The Little Ancestor Teaches You How To Live-Chapter 1110: Demi Immortal Master Ye
Chapter 1110: Chapter 1110: Demi Immortal Master Ye
"Please have Master Ye come in."
The Lu Family’s grand elder instructed the servant to invite the esteemed guest inside and then had Butler Zhang take Lu Zhanyu upstairs to rest.
"I’d like to meet him."
Lu Zhanyu did not wish to go upstairs. Instead, he wanted to stay and meet this Demi Immortal.
"Young Zhanyu, do you have questions for Master Ye?" the grand elder asked anxiously.
"Grandfather, didn’t you say that after I fell into a coma, even the famous Divine Doctor Master Shuyi couldn’t cure me, and it was Master Ye who woke me up?"
"Yes, indeed, thanks to Master Ye."
"Then I should thank him in person," said Lu Zhanyu.
"That’s good. Indeed, you should thank him face to face."
Master Ye was an elusive figure; the day he woke up the grandson, he did not stay for a moment, leaving before they could come to their senses and voice their gratitude.
The grand elder and Lu Zhanyu waited together in the living room. Shortly after, the young Master Ye was brought in.
This was Lu Zhanyu’s first encounter with Master Ye in person.
The man was dressed in plain white robes, with a tall, slender figure and a handsome face, appearing to be only in his early twenties, much younger than what Lu Zhanyu had anticipated.
At the grand elder’s warm invitation, Master Ye took a seat, his gaze falling on Lu Zhanyu, who was sitting directly opposite him.
"Young Master Lu seems puzzled about my age," said Master Ye, smiling, his eyes twinkling as if they had the ability to see through a person.
"You look younger than I expected," Lu Zhanyu stated.
"Perhaps I merely appear young."
"Do you want people to think you possess the elixir of youth as a way to play up your role as a Demi Immortal?" Lu Zhanyu countered.
"I have never claimed to be a Demi Immortal. I am but an ordinary person who knows a little about deceiving and trickery."
Master Ye’s face remained adorned with a faint smile. Faced with Lu Zhanyu’s skepticism, he did not get angry but instead exuded benevolence and kindness.
"Please don’t mind him, Master Ye, my grandson is merely a bit suspicious of you," the grand elder interjected, his tone polite and gracious.
So far, not many had earned such high regard from him, apart from Old Yang and the two elders of the Qin Family, and now, the man before them.
"No, no matter how he speaks to me, I won’t mind. He has the right," replied Master Ye.
Was this an attempt to curry favor with the Lu Family?
Since when did the usually aloof Master Ye start flattering the wealthy and powerful?
The grand elder did not ponder this question any further and instead asked Master Ye, "May I know the reason for your visit today?"
"I am here to resolve Young Master Lu’s doubts," replied Master Ye, his gaze returning to Lu Zhanyu as he spoke.
"I believe Young Master Lu has some questions for me," said Master Ye, his tone confident.
Lu Zhanyu’s slightly youthful brows furrowed.
Right before the servant announced this man’s arrival, his mind had been filled with certain questions, indeed related to this man.
But he had mentioned these thoughts to no one, not even his grandfather or Old Zhang.
Without showing any sign of surprise, Lu Zhanyu said calmly, "You think I have questions I would want to ask you?"
"About why an ordinary fortune-teller like me could wake someone even the Divine Doctor couldn’t cure, and why, after you woke up, you do not remember the events of the past half-year in Huacheng."
Master Ye responded with an air and tone brimming with confidence.
