The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 456- Come Closer And I’ll Tell You
Chapter 456: Chapter 456- Come Closer And I’ll Tell You
Sol soon went into his thoughts. Now he had to think of a way to salvage this situation.
It wasn’t that difficult, he just needed to stop calling this event a taste test.
’But haven’t news already spread that I’m holding a taste test? To call it something different now would make me look suspicious of trying to con my fellow disciples.’
Well, that’s what he was trying to do, but not in this way!
’I just need a few people to drink my wine and get them to recommend it to other disciples to start a chain reaction.’
Just as Sol thought of this idea, a voice drew him out of his thoughts.
"Senior Brother Sol!"
Sol looked up and was pleasantly surprised to see two familiar faces. No, what he saw were two solutions to his problem.
The youth who just spoke was the freckled Arwin. The burly youth walking next to him was En-ho. These youths were two of the three disciples who had challenged Sol back in the Martial Hall Pagoda for a few million mid-grade Aether Stones.
"Greetings Senior Brother Sol."
En-ho greeted Sol as well as he and Arwin approached the table.
Arwin suddenly saw Cian off to the side and was momentarily taken aback. After a bit of hesitation, he did an unfamiliar greeting by clasping his palms together.
"Well met, Divine Son Cian."
Cian smiled and nodded in acknowledgment to Arwin’s greetings.
Afterward, Arwin turned to Sol and said excitedly.
"Senior Brother Sol, I’m glad I was able to meet you once again. Brother En-ho and I along with Sister Bai-yin were always hoping we could meet you again, but we never got the chance until we board the ship. However, we never imagined we’d meet you like this, Sister Bai-yin was just with us, but she returned to her room to cultivate."
Sol propped his chin up with his palm before he smiled and said.
"It’s always good to see acquaintances. How has your cultivation been progressing?"
Before Arwin could speak, En-ho shoved him to the side and said.
"Brother Sol, I’m only a step away from entering the Spiritual Realm, I’ve even managed to open a few acupoints in my torso!"
"Oh, that’s indeed impressive, not many people can claim to have open acupoints in their torso and enter the realm of a 3rd level Warrior, but you have."
En-ho’s back seemed to straighten a bit more when he heard Sol’s praise.
Sol then turned to Arwin who was glaring at En-ho and asked.
"How about you Little Arwin, how has your cultivation been?"
Arwin perked up and he hurriedly answered.
"Senior Brother Sol, I’ve already reached the peak of the Beginner-level Paladin Warrior and I’m not too far away from the Master level!"
"I’m not too familiar with the Western Continent’s cultivation systems as yet, but just going by correlation with our cultivation system your progress must be outstanding, especially considering your age."
After Sol said that Cian suddenly chimed in.
"Indeed, his talents are at the forefront of the Ga-Mon Church. Have you learned any Sword Arts yet?"
Arwin’s expression turned slightly downcast before he shook his head and said.
"I applied for a Beginner-level Sword Art at the Church before coming to the Eastern Continent, but I was rejected."
Cian brows came together into a frown when he heard that. As if he had been reminded of some unpleasant things, he snorted and said.
"To think they would stifle your talents by not allowing you to learn a simple Beginner-level Sword Art. You’re already on the verge of becoming a Master. The younger members of the affluent Families in the Ga-Mon Church with a cultivation base at your age have already learned several Beginner-level Sword Arts and would have started on Master-level ones already. If you were in the Ga-On Church I would have vehemently argued on your behalf, it’s simply too ridiculous to what extent those Families would go to keep their power."
Arwin scratched the back of his head and said with a forced smile.
"Thank you, Senior Brother Cian, but it can’t be helped."
Looking at Arwin’s forced smile, Cian didn’t want to make things difficult for him so he could only sigh and stop talking about this matter.
Sol watched this exchange silently before smiling and asking.
"Are you guys willing to try my wine? Arwin, you might not be able to drink the wine I brewed that has elemental attributes since it conflicts with your Holy Energy, but I brew some wine without elemental attributes so you should be able to drink them just fine."
As Sol said this, he picked up a specific jar of wine and poured some into a cup.
"I... Ah, Brother Sol, I-"
En-ho suddenly showed a hesitant expression and wanted to politely refuse, but Arwin immediately picked up the cup.
"I’ll try Senior Brother Sol’s wine!"
After yelling that, Arwin then put the cup to his lips and down the entire thing in one go.
En-ho seeing this had his face stiffen. However, the reaction he was expecting from Arwin didn’t come. Instead, Arwin’s eyes lit up, and he cried out.
"Great wine! Brother Sol, did you really make this? It’s better than the ones I had back home."
"Haha, then have some more."
Sol said with a laugh as he poured Arwin more wine.
En-ho seeing this, hesitated for a brief moment, but eventually asked Sol for some of the wine as well. After tasting the wine, En-ho who had initially planned on taking a small sip found himself downing the whole thing. Afterward, he smacked his lips together to savor the taste. Arwin wasn’t exaggerating, the wine was of an extremely high quality.
En-ho couldn’t help but wonder how regretful he would have been if he had actually refused Sol’s offer.
Sol slid over two jars of wine to the two youths and said with a warm smile still on his face.
"I’ll give you two of these jars of wine if you can do something for me."
En-ho and Arwin paused, it must be important if Sol was willing to exchange these two precious wine jars for requesting this task of them. Both youths became solemn before Arwin asked.
"Senior Brother Sol, what is it that you need us to do?"
Seeing how serious the two youths had become, Sol waved his hand dismissively and said.
"Ah, it’s nothing much, come closer and I’ll tell you."
En-ho and Arwin hearing this, curiously leaned over the table to have Sol whisper something in their ears. As they attentively listened to Sol’s request, both youths immediately had embarrassed expressions appear on their faces.
After some time, Sol leaned back and asked with a smile.
"Do you think you guys can do that for me?"
En-ho and Arwin glanced at each other for a moment before turning to Sol and simultaneously nodding. However, despite their readily agreement, a bit of reluctance could be seen on their faces.
