This Wizard is So Unscientific!-Chapter 166 - Steam Lighthouse Project_1
Chapter 166: Chapter 166 [Steam Lighthouse Project]_1
Chapter 166 -166 [Steam Lighthouse Project]_1
……
In the Soul Fire Rock Area, on Ramore Street.
The Treeheart Burrow Tavern was busier than usual today.
When Tuck entered, the usually spacious tavern tables were all fully occupied.
The clamor within was about topics Tuck had heard plenty about today.
Blasphemer, Blood Race, S Level Transcendent Talent, Dark Sun Saint Child…
For Transcendents, the emergence of an S Level Transcendent Talent was enough to shake the entire Augus Twin Star Continent and perhaps even make it into the history books as a historic Transcendent Talent.
Besides, they were right in the midst of such a whirlwind event, truly witnessing history.
Two inebriated Transcendents at a nearby table started arguing over the authenticity of today’s newspaper report on Blasphemer Tuck’s Transcendent Talent, quickly coming to blows, and ending with one carried out back to a pile of hay.
“I heard the news has already reached the Holy City of Floating Star.”
“Really, so fast?”
“What’s there to be false about that? The magic network of the Transcendent Steam Tower has long connected through steam and railways.”
“With such a big event happening in St. Land, they’re bound to know immediately.”
“That’s true, even if we took the train, it’s only a day or two’s journey to reach the Floating Star City.”
The patrons in the tavern continued their discussions.
Tuck sat quietly at a corner of the bar.
He was still wearing the same old, now somewhat tattered and worn Second Rank Wizard’s Robe that had been with him for a long time.
After many battles, although Tuck maintained it regularly, wear and tear were inevitable.
Previously, Tuck’s wizard physique was strong enough, but his body’s natural defenses were not particularly impressive.
But now, with the Third Rank Red Flame Dragon Scale Armor fused onto his body,
his defense was completely different from the old days.
Nowadays, the Wizard’s Robe served more for concealment and for Origin Energy tempering during daily training; its defensive capabilities were practically redundant.
While quietly sipping his Oak Stonefruit Wine, Tuck was deep in thought about the grand plan that the Duchy Cerion and St. Land were about to roll out against the Dark Sun Church—the Steam Lighthouse Plan!
The Dark Sun Church!
Not just any ordinary mysterious church.
It was a powerful and dark religious institution spread across many Transcendent Worlds, worshipping an unspeakable, terrifying Evil God known as the “Dark Sun,” with a long history and well-known “achievements.”
The Three-Eyed God, Holy Gaia, Pan-dimension, Spirit Blue Star Sea, Transcendental Holy Spirit Kingdom,
also known as the Three-Eyed God, Spiritual Nation, faced attacks and infiltrations from various powers across many border Transcendent Planes.
The Dark Sun Church was one of the very formidable forces among them.
As the era of Steam Roaring surged forward, the interior of the Three-Eyed God Holy Spirit Nation also faced epochal changes spurred by the rise of the Steam Transcendent Era.
Moreover, within the Three-Eyed God Spiritual Nation, various powers were engaged in both overt and covert struggles.
The war against the Dark Sun Church was proving especially arduous.
Not to mention other Transcendent Worlds,
within the Duchy Cerion alone,
the Grand Duke Cerion had to contend with the Day Rock Empire from the South Continent,
while also venturing to explore the Eastern Sea, where the ocean depths hid richer Transcendent resources than the mainland.
And to explore the Eastern Sea, one had to suppress the indigenous peoples of the Sea Islands.
Those once less civilized natives had also rapidly developed over a few decades.
Transcendent Sequence, Sea Demon Ships, Steam Airships, and various other methods and abilities with the characteristics of the Sequence Era,
along with Totem Worship, Blood Sacrifice Worship, Ancestor Spirit Worship, and other Transcendent Rituals,
had been quickly mastered by those uncivilized island natives.
Clearly, there was the handiwork of other dukes who were at odds with the Grand Duke Cerion.
Even so,
the Stone Golem Empire on the East Continent was speeding up its unification and establishment.
They were also secretly advised by mysterious sages and were submitting applications to the Three-Eyed God, Holy Gaia, Pan-dimension, Spirit Blue Star Sea, Transcendent Spiritual Nation to establish a continental duchy,
all to restrain the Duchy Cerion from exploiting the ocean’s resources and its ventures on the East Continent.
Without a doubt, the situation in the Augus Twin Star Transcendent World was complex.
The pressure of fighting against the high-level members of the Spiritual Nation trickled down.
The internal complexities of the duchy they were situated in.
And this led to St. Land and the surrounding Dark Curtain Province in increasingly passive positions in their struggle against the Northern Borderland’s Dark Sun Church.
But!
This passive situation was finally about to turn around.
The Duchy Cerion.
Would start a plan in opposition to the Dark Sun Church centered on St. Land—the Steam Lighthouse Plan.
Tuck knew the theory, but as for the specifics of the large-scale preparation plan, he was unclear.
In essence, the Duchy Cerion, under the push of the Grand Duke Cerion,
was about to use the steam railways and steam lighthouses as hubs and conduits,
delivering a massive amount of Origin Energy to the steam lighthouses and into the Lava Hearth Tree Stump that comprised the very flesh of St. Land.
