Chapter 976: Chapter 935 The Sun Goes Out

Yan Hao’s consecutive deaths, like a shadow cast over Pang Jian and Muduo’s hearts, made both of them feel heavy and oppressed.

Even the Divine King was unable to break free from the world shaped by his own head, failing to pierce the heavens time after time.

If even Yan Hao could not escape his fixed fate, what could they do?

"Perhaps just living well, not striving to reach the other shore of the Great Tao, is the best choice."

Muduo said with a sigh.

Pang Jian spoke gravely, "If we accept our fate, we will be like ordinary mortals, willing to accept life, ageing, sickness, and death. We cannot avoid natural disasters or man-made calamities. But this is not the life I want. I don’t want to become cannon fodder in the Gods’ games during such a great calamity."

He floated among the stars, still devouring the myriad Divine oddities scattered by Yan Hao’s disintegration, through his connection with the Ruin Domain.

Ancient Divine Scripts that contained the true essence of the sun and blazing fires, and the extremely pure solar essence—all were transformed into forces aiding his progression to Sovereign.

He felt clearly that his realm and cultivation level were rising, and he was faintly touching the barrier to breakthrough.

Yan Hao’s rebirth, refining his body time and again, then exploding and dying, seemed to be for his sake.

He secretly harbored expectations, wondering... "Will there be another Yan Hao?"

His eyes sparkled as he began to search for the life seeds bearing Yan Hao’s mark, desiring the appearance of the next Yan Hao.

"Those ancient Divine Scripts refined by Yan Hao, those Dao of Laws, seem to be compensating for your deficiencies, and also repairing some flaws in the Ruin Domain."

"There is a power higher than you, and higher than Yan Hao, orchestrating everything from the shadows."

"The supreme world will within the Misty Sea!"

Muduo exclaimed softly.

He believed that it was He in the shadows who directed, helping Pang Jian elevate his current realm, to become the Sovereign as quickly as possible.

"Yan Hao told me not to believe it, to break free from it..."

Those words of the Divine King, before he exploded, kept resurfacing in Pang Jian’s mind, reminding him of the old man he had encountered at the Ruins of Fallen Gods.

That old man, Ling Yun, and Yan Hao—all of them were Gods with divine power that reached the heavens, yet none could escape the fate of death.

Only two wills could bind and restrict them: the Misty Sea and the will in the starry sky. All beings, all Gods, were merely their flags, their chips in the struggle.

How to break free from them?

Without becoming Sovereign or Divine King, he might not even have the qualifications to contend with them!

Pang Jian’s thoughts scattered; even before he had ascended to the Dominator Realm, he was considering how to fight against them in the future.

"Pang Jian, Yan Hao has not been reborn."

Seeing him silent, Muduo spoke with eyes filled with fear, "We should perhaps consider those words he said, to prepare for the future."

Muduo, with his heart set on pursuing the way of the Sovereign, felt somewhat disheartened, feeling that even the Dominator Realm had no meaning.

Yan Hao, a Divine King, died in His presence time after time, within the world made from his own head.

If even the Divine King’s destiny is such, why bother deluding himself over an even stronger realm?

...

Outer Star River.

"The sun has gone out."

Fu Ya murmured softly.

His gigantic Divine Body stood upon the Hall of Gods, surrounded by numerous "Rivers of Wisdom," holding a staff, pagoda, and divine beads, actively triggering the mighty power of the Hall of Gods.

The encroaching dark Divine Aura was crushed by the Divine Power of the Hall of Gods, bringing brightness to its vicinity.

His unique God’s Domain transformed into a harmonious, wondrous world as many creatures from diverse races chanted His true name, offering up the Power of Faith to Him.

In each ancient Divine Country, within the cities, all His Divine Statues glowed.

Countless points of unique radiance traveled from various Divine Countries to Him, making His Divine Body grow larger and larger, gradually surpassing the Hall of Gods, as if the most ancient and huge God Spirit between heaven and earth.

In this state, He still paid attention to the anomalies of the sun.

He saw the pure solar essence transform into drops of Divine Script falling into the Misty Sea, recognized the origin of those Scripts, and knew they must be related to the fallen Yan Hao.

Only when the sun extinguished, no longer radiating light, did He show a hint of unease.

"Luo, in the sea of Mysterious Fog below, a new Sovereign may be born."

His gaze settled on the massive ball of light, saw the five Luo Hongyans merge into one, leaving only the one in the bright red dress, still standing out of place.

The six Luo Hongyans now became two.

