Aeryon only need to give people food to make the craftsman, artisans, blacksmiths, tailors and all other talents of Yan to teach his men.

The craftsman teaches his people on how to operate siege weapons.

Aeryon did not want to be unprepared. Genghis Khan when he first attacked Song dynasty was quite flustered when they began to attacked walled cities.

And there were a few times that Genghis Khan was defeated.

Only then he would adapt to the mode of war for walled cities.

Aeryon did not yet have to fight walled cities.

But it would not be long now.

If he really is able to unite the Southern Great Steppe, he believes that the threat would not come from the Central Great Steppe.

It would not come from the east.

Nor would it come from the South

The East have that Yindu Mountain range.

Yindu itself seems to be in a state of war right now. So, there would be no threat from the east for the foreseeable years.

Central Great Steppe did not have a unifying figure to attack Southern Great Steppe. And if they do manage to have a unifier to rally on, Aeryon would have found a way to alienate them with each other.

And he could even create a coalition with the other regions of the Steppe to contain such a power.

So, Aeryon does not worry that the Central Steppe would attack the Southern Great Steppe.

The West however does.

The Western Zhou.

If the Western Zhou emperor learn that the Steppe tribes on their eastern border has managed to unify itself, they might be scared enough that they would drop their internal problem and unite themselves to fight against Aeryon.

Aeryon would like it if they did not do that but Aeryon believe not everything would go according to his wishes.

He does not underestimate the greed in human heart but he also did not dare to overestimate it.

Clarity could sometimes be found during a moment of crisis. If such a situation rises, Aeryon would at least have a way to break the cities of Western Zhou.

That is the use of the craftsman that he had taken from Nurshira.

But for tailors...for tailors he has some other plans for them.
