Chapter 467: Yet Another Knock

Walking back into the house, I flopped down on a chair and took a lollypop out of my space.

"Should we worry?" asked Chang Xuefeng, finding his spot on one of the couches. There seemed to be more furniture in the room since Eric had joined us. Even the room itself was bigger to accommodate everything.

However, if you were just looking at everything briefly, you wouldn’t notice a difference either.

"Worry about what?" I asked, unwrapping the lollypop before putting it in my mouth. "There are so many things you could worry about, you are going to need to narrow it down."

"Like what?" chuckled Ronan as he dropped onto an overside chair. "What is there to worry about?"

"Alien invasions," I started, cocking my head to the side as I thought about it. "Meteors falling to the Earth and wiping out the rest of civilization. Volcanos. A deep freeze that takes over the planet. A heat wave that takes over the planet. Humans that become a bit too smart. An AI apocalypse where your toaster tries to kill you."

"I’m sorry he asked," muttered Salvatore, sitting on the couch beside Chang Xuefeng. "I really didn’t think there would be that many things."

"In a world of infinite possibilities, there are infinite things to worry about," I shrugged, gently biting down on my sucker. It didn’t break the candy, I wasn’t dumb enough to do it hard in case I broke my teeth at the same time, but there was something soothing about biting.

"I think he was trying to get a handle on what is going on in your head," announced Dante, clearing his throat. "I don’t think that last wish went the way you wanted it to."

"Seeing as he wasn’t being punished for eternity by the fires of Hell, no, it really didn’t go the way I wanted it to," I shrugged like it wasn’t that big of a deal. But even as I spoke, there was a need to create something...

I just didn’t know what it should be.

"Why not?" asked Luca, looking around the room confused as he leaned against one of the walls. A vine with a mind of its own started to snake over, ready to wrap around his throat if he said so much as one thing wrong.

"Lilith managed to destroy Hell," explained Tank. "That’s why demons are taking over Earth. There’s no other place for us to go."

"Why?" Luca asked again, turning to look at me. "I mean, if you created Hell once, and you created this house, why couldn’t you just create another Hell?"

Beau scoffed at that question as he came to sit down at my feet. "Why would she want to? It’s not like the demons were all that appreciative. They did everything they could to escape."

Humming, I nodded my head. He wasn’t wrong, but at the same time, I kind of liked the idea of creating a whole new Hell. But why couldn’t I make it on Earth? Like my house was connected to this place, why couldn’t I have a pocket of space where people went to be tortured for eternity?

It would be the best of both worlds. Demons who behaved could stay here permanently, and those who deserved a bit of extra, special attention, could go into the pocket realm.

"I don’t know how much—" started Désiré before he stopped himself and shook his head. "Nope. Not going there. If my princess, my pet wants to create a special place for people who have eaten their wife and child, who am I to say no?"

"That’s the attitude," I chuckled even as Beau picked up my leg and wrapped it around his shoulder. His thumbs started to massage the underside of my heel, kneeding parts of my body I didn’t know needed to be rubbed.

Leaning back my head, I couldn’t stop my moan of enjoyment. "You are really good at this," I groaned as he moved past my heel and up to my calf. Every spot he stopped and concentrated on made me melt just that much more.

"Doctor, remember?" he chuckled as the rest of the guys turned quiet. "And while I might have already declared my specialization, it doesn’t mean that I didn’t dabble in a few others. Massage for example, pressure points... I can do a bit of acupuncture, but I’ll refresh my memory on one of the guys before I put a needle in you."

"So good," I moaned, my brain shutting down as he gently kissed my ankle. "Never stop."

"There is no way you can make me," assured Beau as he continued to stroke my legs. "I’m yours forever, remember?"

"You haven’t given me back my soul," I laughed softly. "I wasn’t sure where you stood on the issue."

Opening my eyes, I looked down to see Beau looking up at me. However, before he could say anything that his eyes were screaming, a knock came at the door.

"You have to be kidding me," grunted Eric, his eyes going wide. "We just dealt with one, and we haven’t been home for more than 12 hours."

"Now I figured out the benefit of staying at the Sanctuary," I grumbled as Beau released my leg. "No one could find me. Here, the house thinks that I need to work harder, so it sends me everyone and their dog who has a wish."

"Speaking of dogs," muttered Luca as he looked out the window. "That dude could really use a shower, or five."

Rolling my eyes, I let out a long sigh as I vanished my lollypop back into my space. "No rest for the wicked."

"We’re finding you at least three vacation houses in the outside world when you have time," grunted Eric as he took my hand. "Even the Devil needs a break."

Humming my agreement, I let him take me over to the front door. The sinking feeling in my stomach the closer I got to the thing made me realize that this was going to be another shitty wish, but not even the last guy made me want to puke before I even saw him.

"Tank," I said softly, my grip tightening on Eric’s hand. "Daddy."

I didn’t need to say anything more. Tank stood in front of me, his bulky frame hiding me behind him even as Chang Xuefeng opened the door.
