Chapter 624: The only man

"Is there a possibility for war?" Elliana asked, her words catching King Eros by surprise.

"What do you mean, baby?" King Eros, who was looking at the ancient book that Elliana had been reading to learn new spells and modify them according to her powers, immediately turned to the girl.

"I... " Elliana took a deep breath before pressing her lips into a thin line, unsure of how to put what she had in mind.

King Eros immediately understood the dilemma in his daughter’s mind, and he closed the book before walking to her.

He held her hand as he sat on the boss’s chair beside the bed.

"Tell me what it is. You don’t need to give me some kind of filtered explanation of what you are thinking. Speak your mind, baby. I am your dad. You will have my support nonetheless," King Eros said.

Elliana took a deep breath before she tightened her hold on her father’s hand.

It was a thought that had been going on inside her head for the last two hours. She knew it was wrong of her to think like that, but she felt that it was the only way they could handle this situation.

In fact, it was the only way they could handle all the situations arising around them.

It was a one-shot solution, and though it was something big, she realized she needed to get over this fear if she wanted to achieve something big.

After all, at the end of the day, it was for the peace of both the vampire and witch kingdoms.

"I want to challenge Azrael for a war, Dad," Elliana said, raising her gaze to meet her father’s slightly surprised ones.

"A war?" He asked, and she nodded her head.

"These small incidents and fights are wearing us off again and again. We don’t get peace for even a day these days. It’s something one after the other. Either I am busy handling some kind of witchcraft, fighting Azrael or her witches, or Mr. Marino is busy fighting the humans or his brother who is supported by both humans and witches. I want to put an end to this for once and all," Elliana said.

King Eros understood what his daughter was saying. Everyone was suffering around them because of those sneaky attacks, and it was becoming really important to handle those people who were stopping at nothing to hurt these two.

He looked at his daughter, who looked still unsure about what she was saying.

He didn’t blame her.

A war wasn’t something that was fought single-handedly.

"Since you have already thought about this, what is holding you back?" King Eros asked Elliana, caressing her hair as he saw her teary eyes, knowing all too well how much toll it was taking on her.

"I don’t want anyone to get hurt," Elliana bit her bottom lip, her voice coming out in a whisper.

Eros sighed.

She was still a little kid.

Even after all the bloodshed she has seen so far and how many times she almost landed herself in a fatal situation, she was still thinking about others. He sighed.

It looks like they will have to take this decision on her behalf, and it wasn’t something that he wanted to decide himself and give his daughter some kind of fake hope either.

"Are you afraid of who will stand on our side?" King Eros asked.

Elliana gulped before nodding softly.

Azrael had too many people she could use to act against Elliana and Sebastian because she didn’t care about anyone’s life, and on the other hand, Elliana hardly believed they had enough people who would want to stand in front of a witch as powerful as Azrael.

"You don’t worry about that. It was a tough day for you. How about you rest for now? Let things flow naturally. I will talk to your mom and husband about this matter, okay? Don’t worry too much about things," King Eros said before he helped her inside the blanket so she could sleep.

He sat on the boss chair by the balcony, closing his eyes momentarily.

His heart was in turmoil too. He spent Elliana’s entire life span in that maze created by Arizona, and now that he was back and should’ve used his entire time to give his daughter all the fatherly love she deserved from him, they were stuck in this kind of problem.

King Eros sighed, his thoughts going to Ari. He didn’t dare to mention and ask about the girl at that time because he was afraid he would hurt Azura more than she already was.

However, if Ari was really Arizona’s daughter that she hid for 18 long years, there was no way she didn’t have any special powers locked inside of her.

Arizona was a cunning woman. That was the sole reason why he didn’t go to any other witch when he needed help to save his daughter.

He knew Arizona would be the only one capable of thinking about all the evil means to get what she wanted because though she was a white witch Queen, he had seen her manipulative powers many times when he had met witches who were manipulated by her words.

And keeping everything in mind, he highly doubted that the cunning witch left her daughter just like that. She must’ve taken some kind of preventive measures, and by preventive measures, he knew she must’ve locked some kind of powers inside Ari too.

If they could only find out about Ari’s hidden powers and get the girl to share her hidden Magna with Elliana, they might really be able to save their daughter and once her tenth lock comes undone, she would really become a force not to reckon with.

King Eros looked at his daughter, who was lying with her eyes closed.

She wasn’t asleep. He could feel her restlessness even though she was trying her best to hide it.

He sighed. Things were easier said than done. Azrael still had Arizona in her grip.

If there was a way they could find out more about where she has hidden Arizona and get her on their side, things would become much easier.

The only person who might have a hint and can help them was...

King Eros took a deep breath. He didn’t want to call that one man out of everyone, but it looked like he was left with no choice.

He was ready to do anything for his daughter, for his baby.

Without wasting a second, he closed his eyes and chanted the spell, the forbidden and one of a kind of spell that was the only one that could be used to contact the man.

He waited to hear a reply from the other side, hoping the man would keep the past aside and for once help him.

In the Northernmost lands, a man sat on one of the icy stones as he meditated, collecting the Magna at the speed of one year of a normal witch’s Magna collection every minute.

In front of him, three more men, his disciples, sat as they collected magna too, though slower than their boss.

However, as soon as they saw the black smoke in the middle of the circle that appeared like a black evil aura in the purest room, they looked at their boss.

It wasn’t hard for them to know what was happening. Someone was calling their boss and seeking his presence.

And for someone to be able to call them while they were in the middle of the meditation of collecting Magna, which they do for 300 days every year, that person undoubtedly had the chanting spell provided by none other than their boss.

They looked at each other, contemplating the right time to call their boss.

Every minute was important for witches like their boss who was akin to the supreme power. And since he was the supreme power, he isolated himself from all the world’s desires and Kingdom politics, not including himself in any kind of Clan either.

One of the subordinates nodded at the other one before they placed their hands on the ground in front of them to gently direct the black smoke towards their boss.

It was better he woke up himself rather than them interrupting him.

After that, they meticulously shifted from in front of him and walked to some distance.

It has been 286 days since he sat in this position and closed his eyes, thus they didn’t know what kind of energy he would release when he opened his eyes again. Usually, the aura and glow of his first vision after meditation are powerful enough to slice an entire mountain.

"Do it," the man said, and the other subordinate immediately placed the glass in front of their boss’s face just to protect the environment around them when they saw the movement in his fingers.

As soon as the man opened his eyes, the glass broke into a million tiny shards, making him blink his eyes immediately when he recognized the black aura that reached him.

"Sir, someone called -" The man started, but their leader raised his hand, closing his eyes.

He didn’t need anyone to tell him who this person was.

The person who called him and disturbed him this time was someone he would let him disturb all his life.

It was his son calling him.
