay using that. Don’t worry about the change, you can keep it."

The female attendant picked up the storage bag and looked inside. There was obviously more than twenty-four million high-grade Aether Stones in here for the items.

She couldn’t help but be moved. This young man had treated the eighty million mid-grade Aether Stones as a hundred million while converting it. There was an additional four million high-grade Aether Stones in here!

Heart racing, the female attendant looked at Sol with a bright smile and she didn’t hesitate to bring out a storage bag containing the purchased items.

That four million high-grade Aether Stones was going directly into her pocket as a tip! How can she not be overjoyed?

She even came around the counter to see Sol and the others off.

"Young Master and the Young Miss is always welcome to shop here again. Our Azure Dragon Palace will be eagerly awaiting your return in the future!"

The female attendant said with a bow as Sol and the others left.

Only after they exited the store did the female attendant raise her head.

Watching the mountain of wealth leaving, she couldn’t help but feel slightly regretful for failing to make them stay and purchase more items. She was just about to turn and go back to attend the store, but she suddenly overheard something.

"Where do you want to go next?"

"I’d like to go look at some shoes."

"Okay let’s go, I think I saw a store that’s not too far away."

The female attendant’s eyes lit up, and she immediately took out a jade slip before whispering a few words into it.

After placing it back into her sleeve, she smiled and turned in the direction of the entrance only to see that poor fellow staring straight at her.

Woo-seong was giving the female attendant a displeased look since she had completely ignored him until the very end.

The female attendant scowled and muttered something under her breath as she turned and entered the store.

Woo-seong wasn’t able to hear her, but he was quite good at reading lips, and his face immediately darkened when he read hers just now.

The female attendant had actually cursed him by calling him a poor bastard.

Woo-seong ground his teeth, and the thought of going back into the store to confront that woman appeared in his mind. However, he ultimately stifled his discontent and stomped off to catch up to Sol and Mar-Yue.

Nevertheless, he wouldn’t forget this humiliation. He wouldn’t forget anyone who looked down on him when he was at his lowest. After he established his Sect’s former glory and even surpassed it, he wanted to see those people’s faces when he appeared in front of them again.

However, Woo-seong’s thoughts soon went back to the female attendants’ actions from before.

Her head was turned to the side so he wasn’t able to make out her lips clearly, but he could have sworn she said something along the lines of, ’new customers,’ ’The Heavenly Dragon of Jianghu,’ and ’opportunity.’

Woo-seong’s face turned serious as suspicion rose in his heart.
