Chapter 677: Storm

Sebastian gulped a mouthful of water in utter amazement as he didn’t expect the petite girl to actually hit him, that to be with this kind of power.

Ready to take his revenge because getting wet like this was surely irritating to him, he swam quickly to the surface before looking around frantically.

However, the girl was not there.

He furrowed his brows and swam towards the edge.

Where did she go?

"Miss Elliana!" Sebastian shouted when he looked into the cave and didn’t find her there either.

Where could she have gone? He wondered.

Wait. She said she couldn’t do anything magic but she was able to light that fire just fine. What were the chances that she teleported herself? Sebastian growled in anger, thinking he was indeed played by that witch.

Elliana, you cunning little witch. You just wait and watch what I will do to you when we meet again. Sebastian thought.

At the same time in the Dark Witch’s Kingdom, Nathaniel, who had gone for a meeting with other witches, squinted his brows when he saw the globe on his table glowing a little.

His pupils dilated a little.

This glow...does that mean Elliana used her magic to do something? She was finally using her magic?

A ray of hope lit in his heart and he quickly rubbed the globe, using his magic to see what led to this beautiful event and see if Elliana was alright and she didn’t get into any kind of trouble because of using her magic.

As he was roaming his fingers on the globe, he felt Elliana’s energy before he could see her, and seeing the sad vibes, he immediately became concerned.

What happened? Why was his princess sad?

The scene of the forest where Elliana was walking somewhere all alone immediately appeared on the globe.

Nathaniel narrowed his brows. What was she doing in a forest all alone?

He tapped the globe to be able to contact Elliana through the locket she was wearing. He clearly told her to contact him through the locket if she was sad or feeling uncomfortable in either way. Why didn’t she do it?

"Elliana, my princess," Nathaniel said, and Elliana, who was walking further inside the forest to find a way out of this area after practically running away from the edge of the river because she didn’t want to be caught by the angry Vampire king, looked at her locket with sorrow.

It was a good thing it was raining and she wasn’t actually able to use her powers that made her scent fade out. So until Sebastian was following her for real, he wouldn’t know where she went.

Then again, she was sure he wouldn’t follow her. He was a bully and selfish man just like that.

"Nathaniel," Elliana whispered, trying her best to make her voice appear as calm as possible.

"What happened, my princess?" Nathaniel asked her.

As protective as he was about her, he didn’t want to just go there and act out of instinct. If his stepmother found out that he went to meet her, she would immediately think that the vampires bullied her and would try everything in her power to run there and bring her back.

"I don’t like this place, Nathaniel. The people here are good, but -" Elliana sniffed and Nathaniel waited for her to answer.

However, when she didn’t say anything and sniffed again, he couldn’t control himself anymore and used his teleportation technique to reach where she was.

As soon as he saw her drenched self and teary eyes, his heart softened as it ached for his sister.

She was already suffering from so many things because of her lack of power and her constant struggle with those vague voices and memories that belonged to herself but she couldn’t recognize them at all.

Must she suffer bullying here too? He thought things would be alright if she came here, but if she was going to cry like this, maybe his stepmother was right about not sending her here.

"Nath, you tell me. Do you think I am a characterless woman who throws herself at men? That I don’t know any boundaries?" Elliana asked.

Nathaniel narrowed his eyes.

"Who said that to you?" He asked, not liking the words at all.

"Does that matter? I don’t want to become the reason behind the fight between the two species after the amending and peace took so many years," Elliana said.

She looked at her hands, feeling extremely sad.

Usually, she always has a fitting reply for everyone and doesn’t allow anyone to look down upon her, but she doesn’t even know why Mr. Sebastian’s words hurt her so much.

His opinion shouldn’t even matter because he wasn’t a relevant person in her life, but the way her heart ached, how was she supposed to explain this feeling?

She thought he was a good man. She really thought he was because of the way he jumped into the cliff to save her, not even caring about his wounds.

She thought she misjudged him, but it looked like all of that was a facade. He was rude and egoistic just like that.

