The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 463- Plan Going Up In Smoke
Chapter 463: Chapter 463- Plan Going Up In Smoke
If anyone was up to date with recent news, they would have known that Ushi had joined the Alchemy Pavilion and was rumored to be close with Yoon-jae as he would always follow him around. Perhaps if the Elder had known this, he would have been more cautious in targeting Sol and the Alchemy Pavilion so publicly.
’Not only is this brat connected to the Barbarian Race’s Princess Yue and Prince Mar-Dule, but now I discovered he has a relationship with the Young Master of the Miura Clan. How is he connected to so many influential youngsters? Does his mysterious background play a part in this? Or could he be the son or the disciple of some old monster?’
The Elder gritted his teeth. He was already riding the tiger; how can he jump off now?
"Child, as the Elder in charge of escorting disciples to the Land of Shadow, it is my responsibility to ensure you all get there safely. If a Spirit Beast were to attack now, how prepared would you all be if you’re all intoxicated? I will confiscate these wine jars, afterward you all should return to your rooms to rest for the night."
The Elder was about to collect Sol’s wine jars; however, a voice suddenly interrupted him.
"Stop!"
Yoon-jae paused creating ice cups before he stood up. Using his hand, he cracked his neck to get rid of the numbness as he walked over to the Elder.
"Senior, I can’t ignore that you’ve just accused my Master of a grave crime like poisoning disciples of the Academy to gain an upper hand in the Tournament. I hope you’ll be able to handle the consequence of saying something so outlandish in front of everyone hear if it’s proven to be untrue."
Yoon-jae came around the table and stopped in front of the Elder before looking directly into his eyes. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
The Elder’s face was expressionless, but internally his heart grew uneasy. He had initially intended to let the matter pass with his words just now, but this brat refuse to let it go. He realized he was too hasty with his words when he spoke, even though his cultivation far surpassed these brats, as well as the fact that he was an Elder of the Academy and an Outer Elder of the Jeagal Clan, those things did not matter as their influence was far greater than his own. He had also neglected this boy’s presence here when he was the only disciple of the Alchemy Headmaster.
’I really was too rash, this boy has too many protective shields around him. What I should have done was isolate him from these people before targeting him. I even had an entire month to come up with various methods to do this, but at last...’
The Elder sighed regretfully inwardly. However, he was still unwilling to be pressured by a bunch of children. With his face still expressionless he said.
"Whether or not my words will lead to any consequence is not for you to determine. As the Elder in charge of the disciples on this ship’s safety, I will not tolerate anyone who jeopardizes this. And the fact remains that disciple Solovin did not request permission to hold this gathering. Confiscating these wine jars is within my authority. Unless you want to interfere. But be warned that challenging the authority of an Elder of the Academy is going against the Academy rules. I will have the grounds to add further punishment to both disciple Solovin as well as you and everyone here."
Yoon-jae frowned slightly. Just like that this old man had managed to weasel his way out of the hole he dug for himself. Truly one cannot beat these sly old farts from the older generation.
Yoon-jae decided to drop the matter with his Master and said.
"As a Head Disciple of the Alchemy Pavilion, I have the same authority as an official Elder, so I approve of Sol’s actions."
"Same here!"
Mar-Dule added from the back, however, the Elder shook his head.
"Your authority is only within the confines of your Pavilion; how can you make such decisions on your own? I have spoken enough; I will confiscate the wine jars as well as the others you have in your storage ring so you will not think to try this stunt again."
The Elder got ready to truly take Sol’s wine jars this time. As for why he was so insistent on taking them, he had not given up on his initial plan to get this brat and the Alchemy Pavilion kicked out of the Tournament. As long as he had these wine jars, he had plenty of ways to make this go his way.
The Elder waved his hand over the table and collected the wine jars. However, when he was about to demand Sol hand over his storage ring, a voice echoed out stopping him once again.
"Elder Dongzhu, surely what disciple Solovin is doing isn’t too excessive?"
All the disciples’ eyes turned in the direction of the voice. It came from a middle-aged man who looked to be in his late fifties, that suddenly appeared in front of them. He rubbed his beard which had a few gray strands within it as he approached the table where Sol and the others were gathered.
When the Elder saw this person, he frowned and asked.
"Elder Linhu, I thought we agreed I’d supervise the students for the first half of the month and you the second half, why have you exited seclusion?"
The middle-aged man whose name was Elder Linhu, smiled and said.
"I was so bored of cultivating that I came out to drink some wine and see what these disciples were up to, but to my surprise, the disciples I’ve come to watch had shared my sentiments and started drinking before me, ha-ha."
Elder Dongzhu frowned deeply when he heard that. It was obviously a lie; someone must have alerted him of what was happening and he came out of seclusion to interfere with him.
"Elder Dongzhu, I approve of disciples Solovin’s actions. Why not let these disciples relax while we old men watch from the side? You just confiscated so many wine jars, don’t tell me you were secretly planning on drinking them all by yourself?"
Elder Dongzhu glared at Elder Linhu who was smiling at him. Without these wine jars, his plan was all but smoke now.
