The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 675: Was he being used?
Chapter 675: Was he being used?
Sebastian opened his eyes after some time, feeling surprised that he actually fell into such a deep slumber.
Something like this happened after such a long time that he didn’t even remember the last time he slept like this.
He looked at the girl who was whimpering in his arms and noticed how his hands were wrapped around her, almost hugging her tight to his chest. He had his hands wrapped so tight that it looked like he wanted to squeeze her or something.
Heat crept up his neck when he saw his own actions and cleared his throat.
It was a good thing he was the first one to wake up or how he would have been able to face the girl?
Sebastian looked at the girl, who though whimpering in between didn’t look like she was uncomfortable in his embrace and didn’t know if it was okay to remove his hands from around her.
He took a deep breath and tried to sit straight but she brought up her hands that were lying on his biceps and hugged him. Like she was afraid of the ground under her slipping away.
She was really treating him like a mattress, wasn’t she? He felt like massaging his forehead as he looked around, wondering why his team was not looking for them already.
Were they really that nonchalant about their King who fell down the cliff? The thought made Sebastian sigh again.
They were too trusting of him. Could they really act like his life was in danger too? They were too comfortable with the idea of how their king was capable of fighting everything and coming out of every situation by himself.
"I don’t remember it, Nath. I don’t fucking remember my life. What am I supposed to do? I hate myself," Elliana whispered, and a drop of tear fell on Sebastian’s chest, his attention snapping to the girl in his arms.
He looked at her as she started to whisper incoherent words that were hard to decipher but clearly showed her distress.
What did she mean she didn’t remember her life? Was she suffering from amnesia? That could be the case.
This Nath guy, could it be that he was her boyfriend or something like that and she didn’t remember him either? Was she in any relationship?
And why the hell was it making him angry?
"Hey, you are alright. No harm is coming towards you," Sebastian said, his voice a bit louder than he intended.
He blinked his eyes, feeling weird. Why were his eyes tearing up hearing about her pain?
What the hell was really happening?
’You say you don’t know any magic? But from the moment you have entered my life, everything has distorted. All the things I believed about myself seem fake now. What exactly is going on? What kind of voodoo magic are you doing to me?’ Sebastian asked the girl, rubbing her cheeks with the back of his knuckles, wiping her tears.
He kept looking at her, his heart clenching painfully when he saw another drop of tear rolling down the corner of her eyes.
"Do you think I am a burden too? What happened to me?" Elliana whispered again and Sebastian felt another wave of pain in his heart.
Left with no choice, he pulled her close and hugged her even tighter.
As if the change in their position suddenly filled her with discomfort, she moaned.
He tensed when she moved.
She just didn’t move because she was waking up from her slumber. She moved to get more comfortable on him and her body rubbed on his southern regions, her knees rubbing on his thighs that made him have the kind of thoughts he didn’t really want to have with a sleeping cunning witch on top of him.
Feeling his body react again, he massaged his forehead and adjusted her a little so she would stop moving on top of him so much.
"This stupid girl, I swear, she is designed to anger people," Sebastian thought out loud.
He wanted to scold her for not being ladylike at all and trying to act so cozy to a man even when she knew she was alone with him.
Then again, what if she was sleeping so peacefully beside him because she trusted him as the king of the vampire kingdom?
Stuck between his duty to take her back because everyone must be worrying about them and how she probably needed comfort at the moment, Sebastian took a deep breath, biting the inside of his cheeks.
"Don’t blame me when you open your eyes later. This is what you asked me to do. And even if you were not verbal about it, your body and tears are screaming at me to do it," He said before he pulled her close and stood from his place.
Like a mother pampering her baby, he patted her back softly as he walked around the fire, hoping it would keep her warm and calm at the same time.
’I can’t believe you are doing this,’ Sebastian’s beast commented at him and he squared his jaws.
’You are not alone. I can’t believe that I am doing this. But am I left with any choice? I don’t want a woman to cry on my watch and -’
’Well, you definitely didn’t mind women crying around you before today,’ His beast interrupted before he could give an excuse Sebastian took a deep breath before looking down at the woman who stopped whimpering and her tears were starting to dry up.
"I think she is not just a normal witch. She is from some forbidden islands and has come here to make me lose my head," Sebastian glared at the woman in his arms who shuffled closer to his chest, placing her lips back on his skin, making him want to groan loudly.
What the hell was real? This wasn’t what he signed up for when he was saving this girl earlier.
But wait. Does that mean if it had been anyone else other than him who would’ve saved her, she would have acted like this with him too?
As soon as Sebastian thought about the possibility, a scowl appeared on his face and he wasn’t liking the situation anymore.
Why was it looking like he was being used by this woman? And he was letting her use him just as she pleased?
"This damn woman!" Sebastian loosened his grip, ready to drop her, but thinking that she was a witch with no powers and might get hurt terribly, he glared at her sleeping form that was looking too cute at the moment and went around the fire before sitting down angrily like an annoyed child.
I will surely take revenge for this. He told himself as he looked at the now sleeping woman.
