Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!
Chapter 1104: Clearly Up to No Good
Summer Sutton got up the next day with a foul expression.
Perhaps her words from last night made Watt Bennet reflect, because today, when Summer woke up, Watt was still at home.
This was the first time in so many days that Summer saw him at home when she woke up.
He seemed to be waiting for her on purpose, the breakfast was prepared by the housemaid in advance, tailored to Summer Sutton’s tastes, River City’s flavor.
After getting up, Summer ignored him, went to the bathroom to wash her face, took a shower, and washed away all traces of their wild night. She went downstairs by herself.
When she got downstairs and was having breakfast, she still ignored him.
She finished her breakfast with her head down and left the house on her own.
Watt followed her out, walking leisurely, "I’ll drive you."
Summer still paid no attention, continuing to walk her own way.
At the villa entrance, just as she was about to get into her own car, Watt forcibly pulled her into his car.
"Drive," he gave a light command to the driver in front, bypassing her, and shut the car door beside her with a snap.
Summer didn’t insist on getting out, but on the whole way to Royal Delight, she didn’t say a word to him.
It was rush hour when they arrived at Royal Delight, with many people entering the company.
Watt wasn’t concerned at all about avoiding publicity, after dropping Summer off, he even got out of the car to watch her go in.
Originally, he could have just driven away after dropping Summer off, causing no trouble.
But by getting out of the car, he invited gossip upon himself.
Numerous employees around focused their gaze on the two of them.
"Oh wow, just the other night she was dining with Young Master Ink, and today she’s switched to another one. Her skill in changing men is impressive!"
"Nowadays, these young girls have so many tricks, us middle-aged folks can’t understand them."
"Nonsense, who’s old here? A woman at forty is still a flower, okay?"
"Give it a rest, we’ve got work to do."
Watt lazily leaned against the car, originally looking quite content.
However, after catching snippets of their conversation, his face unconsciously darkened.
Dinner the other night with Manuel Ink?
Wasn’t it supposed to be with a bunch of people from the office?
Why invite her specifically, what was his intention?
Summer didn’t look at him tonight, she bypassed him and went into the company building.
Just as she reached the elevator entrance, Watt suddenly called, "Come home early tonight."
He hung up after saying that.
Summer didn’t take his words seriously. Upon returning to her office floor, she started a new day’s work.
After working for less than an hour, a few female colleagues began to whisper among themselves.
"Have you heard, Lina’s been dismissed."
"How could that be? Wasn’t everything fine yesterday?"
"Exactly, yesterday she was even assigned to produce a program, why the sudden dismissal?"
"Could she have offended someone?"
The group’s voices were kept low, but Summer still overheard them.
While focusing on writing the plan, Summer’s speed slowed, quietly pondering for a few seconds, then instantly understood everything.
The person who had a conflict with her yesterday, Lina was one of them.
Last night, being locked in the restroom for so long, it was Lina, wasn’t it?
And the person who dismissed her was probably Manuel Ink, wasn’t it?
Actually, yesterday’s incident wasn’t difficult to investigate if one wanted to.
Did Manuel Ink help her investigate it after coming to work today?
