Everyone gathered around the baby that was in a transparent artificial womb. It would stay there for at least one week before Mega could be allowed to take him home.

"Look at him, he is all wrinkly and red, so ugly." Halley commented.

Elroy looked at his little sister whose face was all twisted up in displeasure as she looked at their new baby brother that she found less than appealing. "All babies are wrinkly and ugly. You looked exactly like this when you were born."

"No I didn’t. Daddy said I was born pretty." Halley replied. She even looked at Dorian for confirmation. "Tell him daddy."

Dorian laughed and ruffled Halley’s hair. "You are still pretty my Halley. The prettiest of all the Su’s."

"I don’t agree with that but sure." Carolyn said. She looked at Scarlet who was silent and said, "You are awfully quiet lady governor. What do you think about the new addition to our family?"

She smiled and looked at the baby and replied. "Well, little Junior Su here will be quite the looker when he grows up. Look at those little black hairs on his head. He looks just like me."

"Another black haired Su finally." Dorian said proudly.

Carolyn snorted and rolled her eyes. Then she mumbled, "He doesn’t even hide the fact that the black haired ones are his favorites."

"Illa is hungry." Beord announced.

When they turned, they noticed their sister sucking her thumb. Normally, it was a sign that she was hungry. She was also learning to walk now so she was fond of eating random things.

Scarlet tossed a ready bottle of warm milk to Beord.

"Mi...mi." Illa bubbled and clapped her hands.

Beord handed her the bottle and she took it with two eager hands. Voraciously, she set on having her meal loudly.

"She has the appetite of a mecha warrior this one." Beord commented.

"Maybe she will be one." Dorian suggested.

The door slid open and a nurse walked in. She had a soft smile on her face as she looked at the Su’s.

"Uhm, lady governor, food is not allowed in here. Also visitation hours are ten minutes and you have all used up your time. Other families are waiting to see their babies."

This large sterilized room had a maximum of thirty artificial wombs and all were occupied.

"We will be right out." Scarlet told the nurse.

One by one, they bid farewell to Junior Su as Scarlet had named him. She was also sure that her mother would change that name as soon as possible. She would definitely look for a more meaningful name.

Outside, they picked up Mega from the room as she had been discharged and walked out of the hospital. Nobody had any plans in particular but they didn’t feel like parting. It had been a while since they were all together like this.

"Let’s all go back to my place in wine country for dinner. I had the maids cook a special meal. We should celebrate the addition of a new clan member."

Tonight, she would finalize her plans of protecting her family and Esong’s as well. And then, all that would be left to do was wait.

Two weeks later, on the night of Tion and Lora’s wedding, it finally happened. Esong Wu suddenly returned to the Blue star.

He came in stealthily on a spaceship, with no one aware, not until he identified himself. With the visible changes in his physique, mecha warriors were alerted immediately and so was the emperor.

He was carted off to the headquarters of the association of mecha warriors immediately for questioning and scanning. He would not be allowed to walk around as a free man unless a complete set of tests was run.

At the same time, Scarlet was just about to give a speech when she felt a shift in the energy. Weirdly, her heart picked up speed and the place the bond used to be fluttered. The children in her womb begun to move frantically and pain intensely stabbed her out of nowhere. It was so great that the glass of non alcoholic wine in her hands fell to the ground as she hunched over and groaned

Her hounds went crazy, howling, growling and barking as if something dangerous was around. Because they were at the reception which was being held in one of the wedding mansions in wine country, the guests begun to panic.

It was common knowledge that dogs didn’t bark fiercely for no reason. They whispered like members of the Su family closest to Scarlet rushed to her aid. Along with them were the worried Wu’s.

Scarlet had a feeling that it was time. The children had decided it was the right time to be born.

Beord and Elroy reached her first. Beord lifted her in his arms and raced away, heading to the exist.

"What is wrong with her?" Adler asked worriedly. He was on Beord’s heels, following worriedly.

"Her water, it has broken. She is about to give birth. We need to get to a hospital right now." Mega shouted.

These words were heard by many of the guests and quickly the news spread through the room. A few of the guests took to star net immediately and shared the news with the public.

The emperor meanwhile got to his feet as well, needing to follow them. Esong was back, or a man that looked like Esong but happened to be a bit taller and slightly bigger than him had arrived. Just as soon as he arrived, Scarlet had gone into labor. Was this really a coincidence?

Suddenly, the weather outside started to change. It was already dark but the sky started getting darker. Loud rumbling of thunder which was enough to send anyone hiding under their beds fiercely roared. Strong winds begun to blow, powerful enough to uproot a few trees and send them flying away. As if that was not enough, it started to rain. The rain didn’t fall in little drops but fat drops with hailstones.

The group that was escorting Scarlet to the hospital suddenly seemed to be stuck. It was if the wind was blocking them, stopping them from venturing any further.

"What is going on?" Adler asked.

The hounds growled even louder, snapping at the humans, herding them backwards.

"We have to go, now." Severus barked at Scarlet.

She was in pain but even she knew that danger had come. The storm of war was coming, no, it had already come. She snapped her fingers and time froze. Then, she waved her hand and a phantom form of hers appeared. She got out of Beord’s arms and it replaced her.

At that moment, a sharp black claw with Long brown nails reached out of thin air and swiped at her.

"Watch out." Grimm yelled.

Severus turned around to launch himself at it but a burning hot scythe cut through the air and cut the claws off.

Out of thin air, Esong appeared, gigantic wings spread out so widely that they covered almost everyone that was in the Su and Wu party.

He didn’t say a word and just grabbed a stunned Scarlet by the waist and teleported away.
