Chapter 465: Match

Garron did not follow the battle and instead coordinate the battle from behind

He is not young anymore where he could fight in the frontline like Aeryon or his son. He also did not possess martial method like Durka of Duhai tribe

So, he emulates Valgrun of Khagai tribe, coordinating the battle from behind.

Clang!

Argh!

Kill!

Garron army and his general surged forward, like a tidal wave that is unstoppable.

Leading them is none other than Garron own son, Ogura waving a long spear and piercing everyone that is on his way.

Garron eyes narrowed

"HOLD!" the Great Warrior of Utgard on Garron side shouted, his voice rang out amidst the chaos.

CRASH!

DANG!

CLANG!

The cavalry clashed with each other; warriors uses all of their martial training to the utmost.

Some crashed with each other and was thrown out of their horse.

Some fall down and immediately die.

Some falls down, got up and continue fighting

But no one is running away.

The sound of clashing steel, splintering wood of shied, the cries and screams of men locked in delay combat, each one wanting to kill each other

Garron sees that the line is about to break

"Wait" he mutters to himself. Beside Garron is Waqu. Waqu did not make any move. He is just there on horseback, looking at the battle like it had nothing to do with him

He is calm. He is always calm

Even when his son is fighting alongside Garron son. Just like Garron, Waqu sons also chooses their side. Some chooses to side with Ogura and some other chooses to side with Garron

Waqu did not feel mad at his sons decision.

They all can make their decision.

Waqu however would stay with his sworn brother

Whether he is dead or not, he did not care.

The battle continues, the sharp steel meet the flesh of men and the blood shed drench the green grass.

The grass itself become heavy with the rain of blood that it almost seems like it wilted.

Arrows flying toward the enemy like rain

To the one being on the receiving end of this rain of arrows, it almost felt like the arrows is blocking the sun.

Argh!

Help me!

Many of Ogura men fall in this rain of arrows. But there is also mang that keep pushing through

Their body is pierced by a dozen arrows but even when the blood dripping down on each and every wound, these men slash their way forward

But bravery and strength of man could only achieve so much when facing such an impossible odds.

Garron men are powerful. But that did not mean Ogura warriors are just mediocre. Not to mention that Ogura held the advantage of numbers

The horses runs through the fallen men, trampling them and those who are unlucky would have their bones and flesh to be trampled by these fast-moving beast

Some have their heads mashed into a paste by the stampeding charge of these horses.

"CHARGE!"

"KILL!"

Leading one of Ogura detachment was Waqu son. The son inherit the father ability as he cut down all of the Garron warriors that tries to attack him

When he is close, he uses his sword and kills people easily. When the enemy is far, he would use his bow and arrow and never misses.

Ogura men charge through Garron men forward, quickly breaking Garron defenders and the line break almost immediately.

"Take the front!" Waqu son shouted. And the one he is shouting to is none other than Ogura.

"Listen! Listen!" he shouted

Ogura laughed and he urged his horse to rush forward.

In just a few moments, he takes the empty position and began swinging left and right with his spears.

The spear attack was so swift that before any of Garron warriors realizes it, they were already dead, a thin line on their neck, falling to the ground as their horses fled away.

Ogura took the front! Waqu son is protecting Ogura rear!

These two men lead the men and unstoppable since they enter the battlefield!

...

"Argh!"

"Kill that traitor!"

"Rebellious people!" There is all kinds of screams and curses and shouts being hurled toward Ogura forces.

But in this kind of high intense situation, all of these curses sound just like meaningless noise.

They could not even hear the curses and shouts clearly.

When one is fighting or their lives, they only focus on the enemy in front of them and in that moment, everything outside of that faded away

That is the case for Ogura.

His eyes and his ears, his body and smell, all of his senses only focused on the enemy in front of him

Right now, in the frontline of this battlefield, pushing forward with great momentum is Ogura. Using his spear, he pierce people with swift speed.

His attack is swift and domineering and those who fight him one on one all suffer

Rarely there are people that could last for three attacks from him. And he did not stop and keep advancing forward.

Each time he stabs, someone would fall down from their horse dying in pain.

They did not die immediately. Most of them would fall from their horses, their bodies twisting in agony, as their blood soaked into the grass and ground.

At times, Ogura would pierce the downed opponent with a strike aimed at the head.

Sometimes, he just move forward, letting the kill to be taken by his men.

Sometime, they would be trampled by the hooves of the horse. With this kind of leader riding in the front how could his other warrior shrink down?

It is like they were injected with chicken blood; morale is high and the more Ogura move forward, the stronger this morale and momentum this army possess.

And Ogura men knows that they have a fatal advantage over the Garron forces.

Garron has fewer men than Ogura.

How was this achieved?

After all, Garron is still the chief of Utgard and regardless of how unpopular his policies are, he still have many supporters all over the Utgard tribe

How did Ogura manage to gather so many people to believe in him and follow him in his rebellion?

Ogura take three days to come to the settlement when in fact he could arrive in only one day....the advantage lies on this matter

The region where Ogura controlled is far away from the main settlement but it is not that far that it would take three days.

To be more accurate, Ogura controlled many of the regions in the Rudya.

This is Garron trust toward him.

Ogura and Sayushi was both sent there to pacify the tribes that reside in Utgard sphere of influence.

Then what did he do with those three days?

None other than gathering allies.

He only need to promise some things to the new forces that Utgard had conquered to win their support and give promises to some Old Guards.

As for the young warriors on his side, most of them see more potential in the young chief than the old Garron

Supporting Garron now for these young warriors would not win them many honours but supporting the young rebel son would give them many benefit if they won

Garron himself is not like Aeryon who could just simply suppress any discontent with his reputation and influence.

If Garron has the same achievement like Aeryon when he was young, even when he is old, not many would have such rebellious thought

But he is not only old, his reputation is only known to the old people and the young only heard stories and there is no guard rails to maintain the power of the old chief.

And so, the situation led to this worst-case scenario

Garron look at this battle and he shakes his head.

"my army is more experienced but all of that advantage is neutralized by my son advantage in numbers"

Even though Garron forces are easily killing the warriors of Ogura, Ogura could quickly replenish his men and fill the empty position

One could understand why it could demoralize his forces

After all, when one in battle one could not calculate the other side numbers but when you kill someone and another takes it place almost a second later, time after time, you began feeling discouraged.

You would begin to think, how many more?

Will it ever end?

How many more?

How many more?

These question would echoes endlessly in the mind

Some warriors that have great mental could accept it and would not move an inch.

Fortunately, Garron warriors are the one that has this kind of mentality

But even when they have such mentality, it would not change the reality that Ogura has many more soldiers and warriors than him

and the truth is that for them to make a dent to Ogura forces and forces them to retreat, is for one person to kill five or more person in Ogura forces

Garron did send some detachment to try to attack Ogura from different direction.

But the Great Warriors that Ogura recruited is quite capable that they see it and block it from carrying a decapitation attack

Garron tries to follow Aeryon method of taking the head of the leader.

But it is not that easy to do.