Luo Hongyan, in white, wore an expression of detached coldness, while the one in red frowned in contemplation.

Two Luo Hongyans, one large and one small, stood side by side in the intense light source, not communicating with each other.

Facing Fu Ya’s words, neither of the Luo Hongyans responded; their eyes seemed to see only each other, as they gambled with incomprehensible secret skills.

The darkness continued to crazily infect the light source.

But with Fu Ya’s help, most of the dark Divine Aura was diminished, preventing the light source enveloping the two Luo Hongyans from being shattered by the darkness.

"In the past, suns have been destroyed due to divine wars."

After a moment, Luo Hongyan in white spoke indifferently, "There’s nothing to fear. Even if a Sovereign truly appears in the Mysterious Fog Sea, it wouldn’t change anything."

"As long as he bears the God Status, he will be restricted by the one behind us. It is so for him, and the same goes for you!"

As she uttered these last words, the gaze of Luo Hongyan in white fell upon the gracefully moving Black Phoenix.

"Did you choose to be reborn in a body of the Human Race and reach the peak of power through another path, just to avoid being controlled by it at the crucial moment?"

"But you, in the form of the Black Phoenix, can’t escape it."

"It’s still not the moment, not yet time for the decisive battle that will determine the outcome."

Amidst the words of Luo Hongyan in white, the body of the other Luo Hongyan, clad in bright red, began to fade, as if transitioning from a solid to an ethereal state.

Fu Ya’s eyes brightened: "You’ve already begun the cut!"

...

Purgatory.

"Wooo!"

"Roar!"

Old Black Turtle and beings like the Black Dragon King roared furiously in different worlds, using the Supernatural Ability of this world to break into the realm of the High Gods.

All Demon Gods who had been resurrected with the Realm God Card were exceedingly excited, seeing the hope for advancement.

"The Demon Gods seem to be undergoing a transformation due to that Black Phoenix."

Bai Zi, Fahua, Xinghuan, and Thunder God were below the "Heaven Forbidden" layer, keeping an eye on Pang Jian’s Primordial Spirit Body while observing the conditions in various parts of Purgatory.

At their level, releasing their consciousness to perceive all directions, they could easily sense any unusual disturbances.

When several Demon Gods began to advance towards the High God level by harnessing the power from the Heavenly Tribulation Pillars below, it caught their attention and they were inwardly astonished.

Yet they were still surprised because the progress of those Demon Gods was much faster than they had expected.

Thunder God suddenly exclaimed, "It seems like there’s no sun in the sky."

It was daytime, and the area around the Hall of Gods in the sky was pitch black with huge bursts of light flaring up, creating holes in the darkness.

However, these holes were quickly filled again by the darkness.

In that darkness, the Hall of Gods sometimes flashed brightly, bright enough for everyone to see.

That battle only occupied part of the Outer Star River, and the stars, the moon, and the sun farther away were not yet completely engulfed by darkness, still visible to the people of the Purgatory World.

But now, even though it was daytime, the sky had become extremely gloomy.

The sun was still there but it wasn’t releasing its astonishing light, causing many "prison" worlds, including Purgatory, to hardly see the sun.

Thunder God saw this and made a note of the sun’s lack of light, thus speaking up as a reminder.

"It seems like some force has absorbed the sun’s flames, causing the sun to be dim," Original Demon interjected, his morose gaze falling on Pang Jian above in the "Heaven Forbidden" layer. "It’s Pang Jian! The other Pang Jian!"

With this statement, the attention of all beings in Purgatory fell upon Pang Jian.

In the "Heaven Forbidden" layer was Pang Jian’s Primordial Spirit, not his true body.

Yet, within this Primordial Spirit Body, ancient Divine Scripts began to appear in the depths of his eyes, shining like the sun.

Gradually, Pang Jian’s Primordial Spirit Body shone with light, transforming into a blazing sun, hovering in the "Heaven Forbidden" layer, illuminating the Purgatory World in place of the sun.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

Soon after, countless illusory Fierce Suns started to emerge behind Pang Jian’s Primordial Spirit.

"The Fierce Suns of the Ruin Domain!"

"The secret lineage of Divine King Yan Hao!"

"Nine Sun Heaven Strike!"

Fahua, Thunder God, Xinghuan, and Bai Zi who came from the Ruin Domain, upon witnessing the sudden transformation of Pang Jian’s Primordial Spirit, immediately knew Original Demon’s judgment was correct.

The other Pang Jian residing in Purgatory had surely undergone a heaven-shaking change, causing his Primordial Spirit to be elevated as well.