With the thunderous power of the entire empire’s Transcendent industry,
they would light many lighthouses to drive out and burn the entire Dark Sun Ecology of the Northern Borderland.
In this plan, they would even employ the “King’s Crown,” which could affect the power of the Grand Duke Cerion—something from the King’s Sequence.
And yet, that Grand Duke Cerion had decided to confirm this plan.
One could say, the St. Land Lighthouse Plan!
This was an absolutely crucial war,
a war concerning the fate and future direction of the Duchy Cerion.
If they won, the Duchy Cerion would come to dominate the Western Continent, and perhaps the whole of the Augus Twin Star Realm.
Even a draw would mean a huge gain for the Duchy Cerion.
The power of the Transcendent steam industry would keep growing more and more ferocious; if it continued, the roaring of the Origin Energy Steam Engines would shake the entire world.
And once defeated,
the power of the King’s Crown would dissipate.
The fabric that each great Transcendent City State had established would also be hit hard.
The voices of opposition would rise as well.
Once the people’s hearts scatter, it’s hard to lead the team.
This was also the predicament the Duchy of Cerion found itself in after its defeat in this confrontation.
Why the upper echelons would make such a decision,
Tuck did not care much to concern himself with.
But,
this Steam Lighthouse project, for Tuck,
was critically important.
It was an unprecedented opportunity.
Even the upcoming promotion to the Third Rank and the birth of the “Angel Sequence” abilities had a significant impact.
Previously, Tuck and Hilor had together completed the destruction of a Blood Race Castle.
Even acquiring a large number of Blood Crystals.
Two days after returning, Hilor learned through the channels of High Tower about Tuck’s infiltration into the Blood Race Council and his brief encounter with Saint Heir Wendell Francis.
She turned around and came to ask Tuck about the authenticity of the incident.
And Tuck disclosed everything without holding back,
As Tuck saw it, it was just an accidental encounter, and there was no harm in telling Hilor since she asked.
But to Hilor, the implications were quite different.
Soon, Hilor reported to St. Land Tower the whole process of her and Blasphemer Tuck attacking the Blood Race Castle, just as it happened.
Of course, many details were slightly obscured.
But the entire magical footage of their battle against the Blood Race was thoroughly recorded by Hilor.
And this!
It allowed Ramore Street, which already had the capability to independently construct a Steam Lighthouse, to receive even greater support from above.
Today.
Hilor had arranged a meeting here with Tuck.
She intended to explain to Tuck the construction matters of the Steam Lighthouse on Ramore Street,
As well as to inform him about the issues she had previously outlined.
In a short while!
Hilor, in the ordinary attire of a St. Land resident, lowered her hat and entered through the side door of the tavern.
After a glance at each other, Hilor made her way up to the second floor of the tavern on her own.
This Treeheart Burrow Tavern had shares owned by Hilor.
There was a secret spot in the tavern specially for Hilor.
Tuck drained his Stone Fruit Wine and then staggered to his feet, pretending to be tipsy as he headed towards the back door of the tavern.
At this time, a scout who had been tailing Tuck for a while followed him silently.
Just then, in the row of tables between the entrance and the alley leading to the backyard,
a voice laden with warning sounded.
“Hey… don’t make trouble here!”
Carlos was appraising the newcomer, a Second-Rank Scout, with a cold indifference.
In the Transcendent World, taverns, hotels, casinos, and the underground red-light districts,
maintained order themselves.
The only use for a Sheriff was probably to come to collect the bodies afterwards, along with issuing wanted notices.
Faced with Carlos’s deterrent stance, the Scout flashed a dagger from his sleeve but gave Carlos a cold look and didn’t pay him any heed.
He had been watching that Second-Rank Wizard for a long time,
And his magical pet “Sniff-sniff” had caught a scent of a considerable amount of Magic Gold on him.
Seeing that the guy wasn’t going to stop the argument,
Carlos shook his head.
“Fool, that guy… is not easy to mess with. You’re the only one who will be unlucky.”
“That aside, his approach feels so familiar!”
“Is it that guy?”
Carlos tapped the table, lost in thought.
“Anyway, I hope that Wizard doesn’t cause a fatality.”
“Otherwise, dealing with the body is a hassle.”
Immediately after, Carlos stroked his chin.
“Last time my sister said the same thing, that just a word from her can deter others. Why doesn’t it work when I do it?”
“Could it be that I’m sitting in the wrong posture?”
After waiting about two minutes,
Carlos rose and walked towards the back.
As expected,
the Scout who followed the Wizard out was completely unconscious, lying in a pile of sheep pen grass.

And in the pile of sheep pen grass, there were three more guys who looked just about the same as the Scout.
Carlos went up to check.
Indeed, the Wizard’s methods were very skilled; he left hardly anything valuable on them.
The Scout’s old First Rank leather armor and First Rank boots were barely passable, together worth only a few Magic Gold.
“The Wizard didn’t clean them out, could it be because I spoke up earlier, he intentionally left a bit for me?”
After grabbing these items,
Carlos looked around and saw no trace of the Wizard.
