Chapter 510: Having a spring dream

Standing outside the closed door, Xiang Yu felt an unexpected pang of hurt. He wore an expression that seemed lost, his brow furrowing in confusion.

’I am not ugly that he would reject me, right?’ he thought to himself. Han Xin wouldn’t lose anything by accepting his offer. But the man had reacted as if he were asking him to cut off a piece of his flesh.

Disheartened, Xiang Yu turned away from the door and walked back toward home. There he found Lian and Mei waiting for him, their expressions mixed with concern and curiosity.

Xiang Yu sighed as he slumped onto the couch, the weight of the encounter pressing heavily on his shoulders.

"Master, did you have a fight with Lord Han again?" Lian inquired, her tone expressing her concern.

"Why are you calling him that?" Xiang Yu replied, trying to mask his annoyance.

"We are protesting against the injustice towards your master," Mei declared firmly, her arms crossed over her chest. "So until further notice, he is Lord Han."

Xiang Yu chuckled softly, lying back on the couch. "I told him we could get water for the city if we became a real couple."

Lian stared at him, surprise etched on her face. "What did he say?"

Xiang Yu covered his eyes with the back of his hand, feigning nonchalance. "He kicked me out."

Lian and Mei sighed in unison, frustration evident in their expressions.

"Why does he have to act so stubborn?" Mei asked, her voice tinged with irritation.

Han Zhan stepped into Han Xin’s place, the door creaking slightly as he pushed it open. He was met with the sight of Han Xin sitting at the table, a stern expression etched onto his face as he stared intently at a map sprawled before him.

"What’s so urgent that you had to call me over?" Han Zhan asked, taking a seat beside his cousin.

Han Xin didn’t look up from the map. "Is there anywhere we didn’t search for water?" he replied, his voice steady but pressed with worry.

Han Zhan frowned, glancing at the map before meeting Han Xin’s gaze. "No... We searched everywhere. Apart from the dry mountains, the rest of the land is dead."

"Did we search thoroughly?" Han Xin pressed, still fixated on the map.

"Yes," Han Zhan replied, confusion threading through his words. "Why are you asking this?"

"Xiang Yu said there’s a water source around here," Han Xin said, finally lifting his eyes to meet his cousin’s.

Han Zhan stared at him, disbelief washing over his features. "You can’t possibly believe that."

After a long stretch of silence Han Zhan finally opened his mouth. "Pure water?" he asked sceptically.

Han Xin nodded, a resolute look in his eyes. "He can’t be serious. Where?" Han Zhan retorted, shaking his head in scepticism.

"He will tell me under one condition," Han Xin explained, hesitating for a moment.

Han Zhan’s expression shifted to one of annoyance. "That shameless bastard. What does he want?"

Han Xin’s hesitation lingered in the air. "To be a real couple with me."

For a beat, Han Zhan froze in surprise, his mind struggling to grasp the implication. Then, without warning, he burst into laughter. The sound rang through the small space, a mix of incredulity and amusement.

Han Zhan laughed so hard that his stomach ached, tears forming at the corners of his eyes. He patted Han Xin’s shoulder, still chuckling. "Ah-Xin, I never knew you could tell jokes. That’s a good one!"

Han Xin’s serious gaze remained fixed on his cousin. The look on his face seemed to say, ’Do I look like I am joking?’

Slowly, Han Zhan’s laughter died down, confusion shadowing his features. His realization hit him hard. "Shit, you are serious."

Han Xin averted his gaze, relieved that his cousin shared in the absurdity of Xiang Yu’s request.

"What did you say? Don’t tell me you agreed," Han Zhan pressed, his disbelief evident in his tone.

"I kicked him out," Han Xin replied flatly, his expression hardening.

"Good. We can torture the information out of him," Han Zhan said with a smirk, but then his tone shifted. "But... I doubt he knows what he’s talking about."

Han Xin shook his head, frustration simmering beneath the surface. "We can’t risk it. Let’s do another search tomorrow in parties."

Han Zhan nodded, a sense of grim determination settling in. The two of them fell silent for a moment, the gravity of their situation hanging in the air between them.

"What if we find nothing?" Han Zhan finally asked, breaking the uneasy quiet.

Han Xin didn’t respond immediately. Inside, a cold dread gripped him. The thought of failure gnawed at his insides. For a fleeting moment, he entertained the absurd idea of being with Xiang Yu. He would be sleeping with the enemy, and the idea made his skin crawl.

The next morning, four vehicles sped out of the city, slicing through the silence of the wasteland landscape. Dust clouds billowed in their wake as they drove on, determination etched into every driver’s face. The large gate behind them shut with a heavy clang, sealing the city from the harsh world outside.

Meanwhile, Su Jing furrowed her brows in annoyance as she watched the vehicles depart. She turned to her companion beside her. "Why does he have to go just because Xiang Yu said there’s water? Tsk, how troublesome."

Her thoughts turned inward; she knew she had to deal with Xiang Yu. He needed to learn a lesson, one that would ensure he understood the gravity of his situation. But she couldn’t confront him herself. She needed someone else to handle it. And she knew just the right person for the task.

At that moment, Xiang Yu remained blissfully unaware of the brewing storm just outside. He was fast asleep, lost in the embrace of a spring dream. He was dreaming of Han Xin pressing him down on the bed. ƒгeewёbnovel.com

He was dreaming that Han Xin had failed to resist his charm and crawled onto the bed, his fingers slipping underneath the red robe, touching and fondling him with fervour. The dream was so wonderful that he woke up with his hardness at the point of bursting and his pants wet.
