The dragon's harem
Chapter 2045: The City of Blood
After going on a murder spree for an hour, Arad was now walking down the endless alleyways with bloodied arms, heading toward the next house. It was then that he heard a voice call out to him, "Murderer Arad Orion!"
He stopped walking and looked up the stairs, seeing the Saintess that Eris had turned into an angel.
"What’s up with that outfit? Did you change jobs from a nun to a guard?" Arad looked at her armor and smiled, "Doesn’t matter, come at me."
The Saintess didn’t reply, just extended her arm, and a blood scythe formed in her palm. "I’ll be taking your head!" And she rushed toward him at blinding speed, swinging that scythe with monstrous strength.
Arad jumped back, and she swung at his neck, quickly stepping aside and then shifting her swing to cut his entire torso in half. He ducked beneath her attack and slipped beneath the sharp blade before sliding into a pile of trash and kicking the massive steel bit toward her.
The Saintess slashed the bin in half with ease and followed him with a single step. Arad dodged the next swing and grabbed her by the hair. She didn’t have enough time to react, as he swung her at the wall, then at the ground with ease, but before he could land a third hit, she cut her own hair with her scythe and escaped his grasp.
"Short hair suits you better." He threw the hair that remained in his hand to the ground and rushed at her, taking the offensive this time. She deflected his punch with the blunt side of the scythe and tried to slash his arm with a spin, but his neck fist punched the shaft of the large scythe, deflecting her attack aside.
Then, before she could recover, Arad kicked her in the guts so hard that she shat herself and hit the nearest building, shattering all of its walls and coming out of the other end. "Where is Eris? She is around, right?"
Just like before, the Saintess didn’t respond and instead just stood with a pale face and readied her scythe. She seemed to have a plan, but Arad couldn’t tell what she was thinking about the same way he couldn’t with Eris.
"Here we go again." He cracked his fist, "She cannot die, but what about you?" With one step, he was already behind her."
She turned around to block his attack with her scythe, and she did. It was just that his attack shattered her scythe apart and sent her flying back. But before she lands, she flicks her fingers, and spears of blood burst from the ground, piercing Arad’s body from every side.
"DIE!" She screamed, clapping her hands, and the spears piercing his body grew needles as well, and tore through his whole body, making sure to mess everything inside up as much as possible.
Arad coughed, blood, stared at the Saintess with a smile, and had a brilliant idea. He gave up, fell to the ground, and his blood painted the street red.
For a whole ten minutes, the Saintess didn’t approach his body, fearing that he might wake up again, but he didn’t. When her weariness faded away, she got closer with shaking knees and touched his neck to check for a pulse.
There was nothing; he was dead. This one in front of her was now just a harmless corpse. "Tough bastard." She growled and fell to the ground in relief.
Half an hour later, the Saintess was walking down the hallway of what looked like a hospital, pushing Arad’s massive and heavy body on a modified table with wheels. Nothing standard could carry his insane bulk.
Soon, she pushed the table into a massive room and called out to the one inside. "I brought him. The serial killer." She looked around with a worried face, counting the countless bodies around. They were the victims of Arad’s rampage, and there were over two hundred bodies of all ages, men, women, children, and elderly; he didn’t discriminate and methodically cleared two neighbourhoods house by house.
Deeper into the room, and beneath a faint light, a tall woman was operating on a woman’s corpse, checking her insides for wounds. "This might be the first victim, but the wounds are different." As she turned around, it was Eris, looking rugged, tired, with baggy eyes, and she was even smoking.
"Don’t smoke in the morgue!" The Saintess swung her arm and snatched Eris’s cigar, only for Eris to snatch it back. "Give me a break, you too will need something when you have to dissect two hundred corpses in a day."
Taking a whiff, Eris threw a glance at Arad’s massive body. "All of his victims were crushed by brute force. Crushed skulls, ripped heads, or kicked to deal with a single hit." She looked at the body of a little child, "He kicks like a damn horse." She approached Arad, touched his neck, looked at his chest, and pushed two fingers into one of his wounds.