"Do you want to come back to the witch kingdom?" Nathaniel asked before he sat on a large rock and pulled her in for a comforting brotherly hug while he used his powers to stop the rain from pouring over them.

Elliana shook her head. As sad as she was, she wasn’t someone who ran away from her problems.

"There is no need for that. What others would think if they found out I ran away just like that because someone said a few bad things to me? I am not like that, and you very well know that," Elliana said.

Nathaniel nodded his head as he roamed his fingers in her hair to comfort and calm her.

"The chances of meeting that person are really low. I will handle myself," Elliana said to herself and Nathaniel hummed, letting her spout whatever she wanted to calm down.

"No matter what you do or decide, just know that I will always be here with you," Sebastian said and Elliana nodded in understanding.

She wiped her cheeks before looking into his eyes which reminded her of the galaxy.

"Does mom know you are here?" She asked.

Nathaniel’s silence that followed suit was a big enough answer to her and she smiled at him.

"Is she still trying to take me back?" Elliana asked.

Nathaniel tucked her hair behind her ears before shaking his head at her. freewёbnoνel.com

"You don’t need to worry about that. We will handle that matter, okay?" He asked and Elliana nodded her head in understanding.

Nathaniel thought the matter was solved, but who would’ve thought Azrael, who wanted to meet Nathaniel to talk about their meeting, also saw Elliana’s sadness in the globe and rushed to the site?

Seeing her sister’s sad daughter, the one she had started to cherish like her own, Azrael pressed her lips into a thin line.

It looks like these vampires were surely asking for a teaching.

She closed her eyes and without wasting a second, she raised her hand in the sky.

As soon as she did that, thunderclaps echoed in the sky, and the vampires who were trying to look for a way to rescue the two, looked at the sky.

"Why does it look like someone heavenly has been angered?" Melony commented.

Samantha, who was looking down with fear for her new friend, looked at the sky with the umbrella over her head.

She turned to her fiance, pressing her lips into a thin line.

"Are you also thinking what I am thinking?" She asked.

Alcinder looked at her before shrugging.

"How would I know what you are thinking?" He asked and the girl rolled her eyes at him.

He clearly understood her but was deliberately pretending to be dumb.

"Why does it feel like this storm is because of Elliana?"

She sighed before looking at the increasing downpour, everyone’s eyes widening when they felt something hard hitting them.

They looked at the rain hail, the hard ice pebbles like balls hitting them at the speed of light.

The hit was so hard that it was piercing their bodies.

"Quickly! Get into the shed everyone! We need to leave," Vincenzo said.

Alcinder was about to point out how using the ropeway would be bad when they saw Sebastian coming from the other direction.

They immediately beamed in relief. However, when they noticed the absence of Elliana, they immediately rushed to him with furrowed brows.

"Where is she?" Vincenzo asked.

Sebastian glared at him.

"How would I know? The girl disappeared out of the blue. Didn’t she come here?" Sebastian asked.

Samantha felt her heart sinking at his words.

"How could you leave her alone like that, King Sebastian? She is sick. Her body is so fragile because of an accident in the past that made her lose her powers and her memories. She can’t bear such heavy rainfall. What if something happened to her?" Samantha asked.

Sebastian, who was about to rebuke her for disrespecting him when he heard her initial words, froze in his place when he heard her last sentence.

What did she say?

She was indeed moaning in discomfort when she got wet and then about those memories, the way she got so happy for using fire.... Did he make a mistake?

Sebastian’s eyes widened in realization that he was probably too hasty in deciding and he looked down from the cliff.

"What are you thinking about, sir? It’s too hard. We can’t look for her in this weather. Let the storm calm down and we will -" Alcinder said, but before he could complete his sentence, Sebastian glared at him.

"She is there all alone because of my mistake. Do you think I care about this fucking weather?" Sebastian asked and he was about to jump back into the cliff when they heard a swoosh and the storm immediately calmed down, the rain also disappearing.

They saw someone appear at some distance and he wasn’t alone.

He had a girl in his arms.

Sebastian looked at unconscious Elliana and couldn’t help but immediately feel guilty.
