This Necromancer Just Wants to Plant Trees-Chapter 1966 - 561 Ancient Death God and Dimension Anchor_4
If it wasn’t for the team having several members with exceptional Insight.
Navigating through this corridor alone would have required a lot of effort.
A small door appeared ahead.
Matthew stood behind the door, looking inside.
This was a hall submerged in shadows, except for the most basic material structure of the hall, the accumulated Shadow Domain had reached an exceedingly terrifying level.
The shadows were filled with mottled fragments.
These were the astonishing numbers of shadow creatures waiting for intruders!
"Shadow Element, Shadow Steel Golem, Shadow Mage, Shadow Dragon, and the elusive creatures..."
Vivien listed the names of these shadow creatures like they were her family treasures.
Matthew’s expression grew much more serious.
At this point.
The quality of the shadow creatures had sharply increased by more than one level.
Aside from the most common Shadow Element.
The "Shadow Steel Golem" combined the traits of disappearing and appearing at will typical of shadow creatures with the almost divine defensive abilities of golems.
Matthew currently observed that there were two Shadow Steel Golems stationed on either side of the hall, and there were probably some more in the corridors leading to the other side of the hall.
These two Shadow Steel Golems seemed to be connected to some mechanisms at the material level of the hall.
Bypassing them wouldn’t be easy.
And the "Shadow Mage" in a dormant state resembled an assassin poised to attack, though their primary means of attack were sharp shadow spells, and some possessed monstrous Abilities.
Each Shadow Mage had at least 20 creature levels.
Matthew had not yet seen the leader.
But he suspected that a legendary Shadow Mage was hiding in the hall!
The "Shadow Dragon" was even more troublesome.
They were true members of the dragon race, able to freely change their size, possessing immense Strength and resistance, and were among the top in direct combat abilities among shadow creatures.
Matthew also saw traces of Beckman on the foreheads of these Shadow Dragons.
He suspected that once he engaged these Shadow Dragons, even with Lorraine blocking the information, Beckman might sense it in time.
Of course.
The most nauseating creature was the "Lost Lantern," which flashed by in a corner of the hall.
This type of creature seemed non-aggressive, but wherever it existed, people would involuntarily become distracted.
This even had nothing to do with your mental power, Will, or related resistance.
The Lost Lantern’s ability to distract was a manifestation of divine power.
Only laws can combat laws.
Even with the resources at Matthew’s disposal, only keeping Lost Paradise continuously active could somewhat counteract the effect of the Lost Lantern.
But that.
Would mean completely exposing his location!
"We must get through this hall quickly."
Sener reminded:
"While chasing those two guards just now, several Shadow Elements emerged and held me back. I only killed one of them, the other, although severely wounded and unlikely to survive, I don’t know if they managed to send out the information before dying..."
Matthew nodded.
"But this is the Shadow Sea Gorge."
Vivien said solemnly:
"If I’m not mistaken, Beckman has moved the deepest part of the Shadow Plane into his own bedroom."
"The sedimentation of the shadow elements here is simply too exaggerated; a slight carelessness could lead to being overwhelmed or even crushed by the shadows, and any thought of quickly crossing the hall poses a great risk."
Hibbert raised his hand and said:
"I can create a Time Domain springboard. Within the allowable time of the hourglass, users of the springboard can travel a significant distance within a domain, but I can’t be sure how far exactly—it might be half, or three-quarters, but definitely more than a third..."
The others also gave their views.
After listening to everyone’s suggestions.
Matthew waved his hand:
"Let me try first."
As he spoke.
He handed the Lost Lantern to Vivien next to him.
Then he walked alone towards the edge of the hall with the Sun God Spear.
After preparing briefly.
Matthew also put away the only glowing Sun God Spear.
In an instant.
Endless darkness overwhelmed him.
Rustle rustle.
Countless creatures in the shadows were grinding their teeth savoring blood, eager to strike!
But their rash actions were interrupted by a sudden surge of overwhelming force!
Within the indistinguishable darkness.
Ripples filled with the power of the domain rapidly spread.
Centered on Matthew.
The domain named negative energy and Dark Erosion overlap each other, creating an independent space that does not belong to the Shadow Domain!
"Indeed."
"The Shadow Domain, negative energy domain, and Dark Erosion Domain all overlap."
"I can dissipate some of the darkness in the Shadow Domain by using negative energy and Dark Erosion Domain, thereby reducing the repulsion within the domain to a minimum."
"Hmm, Beckman’s branding left inside the domain is too strong, I can’t completely overshadow it, but it should be no problem to carve out a path..."
Matthew’s heart was filled with joy.
This was his first time manipulating and restructuring a domain in actual combat.
Although it was done unimpeded.
But it was also a very important step for him.
A few seconds later.
Numerous elements from the Shadow Domain were effortlessly incorporated into Matthew’s own space.
Following that.
He released the Equilibrium Domain and the Tauren Domain, attempting to communicate and plunder more elements from the Shadow Domain—
Plunder what can be plundered.
Communicate with what can’t be plundered.
If communication fails... just let it be for the time being.
This was Matthew’s principle for subtle domain operation.
At this moment.
His mental power was unprecedentedly focused.
Beyond the expanded domains, other related domains within the nascent cyclical domain ecosystem also produced slight resonance.
The flow of elements between domains sped up.
This made Matthew’s work even easier.
In less than three minutes.
Large swaths of darkness at the edge of the hall faded away.
The exposed shadow creatures nervously wailed.
But, because the domain they relied on was suppressed.
They couldn’t attack Matthew.
They couldn’t even get close to him.
Sener was quick to act, and along with Lumiere and others, swiftly killed off these unlucky shadow creatures.
The remaining shadow creatures quickly fled into the nearby darkness.
Another dozen seconds passed.
Matthew’s figure reappeared before everyone.
He was shimmering with a pitch-black glow.
The power of the domain condensed into a physical form upon him.
Every moment, black liquid dripped from the hem of Matthew’s clothes.
The liquid dropped on the floor and instantly crystallized into clusters.
"Shadow Element Crystals!"
Vivien exclaimed in surprise.
But before she could act, a figure swiftly flashed by, and the crystals on the ground clean disappeared.
Vivien glanced at the nonchalant Soldier and slightly pursed her lips.
The group approached Matthew.
Matthew pointed his index finger toward the other side of the hall:
"This way!"
As his voice dropped.
Endless darkness swiftly receded to both sides.
Suddenly, a wide path appeared in the previously bottomless Shadow Sea Gorge.
The shadow creatures on the path voiced their uneasy sounds.
Matthew led everyone calmly past.
Before long.
They successfully passed through the hall.
On the other side of the hall was a corridor.
And at the end of the corridor was a spacious bedroom.
The density of shadow elements here greatly decreased.
The visibility also improved significantly.
Therefore, as soon as they entered the corridor, the group clearly saw, on the large bed in the bedroom, a huge rock.
Next to the rock,
lay two utterly naked women, pale-faced.
"That’s the ’Dimension Anchor’!"
Yellow Jade Dragon Clayde couldn’t help but speak out.