He was dead, cold, and what’s more... tough like leather. "He is the size of one as well." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
She then pointed at the woman, "But, this one got stabbed several times." She threw a glance at the Saintess, "We got another one on the loose."
"What?" The Saintess cried, "I’ll go check immediately." But before she could get away, Eris tripped her. "Hold your horses. First, go clean up and get yourself checked. You reek of shit."
"What..." The Saintess growled for a moment, but then stood and sighed, "Fine... but before I go, be careful. He said he was looking for someone called Eris."
Eris froze for a second and stared at the Saintess, "He was looking for me? Curious, I did botch a few bodies, but nothing that’ll get someone coming after me."
She looked at Arad with a crazed smile. "He could also be a secret admirer."
"Take this seriously. I’m certain he was looking for someone else, but the chance that someone is you isn’t zero. You can’t know what is going on in the insane mind of a murderer." The Saintess shouted at her, rubbed her temples, and then sighed. "Anyway, don’t take your eyes off his corpse."
"Relax, he is dead. He won’t come back to life." Eris pointed at Arad’s corpse with her thumb as she was smoking, and he sat up. As the Saintess paled, Eris looked back and saw him sitting up. She then took her cigar off and gave it a dubious stare. "Was it laced with something?" She then took another whiff, "Well, it doesn’t matter if I hallucinate or not now. I should already be hallucinating from all the work."
"NO!NO!NO! He is alive!" The Saintess screamed as she pointed at Arad with a terrified face. In this confined room, the two of them had no way of facing Arad. Eris couldn’t fight, and the Saintess herself was badly injured. If Arad decided to be as aggressive as he was when fighting her, the two of them would end up dead.
Arad looked at them with a smile, and his eyes shifted toward Eris. "I should’ve expected to find you in the morgue tending to the corpses like you always do."
"Now, now, you were looking for me?" Eris glared at him with a tired face. "If you think throwing all those corpses at me would make me love you, you’re mistaken. I’ve had nothing but work, work, and then more work thanks to you." She crossed her arms, still smoking, "Instead of killing two hundred people, wouldn’t it have been easier if you just brought me some flowers?"
Arad smiled, "And how was I supposed to find you? And since you’re here, it means you weren’t the one who killed that woman." He pointed at the stabbed woman he saw first, and Eris looked at her as well. "Of course not, why would I kill her? I’m not that in love with my job."
The Saintess jumped between them and pulled her scythe, "Eris, get back. He is dangerous. If he wanted, he could kill us both in the blink of an eye, so run."
But even with that, Eris still looked tired, not worried. She pushed the Saintess aside and looked at Arad with a straight face as she took off her cigar, "To me, he looks like a wild cat. If we turn around to run, that would trigger him to attack."
The Saintess could immediately tell that Eris was right, and looking at Arad’s eyes only made it clearer. He isn’t going to let Eris escape; she was his target after all.
"That’s why, I got a suggestion, big boy." Eris looked at him with a smile. "Since you love me and all, if I suck you off here, would that distract you enough to let her escape and call for help?"
"ERIS!" The Saintess shouted, and Eris looked at her with a tired and disappointed face. "Shut up, you can’t do it. You reek of shit, and he hates you enough to kick you that hard."
Arad shrugged, "Honestly, I don’t care if she runs away or not. I was looking for you after all." He then stood, approached Eris, and glared at her chest with burning eyes. "Now... what do I see?"
"Breasts..." She looked even more exhausted, "Now listen, I would rather the rescue team not find me half naked, tits out. So, I prefer not to take them out for you to play with."
"You aren’t whole." Arad pointed at her heart, "It isn’t here, Murder."
"Can you stop hallucinating? And can I get to sucking?" Eris tilted her head, "I would rather do it before I change my mind. I’ve been at work for days, and I would be happy to take a break."
Arad looked at her face, directly at her eyes. "I’ve only been killing in the past two hours, yet you spend days here processing the corpses I killed. Don’t you think that time frame feels a bit off?"
She glared back at him, not interested in his story at all, and got down to unzip his pants.
