Chapter 193: Chapter 122 Shooting_3

Then, Fu Yang turned away with a cold face, "Fine, I’ll go with him. That should be fine, right? You can leave now."

Shu Wan also turned around and waved at Fu Siyu, "Then, I’ll be leaving first."

"Okay, see you tonight."

Shu Wan and Lin Man had agreed to meet at two in the afternoon at the film set.

Shu Wan arrived at the set half an hour early, but unexpectedly, as she approached the Film and Television City, she saw Lin Man from a distance lying on a sun lounger at the set, looking at her phone.

The sun was a bit hot, so Shu Wan walked over to a nearby vending machine to buy a bottle of water.

When she turned around again, Lin Man had disappeared.

Shu Wan found it strange as she walked around the set looking for Lin Man but couldn’t find her.

Eventually, Shu Wan simply sat down on Lin Man’s chair.

She sipped her water while waiting for Lin Man.

Meanwhile, at the entrance of the Film and Television City, Lin Man was using a magazine to cover her face, sneaking around trying to leave the Film and Television City.

As she walked, she complained to her assistant, "It’s all your fault. Why didn’t you tell me earlier that Shu Wan had arrived? She almost saw me."

If Shu Wan had seen her already waiting here and then thought she was eagerly anticipating their afternoon photo session, where would Lin Man’s pride go?

The assistant certainly understood Lin Man’s intention. Considering Lin Man’s prideful behavior, the assistant’s opinion was summed up in four words: completely unnecessary.

Only someone as naive and silly sweet as Lin Man would think she had disguised herself well.

Alas, sometimes being foolish is a blessing.

The afternoon sun was scorching, and there was hardly any shelter outside the Film and Television City.

Lin Man stood under the blazing sun for a long time until it was finally two o’clock. Lin Man even waited an extra five minutes before she walked in on high heels.

"You’re too eager, coming so early," Lin Man mocked Shu Wan, "But let me tell you, even if you try to please me like this, I won’t give you any resources."

Shu Wan remained silent, her eyes sweeping over Lin Man’s forehead and reddened cheeks, then noticing the mud on the edges of her shoes.

Shu Wan mercilessly pointed out, "You’ve been standing outside for quite a while, haven’t you?"

"How could that be?!" Lin Man completely denied it, "Hey, you don’t think I was hiding because I was afraid you’d find out I was waiting for you, do you? Hahaha, that’s laughable."

The assistant standing beside Lin Man felt utterly despondent.

What to do when the celebrity you manage behaves like a fool?

"Okay, go touch up your makeup. We’ll start shooting in an hour."

"Let me tell you, I wasn’t waiting for you outside," Lin Man reiterated as she walked to the makeup room.

Shu Wan, unfazed, adjusted the equipment, pretending she hadn’t heard Lin Man speak.

An hour later, having touched up her makeup and dressed in a pretty little skirt, Lin Man walked over in high heels, "Okay, how should we do this?"

"You stand over there, and just follow what I say."

Shu Wan stood behind the camera, looking serious. Even though Lin Man had never seen her work, she somehow felt that Shu Wan’s skills must be good.

This guess was confirmed after Shu Wan had taken a couple of rounds of photos.

Though Lin Man didn’t say it, she was screaming inside:

Hahahaha! How can she make me look so beautiful! It must be because I’m naturally pretty. Hurry, hurry, take more photos!

Lin Man cooperated, and with Shu Wan’s efficiency, they continued until the evening twilight faded, having taken over a thousand photos.

"When can I have these photos?" Lin Man eagerly asked Shu Wan, "Can I have them now?"

"I’ll send them to you tonight."

Shu Wan wasn’t fond of editing colors; she usually sent the photos as they were.

"Good, it’s a promise then," Lin Man nodded.

After the shoot was completed and as Shu Wan prepared to leave, Lin Man hesitated but then called out to Shu Wan, "Hey, can I ask you a question?"

Shu Wan turned around, "Go ahead."

Lin Man opened her mouth, seemingly struggling to speak, and after a long hesitation, she frowned, "Never mind, it’s nothing."

The assistant couldn’t stand it anymore and intervened, "I’ll ask for her. Do you dislike her? Do you like her? Can you be friends with her?"

Lin Man immediately widened her eyes and dashed over to cover her assistant’s mouth, but it was too late.

Lin Man frantically waved her hands at Shu Wan, "No, no, I don’t want to be your friend."

"I actually quite like you."
