"Aren’t you going to eat?" Alleus stopped shoving her face, "Come on and eat something before it runs out."Shaking my head, I gulped in air.

"No, I’m gonna hold off for now—"

"Mister?" Said a familiar voice.

Turning around, I gently smiled.

"Thank goodness you’re okay, and it looks like your not hurt." I paused then looked at the chair, "Come take a seat."

"T-Thank you." She sat on the chair, as I slid a few plates in front of her.

"Come on and eat, you need strength for tomorrow." Grabbing a plate of my own, I took a bite of the fried fish, "Huh, would you look at that... it is good."

With a gulp, the girl began eating like a madman after taking in the first bite.

After we finished eating, Vertere cleaned out the bowls and filled it with water for us to drink.

"Mister, what’s your name?" The girl looked at me with curiosity.

"I’m Ring Euclid, but you can just call me Ring." I finished my bowl of water.

"Check status." I whispered, it would be wise to check if she actually has a name so that I wouldn’t cause her any harm beforehand.

So she does have a name, her stats are pretty basic as well.

Placing the bowl off to the side, I asked:

"So then, what’s your name?"

"...I’m Itahisa, you can call me Ita." Ita twiddled her thumbs.

"Ita, do you know where your parents are?" Alleus asked, "You seem to be alone."

"They’re dead..." Ita answered, wincing.

The three of us looked at each other with an akward look.

Bending down, I extended a hand and the dragon scales floated above my hand.

"I will be leaving a few dragon scales, don’t worry they’ll serve to protect you." I held her little hands, "Scales, transfer a few scales in ownership to Itahisa."

Wrapping around her, a hand full of scales turned into a bracelet around her wrist.

The rest of the dragon scales turned back into a cloak, wrapping around me.

"You can call them anything as long as it has the words scale in it." I pointed.

"Scales, turn into a shovel." Shifting around, the dragon scales turned into a shovel.

Stabbing it into the ground I leaned on it.

"Now you try."

"Uhm, scaley turn into a fork?" The bracelet around her wrist turned into a spoon.

"I did it mister Ring!" She looked at me with bright eyes.

"Haha, I suppose that you’ve got some talent for this. You’ve already used it better than when I first got it." I patted her head, "Whenever you’re in danger, command for it to protect you, okay?"

"Okay mister Ring." She nodded her head.

"In any case, its getting dark so it would be best to sleep." I looked up at the moon, "Say Alleus, the moon is quite beautiful tonight isn’t it?"

"D-Don’t say such things you fool..!" Alleus’ face blushed red.

What did I say?

Helping Ita get down from the chair, we began looking for a tent that was near where Incus was sleeping in.

After a while of searching, Alleus stood in front of a tent.

"This looks pretty empty." Walking inside the tent, it was pretty spacious and there were sticks laid out to rest on.

Not only that but there was a hanging lantern, but it’s light was pretty weak, weaker than the moon light.

As soon as Vertere and Ita rested down, they immediately passed out and began snoring.

"Jeez, they must have been really tired." Alleus chuckled.

"Well, it was quite a fulfilling day." I unsheathed the fire hero’s sword, "Looks like you still have some energy left in you, how about we shed it off."

"I thought you’d never ask." Alleus unsheathed her cusped falchion.

Walking to an empty patch amongst the array of tents, we stood a distance away from each other.

Vanishing from sight, Alleus appeared right in front of me.

"Scales, protect me." Floating in front of me, the dragon scales blocked her sword slash.

Vanishing around me, she continued to slash but the dragon scales kept shifting around in a sphere, blocking every attack.

Noticing that a dragon scale was blocking her vision, I slashed horizontally at her.

Dodging by stepping back, Alleus did a summersalt and took off her eye patch, revealing her crimson purple eye.

"Scales, attack her... don’t give her an opening." Shooting out at Alleus, the dragon scales did an assault of attacks.

Sighing a breath of cold air, Alleus glared with focus in her eyes.

Vanishing around in zig zags, Alleus was swinging her blade with incredible speed, as the dragon scales would surround her with a barrage of attacks.

Lunging at me, Alleus swung down her sword but I stood completely still as she was rammed away by an assault of scales.

"Don’t attack in such a straight forward manner, master Index would scold you." I scoffed, stabbing the fire hero’s sword into the ground and crossing my arms.

Maneuvering around the dragon scales, Alleus was being pushed back.

Turning around, I sighed:

"You’ve still got a long road ahead of you—"

A dragon scale then slit my cheek.

"Impossible!" I turned around in horror.

The blade in Alleus’ hand was covered in a blue aura.

"So you’ve attained blade aura." Picking up the fire hero’s sword from the ground, I snickered, "You’re getting closer to becoming my equal."

"Equal? You’ve got it all wrong partner... you’ve become my junior!" Alleus Vanished around in an erratic pattern.

Raising my sword, I shrouded it in mana... blade aura.

Commanding for the dragon scales to limit her pathways, I lunged forward at Alleus.

Clashing blades against each other, the sound of metal slamming against each other resonated in the air.

I wide grin made it’s mark on my face.
