Pirate Kingship
Chapter 1019 - 553: Consecutive Breakthroughs, Storm King! (Part 2)
"You’re all old now. Next, it’s our turn to put on a show."
At the same time, countless Bayfolk across the Five Nations who still yearned for the Empire Era couldn’t help but burst into tears, and in unison chanted the ancestral epic prophecy:
"In the Empire Era, the Bayfolk still chased wild deer in the forests of the Eternal Night Peninsula. Hundreds of years later, they shall chase across the entire Silver Continent.
They conquered the continent by force, only to be conquered in turn by the faith of a heretical religion; the glory of the North Bayfolk sank with it into the deepest depths of the Ocean.
But one day it shall be awakened anew by blood and Blaze!
My right eye shall witness it all."
"Wild Hunt King!"
"War Queen!"
"Long live, long live..."
[Hidden: Prophecy, the racial revival prophecy of royal power and the Mad Hunt Deity Woden, Historical Influence 69] Decryption Rate leapt in one step from 65% to 70%.
The rebuilding of the North Sea Empire was, without a doubt, a crucial step in the revival of the Bayfolk.
Yet Byron and Violet did not get carried away; they knew full well that reclaiming the Crowns of the Kalmar Triad was only a nominal reunification.
As long as they could not forge the [Crown] that symbolized the Twofold Diadem, could not enforce a unified Law Code, this newborn North Sea Empire would in essence still be a loose bundle of Five Nations, unable to truly fuse into a single whole.
No different from the Empire that fell apart the moment Pirate Emperor Blue Dragon King Reinhardt died.
So, to forge the Crown, they still needed two things:
One was the Iron Anchor Bay Crown taken away by Jack Harold of the Whale Hunters—in other words, after blowing up the Evernight Queen’s Crown, they still had to go on and blow up Old Deng’s gear.
The other was the long-lost original of the Empire’s "Pirate Code" Law Code. The Abyssal Horror Dagon had personally admitted that it too was a treasure stolen back then by these Bayfolk Exiles.
They had long since offered it up to the Deep Dive Church headquarters; it should now be in the East Continent Truth Corridor.
They had already made up their minds that once they weathered this disaster, they must make a trip to the Eastern Continent.
Soon, the omens shrouding the entire North Sea Sky vanished, as if announcing their own end.
The Kingly Title: [Evernight Queen] was completely consigned to History; Margaret I, deprived of her Kingly Title, saw her Power rapidly wither, falling back to the level of a normal Legendary [Knight of Judgment].
In contrast, the aura around Violet climbed higher and higher; a Legend paired with a Kingly Title allowed her to stand at the very pinnacle of the Old Continent’s Extraordinary System.
"Give me back the Crown of the Knights’ Kingdom!"
The two Holy Knight Grand Masters who had been there merely to lend prestige finally snapped out of this utterly unexpected upheaval. Silver-white Holy Light flared from their bodies as they prepared to resort to force, to violently sabotage the unification of The Five Bay States.
As everyone knew, all Knight Professions had originally sprung from the Church’s [Holy Knights].
This was not a physical-side profession in the usual sense of training muscle and killing skills, but a heart-and-mind cultivation path with oaths as its core.
Very similar to the Vinaya School in the Buddhist sects of Byron’s past life: the stricter the precepts followed, the more numerous they were, and the more thoroughly they were carried out, the stronger one’s Power became.
And once an oath was broken, that Power would plummet at high speed.
Margaret I, aside from her genuinely fanatical faith, also strictly abided by the maxims to stabilize the foundation of her Power.
The Church’s [Holy Knights] were able to stand at the very pinnacle of all Knights precisely because they strictly adhered to every virtue and every precept.
Their internal conviction, honed to the extreme, had condensed into Holy Light that could interfere with reality itself, smashing steel and arrowheads like rotten wood.
"Halt!"
Byron, who had originally flashed to the side to "leave the stage" to his wife, now, though clad in Heavy Armor, moved like a weightless ghost, instantly blocking the two in front of him.
It was as if what his armor contained was not a Human, but a raging, surging gale.
Wooo, wooo...
Not "as if"—there truly was Spiritual Wind sweeping through every gap in the armor, in an instant flooding the entire great hall.
The formless, intangible wind recombined into a humanoid figure before them, turning into Byron in a crisp Naval Marshal’s uniform, polished military boots underfoot, standing on thin air.
Storm and drifting clouds were reflected in his azure eyes; above his head appeared the phantom of the [Myriad Wings Angel], symbol of absolute freedom.
Outside the hall, the entire sky over Royal Capital Amarlingburg was roiling with wind and cloud; a sudden tempest made heavens and earth go dim.
After seizing, without drawing a single blade, the Royal Iron that had belonged to Margaret I, Byron’s "Pirate Royal Iron" ritual was also complete.
The Spirituality rank of the Storm Lord instantly crossed the Fourth Order limit, successfully advancing to Fifth Order [Storm King]!
The basic capabilities of the Storm Knight were comprehensively enhanced; he could now manipulate Storm and Thunder within a radius of hundreds of kilometers.
Combined with his own [Transformation] Authority and the inherent nature of the [Myriad Wings Angel], he gained, beyond the living and the dead, a third form that likewise symbolized absolute freedom and the state of an Energy Entity: the Storm Elf.
At this moment, electric sparks danced at his fingertips. Several large steel balls used for Scatter Bombs, along with a 6-pound cast-iron Cannon shell, floated above his palm, faintly glowing.
Yet the fierce sense of danger radiating from them made the two [Holy Knights] instinctively halt, their expressions tinged with doubt and unease.
This was the Fifth Order Arcane Art exclusive to Byron: [Electromagnetic Slingshot].
He hadn’t managed to directly learn the move where you blow the enemy’s head off from eight hundred li away with one shot, nor had he learned that invincible technique where you descend from the sky at Mach 31, throwing in a half–ballistic jump mid-way for flair.
