Transmigrated as the Stepmother of a Rebellious Heir-Chapter 187 - 120 Prayer
Chapter 187: Chapter 120 Prayer
Fu Siyu first took Shu Wan to lunch, and to her surprise, it wasn’t some private dining restaurant that fit Fu Siyu’s status and temperament, but a small eatery hidden in an alleyway.
The owner seemed to know Fu Siyu. However, Siyu hadn’t returned to the country for many years, and it took the owner a good moment before recognizing him, "Aren’t you that distinguished Young Master from back then? You haven’t visited us for so many years."
"Long time no see," Fu Siyu nodded slightly to the owner, "Please serve us two set meals."
"Like before?"
"Like before."
"Alright then, you wait here, I’ll get your dishes ready right away."
The owner spoke, yet he didn’t walk away immediately, instead giving Shu Wan a curious glance, "This must be your wife, right?"
"Yes," Fu Siyu nodded, "I brought her here today to try your cooking."
As Fu Siyu finished speaking, Shu Wan greeted the owner, "Hello."
"Hello," the owner also smiled and greeted Shu Wan in return.
"Ha, what skills do I have?" The owner said with a laugh, waving his hand dismissively, "Time really flies. In the blink of an eye, you’ve grown up, and you have such a beautiful wife too. You two are a perfect match."
Hearing the owner’s words, Fu Siyu’s eyes flickered slightly, "Thank you."
"You go ahead and take a seat. The spot you used to like is available today; I’ll go prepare the food."
After the owner left, Fu Siyu led Shu Wan further inside and they sat down at a table by the window.
Shu Wan had been to many places for meals since arriving in the modern world, but it was the first time she encountered a decor like that of this little restaurant.
The restaurant had been open for nearly thirty years and the interior still retained the "80s" charm from when it first opened.
Nostalgic posters from the late twentieth century covered the walls, and there were all kinds of messages left by students along the sides.
The numerous, multicolored notes also formed a unique scene.
"There’s a school not far from here; lots of students come to eat," Fu Siyu explained to Shu Wan.
"So many notes; did you leave one too?" Shu Wan scanned the paper notes posted on the wall, a bit curious.
"I think there’s one," Fu Siyu recalled, "The owner insisted I write one. It was hard to refuse."
"Where is it?"
Shu Wan was quite curious about what kind of message the young Siyu would have written.
"I’ll look for it."
Fu Siyu said that as he searched around the wall.
Thanks to the owner’s excellent preservation, even notes from over a decade ago were still properly affixed to the wall.
After looking for a while, Fu Siyu finally found the aged note that had hung there for twelve years.
"Here you go," Fu Siyu handed the note to Shu Wan.
Shu Wan took the note and couldn’t help but smirk, "It’s quite in line with your style indeed."
The note simply had two words written on it, "Soar High."
Aspiring to soar, just from this note, one could tell that Fu Siyu of that time also possessed a considerable youthful spirit.
"I have another question that I’m quite curious about," Shu Wan reattached the note to the wall, then turned to look at Fu Siyu.
"Go ahead."
"The owner just called you a distinguished Young Master."
Shu Wan gazed directly into Fu Siyu’s eyes, those deep pools held an unfathomable steadfastness and calm, as imposing as mountains and as vast as seas, even Shu Wan couldn’t imagine what Siyu was like as a Young Master.
"There should be a picture somewhere, I’ll look for it."
Fu Siyu said, taking out his phone, tapped it a couple of times but then stopped, "It seems I don’t have a Tieba account."
"I do," Shu Wan had learned far too much about modern social media lately, to the point where not only Tieba, but she had also become a veteran member of Zhihu.
"Good, then search for the Mingcheng First High School Tieba."
"Found it," Shu Wan tapped a few times on her phone and quickly found the posts she wanted to see.
Now, Fu Siyu was genuinely surprised, "I didn’t even tell you what to search for."
"Just search by historical popularity, you’re bound to be there," Shu Wan was sure of her answer.
Shu Wan was getting a handle on the rules of social media popularity. Someone like Fu Siyu, who combined the buffs of being a top student, second-generation rich, and exceptionally handsome, would surely have been highly popular during high school.
Indeed, as Shu Wan predicted, all the top ten hot posts in the Tieba were about Fu Siyu.
Fu Siyu in high school, with eyebrows resembling Fu Yang’s, but whereas Fu Yang was more unruly, Fu Siyu appeared more composed and aristocratic.
