The Soul System in the Apocalypse-Chapter 535: Taking a Lower Stance

Amon had gotten a lot of trouble in order to be able to go back and look for Diana. That was especially so due to the fact that within the nation that Diana was currently located in, all the members of the other races had been eliminated completely.

It was all due to luck that he had been able to survive until today. Had it not been for the fact that he did not try to confront the humans directly, but instead, he hid whenever he encountered them, he would have already been killed by now.

It might be true that he usually looked down upon the humans as an inferior race, but at this moment, with the power that they possessed, it was definitely impossible for him to be able to look down upon them.

Initially, just like before, when he was heading back to the direction that he could detect that Diana was located in, he was still looking down on the humans. But later on, he managed to see an entire territory that belonged to another race being eliminated by just a single human.

That territory did not stand a chance at all to resist. Even the divine rank expert of that race did not have a chance at all, considering that the divine rank expert was wiped out in just a matter of a few seconds.

It was good that he was observing things from a distance, otherwise, he would have definitely been killed. That was simply because he had seen that after killing the divine rank expert of that particular race, the human went ahead and looked for the members of that race and wiped them all out.

And as he continued moving, he realized that many territories had already been destroyed. And from the traces that he could detect, each and every one of them pointed towards the fact that the particular destroyed territory belonged to the members of the other races.

With that, he was extremely cautious. That was the reason why it had taken him a long time to be able to arrive at his destination. It was just that he had realized that at some point in time, the aura that was on Diana who was of the same race as him would always shift from one direction to another.

It was as if Diana was moving around without stopping, and she was moving at an incredible speed. But of course, he believed that there was definitely somebody that was taking her, considering that she was not even in the legendary rank the last time that they had met.

He arrived in front of a territory. This territory belonged to humans even before the members of the other races had been eliminated. And this was the place that he could detect Diana’s presence.

After taking a deep breath, he immediately headed for the entrance of the territory. He was sure that this was a huge risk that he was taking, but he believed that as long as he did not show any maliciousness, these humans would definitely not attack him.

At the same time, he released his own aura, the one that could only be detected by those of the same race as himself, just to make sure that he informed Diana that he was here.

It might be true that the two of them did not like each other that much, but even then, it was not as if they wanted to kill each other. If Diana detected his presence, he was sure that she would definitely prevent him from getting killed.

At the same time, he hoped that within this territory, there was no human who had already reached the ancient and above rank. Otherwise, it would definitely be impossible for him to be able to get out of here if Diana decided not to help him.

The moment that those that were on top of the walls of the territory realized that there was a figure that was approaching them, they immediately paid attention. But they could not help but be immediately surprised the moment that they realized that it was an elf that was approaching.

"Stop right there! Identify yourself and name the purpose of your visit to this territory!" The human that was in charge of security of the part of the wall immediately shouted towards Amon.

Amon could not help but be immediately dumbfounded the moment that he realized that the group of humans that were on top of the wall were extremely powerful. Even a few of them that he could tell the power levels were actually at least in the legendary rank.

As for the human that had spoken, he could tell that he was absolutely stronger than himself. That implied that he was at least in the ancient rank, right? After all, the oppression that he could feel coming from the other party was definitely not something that just anybody could give out.

He took a deep breath. It seemed that it was the right decision that he had made not to recklessly charge over. He raised his hands into the air, to show his submission.

Then, after taking a deep breath once again, he finally spoke. "My name is Amon. I am here to meet up with my sister because there is something important that I would like to discuss with her."

At this moment, he realized that it was better for him to talk about Diana the moment that he arrived. Additionally, no matter what, he would not show any enmity between the two of them. Otherwise, he might end up getting killed if those humans thought that he was here to cause trouble.

The humans on top of the wall could not help but be surprised the moment that they heard Amon claiming that he was Diana’s brother. Looking at his appearance, true, they could see that there was some kind of resemblance between the two of them.

It was just that they could not be too sure about it. After all, no matter what, none of them had the guts of directly staring at Diana. At the end of the day, although she was beautiful, she was also extremely strong. How could they ogle at her just like that? They might end up getting beaten up.

After hearing those words, everyone on top of the wall immediately understood that this might actually be the truth. It might be true that not all of them had seen Diana taking action, but it was not as if the information about her had not been spread.

For that reason, they could easily tell if this guy was lying or not. Of course, there was also a probability that this guy had just received information about Diana, and that was what he was using right here to try to convince them about him being Diana’s brother.

The man that was in charge of the group that was in charge of security at this moment wanted to say something when he suddenly realized that at some point in time, there was somebody that had appeared behind him.

When he looked over, he was completely stunned the moment that he realized that the one who had appeared behind him was none other than Diana. That was to be expected. Diana was a divine rank expert, and it was definitely impossible for those that were below the divine rank to be able to detect her presence.

As for the matter of appearing behind the humans that were in charge of guarding this place, that was simple considering the speed that she possessed.

Diana had already detected the presence of Amon long ago even before he released the aura that she could detect. Since she was already in the divine rank, it was quite simple for her to be able to notice his presence.

But even then, she could not help but be displeased by the fact that this guy kept on coming back looking for her. She had already stated that she had no intention of going back, why was it that this guy kept on coming after her?

"Diana, we have to go back. Things are definitely not good.
