Chapter 61 - 141 (4)
Swimming back up, I tried getting to somewhere shallow.
But the waves would just pull me back in.
Gritting my teeth, I extended my hand and commanded the dragon scales to latch onto something.
Pulling myself to safety, a large chunk of earth fell directly on the back of my head.
Passing out of consciousness, I made sure that every single scale would shield the little girl.
....
....
....
Waking up, I began coughing wildly.
"Ring, are you okay!" Alleus was pumping my chest. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Out of nowhere, she puckered her lips and began blowing in my mouth.
My face then grew hot, but water then erupted from my throat and out of my mouth.
Coughing again, I quickly stood up.
"What’s the situation... how’s the little girl..?" I asked, a look of seriousness wearing my face.
"The situation is dire, captain. Incus is still preoccupied with the demon Gratius. While you were unconscious, knights had stormed the kingdom and evacuated the survivors... that includes the little girl who you saved." Lieur crossed her arms as she explained.
"What are you going to do now? Your dragon scales armor is not longer with you!" Alleus blinked.
Pulling out a singular scale under the force armor, I commanded:
"Scales, come back to me... make sure not to bring anything or anyone else aside from the dragon scales that has been wrapped to protect the girl."
After a moment of silence, nothing came.
"Ah, I suppose it’s going to take a while." I scratched the back of my head.
Looking around, I finally noticed that I was in a room.
"Anyways, where are we?" I asked.
"We couldn’t just leave you outside, the shallow water would drown you if we laid you flat on your back. Sir!" Ulna the wind mage saluted.
"You don’t need to salute me." I waved my hand. "Let’s hurry up and get outside, we can’t afford to be too far from hero Incus."
"Ahem, I think you’re forgetting do something." Vertere cleared his throat, opening an an expecting eye.
Pushing a door open before running towards a set up stairs that leads upwards, I asked:
"I don’t believe I’ve forgotten anything."
Reaching the door which leads to the escape of the building, we all walked outside.
"I healed your broken spine, damn ungrateful bastard!" Vertere growled.
Covering my face as small chunks of debris were being blown away, Incus was using one of her hero swords to easily destroy the summons of the earth mage demon Gratius.

[Chapter 141: The purifying of the water kingdom]
...
Summoning the [Mana Breaking Hero’s Sword], Incus had cut through the external mana that was reinforcing all of the spells.
’Here I was worrying that he had an incredible amount of mana in his mana pool... turns out hes just a cheapskate.’ Alleus continued to slash down on the great earth monster.
Infusing mana into something from the outside is makes attacks much stronger but it has less reinforcement, whereas infusing mana internally increases durability but is less potent when it comes to providing a stronger attack.
"You are nothing but a mere human, you cannot defeat me!" Gratius shouted, his voice booming.
"Earth burial!" Gratius clapped then slammed his hand downwards on the air.
Everything within the vicinity was then turned into a large cube which began to fall onto Incus.
As the large cube of earth which could be seen from above the clouds, shrouded a large shadow, it slowly began descending.
Summoning all of the hero swords, she commanded:
"ExcaliBurn! ExcaliFrost! ExcaliGale! ExcalEarth! ExcaliBolt!"
An arc of flame then shot out, assisted by and army of ice swords and rising pillars of stone.
A small crater formed on it’s surface... the cascade of attacks wasn’t enough to destroy the cube of earth.
"Your attacks are futile, unlike my previous spells, I have expended everything I have to make sure that it’s concentration of mana is filled up to it’s max!" The demon Gratius laughed maniacally.
Gripping the [Lightning hero’s sword] and [Wind hero’s sword], Incus glared sharply.
Squatting down, Incus flew through the air.
A flashing light which filled the hopes of those in disparity shone on the people.

"We’re going to die! What are we going to do Ring!" Alleus began shaking my profusely.
Thanks to the evacuation of the knights, the amount of people who got caught in the crossfire was been decreased but... there was still some unlucky souls.
Focusing on Incus, she was just a little over four hundred meters away, but it was fine... even if my clarity waned, she will fall back down anyways.
The large cube of earth then slammed through the window screen in the air, making it vanish.
The same thing happened to when the meteor fell through it, just at a larger scale.
"Say something you rotten bastard, don’t go silent on us!" Vertere began shaking my as well.
In the back Lieur was rubbing her head, it looks like she noticed the dulling of her clarity.
As a smirk formed on my face, they jolted.
"Don’t worry." I tilted my head down to meet their eyes, "It will all be over soon."
The cube of earth then began to form to form cracks along it’s surface.
The sounds of crackling was loud, it was echoing in fact.
"H-How is this possibly, this is my strongest spell, how could it have been possibly been broken so easily!" The demon Gratius slammed the pillar which he was standing on.
Shattering into multiple ginormous debris, a scatter of lightning exploded, the debris were being destroyed by Incus.
She had also summoned the fire hero sword, unleashing an onslaught of flaming projectiles in the shape of an arc.
The window screen had reappeared once more.
"This will not be the end!" Thrusting his hands up into the air, Gratius clapped his hands. "Absolute evisceration, death of the globe!"
Bursting through the clouds, an army of meteors began falling towards the kingdom of Febritust.
"This may not be my strongest attack, but you can’t possibly save everyone!" Gratius chuckled, his voice exhausted.
