Be Careful What You Wish For: A Zombie Apocalypse-Chapter 246: I Grant Wishes!
Chapter 246: I Grant Wishes!
I didn’t know if it was handy or not to have a house that seemed to be connected to every place. Wanting to go to bed in Paradise, the second I stepped through the doorway of the grass hut, I was immediately transported back into my bedroom.
I didn’t even have the chance to assure the poor zombies that I would be back to play with them later.
"I could have used a few more days in Paradise," I grumbled as I face planted in the middle of my bed. The sun always seemed to take a lot out of me, and all I wanted to do was sleep.
"We could always go back," yawned Tank as he came through the door after me. I never had to worry about being alone if Tank was nearby. It was like a personal affront to him if he wasn’t within eyesight at all times. "I think Dimitri enjoyed his game of beach ball."
"Oui," smirked the man as he walked into my room next. "But maybe, next time, I’s sew de mouth shut so it no try ta take a bite of moi."
"Big Bébé," snickered Ronan as he walked over to the bed and laid down beside me. Tank was already moving me so that I was sleeping on him tonight. "Yous ’ad fun knockin’ out de teeth of yer ball."
"Besides de point," replied Dimitri as he wrinkled his nose. Getting in on my other side, Dimitri draped his arm over the small of my back as he rolled over on his side. Ronan’s arm quickly followed, and combined with both of Tank’s arms, I was well and truly pinned.
"Where are the others?" I asked with a jaw-cracking yawn. "I need Daddy to sleep." ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
"Go to sleep, Princess," replied Chang Xuefeng as he entered the room. "The others are having a little conversation with two of your demons and will be around later. For now, get a good night’s sleep. Morning will come soon enough."
-----
It was like Chang Xuefeng cursed me with his words because it felt like no sooner had I fallen asleep than I was being woken up by the house poking at my mind.
"Too early," I groaned, trying to get into a more comfortable position. However, the four arms on my back made that pretty much impossible. I was pinned like a bug, and I wasn’t moving any time soon.
Ooohhhh, noooo.... How would I ever deal?
However, as soon as the house realized that I had, in fact, woken up, it vibrated like a puppy dog. "What?" I grunted out, not the best at reading emotions. I couldn’t tell if the house had to go potty or found something fun to play with.
"There is a knock at the door," answered Chang Xuefeng as he opened the bedroom door and poked his head inside. "I think the house wants you to answer it."
"Can you not do that?" I grumbled, my eyes practically glued shut with sleep.
"I tried," he assured me. "The house will not open to anyone but you."
Humming in approval, I wiggled down until I was free of the arms. If I had any way to take a picture, I would have done it cause now Ronan and Dimitri were cuddling with Tank, and his hands were on both of theirs.
"I like that," I announced, changing out of my bathing suit and into a black and white dress.
"What do you like, Princess?" asked Chang Xuefeng as he opened the door up wider for me.
"I like the idea that none of you can get out without me," I smirked up at him. "Now, you can’t ever leave me."
So, I might have sounded like a serial killer when I giggled, thinking about all the guys having to stay with me. I was very much of the opinion that there was no leaving me. If they got tired of me or my attitude, they were more than welcome to go take a nap.
"What’s that giggle for?" smirked Chang Xuefeng, placing a soft kiss on my forehead.
"Lord," I smirked at him, the palms of my hands clapped together as if I was in prayer. "If they cannot be with me, let them be with you."
Letting out a soft laugh of his own, my Angel of Death shook his head. "I like this side of you," he finally admitted as we descended the stairs to the front door. "But you know none of us can die."
"Which means that none of you can leave me," I shrugged, opening the door wide open.
The smile on my face disappeared when there was no one there. "What the heck?" I grunted, taking out a lollypop. "I got out of bed for nothing?"
"Are you a witch?" asked a small voice in front of me. Furrowing my brows, I looked down to see a small child, no more than eight or nine years old, standing in front of me. Huh, I wonder how I missed her before. It wasn’t like there was that much of a height difference between us.
"Why do you ask?" I replied, pulling the lollypop out of my mouth. The poor kid definitely was a bit worse for wear. Her blood-covered clothes were torn and tattered, her hair was a rat’s nest, and she was missing a shoe, but there was still a sparkle of hope in her eyes as she looked at me.
"Cause you live in a haunted house," she answered back, pointing up. Stepping out the door, I saw the house in her eyes. Yeah, it definitely looked haunted. It was perfect.
"You’re right," I nodded as I went back inside to where Chang Xuefeng was still standing. "So I guess that makes me a witch."
"Does that mean you can grant wishes?" the girl pressed, her head cocked to the side as she continued to study me. "Cause I learned in school that witches have magic and can grant wishes. And if you are a witch, then you should be able to do magic and grant wishes. Is magic hard to do? Do I need to be a witch, too, to have magic? I think I have magic. The water will come play with me if I ask it to. Does that count as magic? I think it’s magic. So I have magic. So that makes me a witch. Can I live with you since we are both witches?"
The more she spoke without breathing, the more my eyes widened, and I took a step back in terror. Give me killer clowns and zombies, but not a fucking child with no off switch.
"I grant wishes!"
